-Way-too-early Bowl game projections mean absolutely nothing write now…but it does provide some insight into how national mediaperceives different programs based on their offseasons so far-On3's Brett McMurphy released his bowl projections and has Nebraska playing in Ole Miss in the Music City Bowl---again, the bowlprojection means little---but that particular bowl game probably means an 8 or 9 win season, which very few expect here…Our Sponsors:* Check out BetterHelp: https://www.betterhelp.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Coach is joined by Jimmy Hyams to react to the quarterfinals and discuss the offseason overhaul at Tennessee. Hyams expresses surprise at Alabama's lack of a running game, noting they ran only eight called run plays against Indiana, who became the only team in the last two years to win a playoff game coming off a first-round bye. The conversation shifts to Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss, whom Hyams claims he would vote as the Heisman winner if he could re-cast his ballot, sharing the story of how Lane Kiffin's staff discovered him while watching film on a Division II opponent. Finally, they dive into the changes at Tennessee, where Josh Heupel has fired three assistant coaches and the defensive coordinator following a poor defensive showing against Illinois in the Music City Bowl.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Will it be Ohio State back-to-back or will we crown a new champion? The Auburn Tigers QB room is now empty. Auburn Football has seen Jackson Arnold, Ashton Daniels and now Deuce Knight hit the Portal. Is it a complete reset on the Plains? It was a summary of the entire 2025 season in one game for the Vols: Bad defense, inconsistent offense, untimely mistakes, a costly missed field goal and a defeat, Tennessee's fifth of the season. Where do Tennessee and Josh Heupel go from here? More are coming on the defensive staff and the transfer portal opens on Friday. Josh Heupel said the Vols will come back stronger in 2026 and have reasons for optimism, but it's a big offseason upcoming for the program. Jay Greeson and Chris Lee preview the Music City Bowl between Tennessee and Illinois. Topics include: The Vols' 8-4 record was a disappointment, but they'll be playing in Nashville and, perhaps, with a wish to bury a regular-season-ending loss to Vanderbilt and make better memories going into the offseason. Illinois went 8-4 against a tough schedule, and Bret Bielema had the Fighting Illini ready to play last year, when Illinois upset red-hot South Carolina in a bowl game. Key players out for Tennessee include wide receiver Chris Brazzell II, cornerback Jermod McCoy (potential first-rounder who didn't play this season), Boo Carter (Carter was kicked off the team before the end of the regular season), linebacker Arion Carter, running back Peyton Lewis and backup quarterback Jake Merklinger. Safety Colton Hood (potential high NFL Draft pick) has not opted out as of the date of this video, but could. Key players out for Illinois include linebacker Gabe Jacas (its best pass rusher), All-Big Ten left tackle J.C. Davis and starting safety Matthew Bailey. Tennessee quarterback Joey Aguilar is trying to find eligibility to play in 2026, so he looks motivated to play here. He'll still have a pair of outstanding receivers in Braylon Staley and Mike Matthews available. The Vols' defense wasn't good on the whole, but it did find a pass rush in several games as well as the ability to put points on the board with defensive scores. The Fighting Illini will put their faith in veteran quarterback Luke Altmeyer, who completed 68% of his passes and was picked just six times. Illinois was good against the pass in the regular season on the whole, allowing just 5.9 yards on pass plays after adjusting for sacks. *YEARLY CO* Use promo code SE16KIT for a free sizing kit! https://yearlyco.com/ ROKFORM Use promo code SEC25 for 25% off!
