This Weekend Terrified Me Karel Cast 25-44 We all do our chores on our weekend, whenever that may be. Mine is Fri-Sun. One thing I needed to do was go shopping, as I stopped getting hungry root deliveries. Oh my God. I mean, Oh my God. $3.50 pineapples. $1.50 oranges. Two yellow squash for $3. Then it was off to Costco to restock things like flour, sugar, agave syrup and BBQ sauce. $256. And I'm not alone. Steve spent $300 on food this weekend, for just him, for the week. I am now terrified that I won't be able to afford good, whole food. And no one, NO ONE is addressing this. What does Trump say? “I'm not concerned at all...” About 25% more for cars. About the tariffs and food. I am. Also, Gavin Newsom and others are now saying the Democratic brand is toxic because it caters to the educated elites. Wow, is this just WRONG. The Karel Cast is heard on all streaming services from Apple Music to iHeart Media, Spotify to Spreaker. The show is Monday through Thursday at 10:30 am Live PST. It can also be seen on TikTok and Instagram. Karel is a history-making broadcaster and entertainer currently in Las Vegas with his little service girl Ember. The Karel Cast is supported by your donations at patreon.com/reallykarel Please watch, like and subscribe to the videos at youtube.com/reallykarel

It seems that all the AI labs decided to just dump EVERYTHING they have before the holidays?

