Perpetual Grace, LTD on *checks notes* Epix is the SECOND great Steven Conrad (creator of Patriot) show we’ve covered and somehow he found an even more obscure platform!!! Ivan and Red talk Jimmi Simpson, Ben Kingsley, completely original accents, and this new future where one prestige drama will be produced per child. It’s rare for one actor to be cast as the same real-life character in two different productions almost simultaneously. When that real life character is Charles Manson, that makes some news. Australian actor Damon Herriman has taken on this challenging role in both Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood” and the second season of David Fincher’s Netflix series “Mindhunter.” Herriman is perhaps best know for playing Dewey Crowe in the series “Justified” and currently plays Paul Allen Brown in “Perpetual Grace LTD.” We talk about the character of Manson, how good writing makes for good acting, and why it's important to NOT add strings to a bow you don't have.
Tacos were BOGO down on the boardwalk so 'Reno's out of commission just in time for Law to make his triumphant return to the BingeCast alongside Vallvey. Vallvey? Valley. Whatever. We got a Goog (single Goog, no junk in it) and a little talk about Marvel's SDCC 2019 panel and what's in store for the MCU. Then, it's on to TV Round up with reviews of Legion, The Handmaid's Tale, Perpetual Grace LTD, The Boys and Letterkenny. Jack also hates on Lost and JJ Abrams because clearly it's that time of the year.Law complains about MIB International and how gross Chris Hemsworth is. Jack reviews Midsommar, One Day Since Yesterday, Z Channel A Magnificent Obsession, In The Mouth of Madness and Hail Satan. Finally, the boys tag-team a review of Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Did it live up to the hype? Is Brad Pitt the greatest person to ever kick ass in moccasins? Ladies and Gentlemen of the podcast community, we are back to give you your second serving of Heroes of Noise for the week. Welcome to Episode 77! This week we 100% winged the episode and damn it if we didn't have a good time doing so. We start this week's show out with our final verdict on fireworks. Firework fans: sorry to disappoint you. Speaking of explosives, Dan recalls and odd kid that he went to school with which brings up an unexpected result. Get ready for The Legend of Fisto. Steve's Wu Tang Clan research has brought the intro to Method Man to his attention. This brings on a conversation about homoerotic threats (you'll see). We round out our pre movie talk with a whiteboard thought about lifeguard lessons that should be applied. As far as what we've been watching, Dan has seen Midsommar and makes damn sure he convinces Steve to do the same. He's also been watching Holey Moley on Hulu (also ABC), Into The Dark: Culture Shock (Hulu), Steve's in the middle of a House rewatch, and they both give their first opinions on Perpetual Grace LTD (Now on Epix). There's a lot packed into this shorter episode of Heroes of Noise but we think you'll be satisfied. When it comes down to it, isn't 5 hours of us in a week's time too much as it is? Enough with the pleasantries people. It's time to push "play" and dig it.
