Let's run it back in 2021.
To kick off our 1 year anniversary extravaganza, Tanner and I began the day by having some of our Patreon supporters calling into the program. We asked them some questions, they asked us a question, and on to the next. We cap this one off with an analysis of the Pacesetter controversy, and what the broader implications are. Reminder: our 1 year anniversary celebration is January 23rd! Fast approaching episode 101, Tanner and I kick off the program with the announcement of our all-day extravaganza on January 23rd before we get into the program. We talk about the second round of nerfs for the DMR and Type 63 and whether they will be enough, go over the mid-season Black Ops Cold War update coming soon, and much much more. Be sure to follow our new socials!
Tanner and I begin this episode with an analysis of our Warzone customs games the night before in which we, again, banned the DMR and Type 63. We talk about the Amax, the Tundra, the Pellington, and more, before we get into the Q&A. Questions covered include positoning tips in Warzone, computer science, cocktails of choice, and much, much more. Do pineapples belong on pizza? Find out here... Amidst the chaos taking place in the United States, Tanner and I take a break from the brewing civil war to talk about Warzone and Black Ops Cold War. We go over the sledgehammer and Bulldozer operator being released before we get into the much-anticipated DMR, Type 63, and Diamatti nerfs, as well as examine the MAC-10's very unusual changes. This leads to a broader conversation about how this isn't the first time, nor will it be the last, that Activision is taking you, and its community, for a ride.
Tanner and I ran an experiment this week in which we played custom Warzone lobbies without the DMR, Type 63, or akimbo Diamattis for all participants, and the experience was insightful. This was to simulate what Warzone will be like after the DMR gets nerfed so we could attempt to figure out what the new meta will be coming up. In this episode, we talk about the current state of Warzone, our experience playing without the DMR and how that changed the meta, and our predictions for what it will be like after the nerf. TrueGameData, whose website and video are linked below, was also very helpful in gathering the data to help us reach our conclusions. This was an extremely good episode, and I recommend you all give it a listen until the very end, as the last segment is where we get into our predictions about the near-term future of Warzone.
Capping off the year 2020, Tanner and I discuss how we will be shifting our focus toward Warzone content (but still, of course, covering Cold War multiplayer as well) and some other brief mentions of our plans for 2021. We also go through a light week in Call of Duty news, including some playlist updates, Rebirth Island having its own BR mode, and more. We would be remiss to not talk about Tony Flame's Twitter account being hacked as well. Thanks for a crazy year boys and girls - here's to 2021. The podcast is streamed live on Twitch every Wednesday and Saturday night at 7 o'clock Pacific! You can find the link below if you wanted to watch live - as you've no doubt heard, viewer interaction is high, so hop in, say your piece, and ask questions!
Tanner returns for episode 93! In another Q&A, we get into Cold War-era questions and talk about the game, as well as Warzone after Cold War, a lot in this episode. We go over best class setups for Cold War and Warzone, the best gun in each category for Cold War, and more. We also debate whether sauces are condiments, how to seduce young (of age) women, and much more. This was a really fun episode and we hope you enjoy it!