This is a sample from a rich inner work retreat Bea and Uranio are teaching in Thailand this week. In this episode, Bea and Uranio discuss the Enneagram symbol and how it can be seen as a map for growth in Levels of Awareness. If we think of the Enneagram as typology only, we run the risks of stereotyping and judgment. A way to see this clearly is to recognize that different types are praised and criticized depending on the Enneagram type of the surrounding culture. They discuss the Enneagram as a map of transformation and how we can see it as a path for raising awareness. Our team has been thinking about you—our audience and community members. So we are conducting a few focus group sessions to learn more about your Enneagram-based needs. If you are up for joining one of those sessions, we would love to give you access to a self-guided online course of your choice. If you're interested, head to https://cpenneagram.com/focus to learn more and for next steps. Sign up for our LOVE LANGUAGES 2 course being held from September 8-10, 2023 (Fri-Sun). The nature of conflict is inherently stressful and it can push us backwards in our level of consciousness. Wow about 5 months since the last episode and it took a recent gathering from a friend to tell and show me that he listens to my podcast, thanks Bry ! And here to recap what's been going on, no excuse really but been lazy to create more episode because of the lack of or any interest at all of my podcast has demotivated me to not do much with this platform. I'm sure I'm not alone when thinking this when creating content on whichever platform you use to share your thoughts, experience and such to the world. Besides staying consistent with my clients and seeing progress with most of them, the notorious excuse eludes others to going backwards with their progress instead of forwards. The typical yet hard to manage "the weekends" is what's killing my progress. And for most, this would be true but other factors come into play if it's a total loss but if you structure your week accordingly to the "write off" of a weekend then your progress still becomes progress. For example, if they were to stay on track with calories/macros between Mon-Thurs and with Fri-Sun being a write off, they could have structured their eating accordingly or even add a cardio workout session before the eating/drinking get out of hand. Regardless, most people have the most hardest times figuring this out and it comes down to discipline and planning to come out of it on top. Yes, you will make mistakes but if you have a goal to hit and a time limit on top of that then sacrifice is needed to succeed. Listen, being at a gathering has only a couple things that are different (topic of conversation, types of foods and even the way people act) and by you continuing to sabotage yourself during these events will only lead to being the same every single time you go to these gatherings (the way you look and feel) I've been listening to a lot of Dr. Jordan Peterson's podcast for some time now and a lot of his literature has given me more tools to be connected with my clients and my own personal life to not only better my self but hope to help others - since it's helped me. It's amazing to what I've learned through physiology and how most of it is relatable to health and wellbeing, I then rephrase to have it geared towards my clients challenges to help them become courage's and overcome these obstacles. I grow each day knowing that I'm impacting a life for the better and if you are listening to this, I thank you for the support and look forward to seeing and hearing that you've unlocked a side to yourself that you never thought possible.
In this special episode of the Low Carb Hustle, we take a question from a MDB Mastermind client who wasn't losing weight. The question we answer is "how can we eat healthy on the weekends and create longer streaks?" (btw, the MDB Mastermind is the Lifestyle Nutrition, Training, and Accountability Group we have here. You can get your first 2 weeks for just a buck - check out nate.fit for more info) This is a great question for 2 reasons. Weekends are the hardest for most of us. It's easy to do good Mon-Thurs, then blow everything up Fri-Sun. If we get through the weekend and have created a 7 day streak, the momentum we've built will help us get better results faster. Join in and see exactly how to stay on plan on this special Ask the Trainer episode. Tune in and check it out! And if you want to get your questions answered by Coach Nate, go to freenutritionaudit.com to book a quick time slot to chat - at no cost to you! Are you treating things like a checklist rather than really allowing it to filter into every area of your life? i.e. going to the gym, but then eating crap? Working on your goals Mon-Thurs but then forgetting what you committed to Fri-Sun? Going to church on Sunday and not thinking about your faith again until next Sunday? This can apply to anything in your life - So the question is where are you stagnant/complacent in your life? What needs to change? What are you doing about it? Some of us are complacent because we know the right thing to do, but we fail to do it.Some don't know the right thing to do, therefore they don't do it and that is complacency too. Main topic: finding your purpose. QOTD: “The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”― Ralph Waldo EmersonAnnouncements: The first ever Teen Catalyst event is happening the last weekend of June, 24-26. To those that have followed the cooking careers of the Goldee's BBQ crew it comes as no surprise that this Fort Worth joint has quickly ascended to “must visit” status on the Texas barbecue bucket list. After learning from some of the best in the business, this group of childhood friends built out their own restaurant and opened in early 2020 firing on all cylinders. Goldee's persevered through a tumultuous 2020 and came out stronger. With a menu of Central Texas classic meats, sides and desserts that are all handled with great care and attention, they've elevated the classic BBQ menu to a higher level. Add in some creativity on specialty sausages and sides and Goldee's is one of the most exciting stops in the entire state. Amy asks: "As my small practice has suddenly gotten busier post-Covid, the number of emergencies (or patients who believe they have an emergency) has increased tremendously. I especially wanted to hear your suggestions on how to handle patients that call at the end of the week in pain but there is no time available for them until Monday (we are closed Fri-Sun)."I love talking about ER patients so I'm going to break this answer down into 3 parts and 3 podcasts. Part 1: Let me go over specifically how I would handle the question you asked. What do you do when a patient wants to be seen at a time we do not have available? Part 2: I want to talk about how to set up the doctor and clinical team for success. What info to get on the phone that needs to be relayed to them, where to schedule them on your books and what to do when they arrive?Part 3: I want to review the ER phone call and the exact scripting I would use for that call top to bottom.First off:Yes, don't we get this often. An “emergency” patient calls and needs to be seen, but only around their time. Let me tell you how to handle this while keeping customer service number one, but also being in charge of your schedule. First off, please know that a true emergency will do whatever they need in order to come in at your open time. The goal of an ER visit is to diagnose what is going on with the patient and hopefully get them out of pain. We can never guarantee tx the same day. Ideally, I would like you to see your ER patient same-day or next-day if possible. Even if they have to be put on the side and worked into the schedule. Now if it is the end of the day and at the end of a work week, I would offer them earliest you can Monday morning and again, work them into your schedule. You need to make it known to the patient that you have a full schedule of patients but we will work you in, but there may be a longer wait than usual. If they are adamant they need to be seen BEFORE your next business day and your doctor does not do out-of-office hours, then I would refer them to your endodontist and/or the ER room if it's a real emergency. You may just need to re-train the patient in these cases, that emergencies need to be scheduled around your office's availability, and that they can't get in whenever they want. email me: ashley@bonddentalconsulting.comwebsite: https://bonddentalbilling.com

We’re headed down South, virtually! Jeff sits down with Richard Price, Assistant Manager at our Miramar location, and longtime friend of our guest, Collin Corrigan, owner of Cerveceria Transpeninsular. Collin talks about his beer journey from simply “knowing that beer comes in a can” to opening his own brewery, Transpeninsular. The three discuss some of Colby’s original brews, fun trips down to Ensenada, and how the craft beer industry has developed in Mexico over the years, with Transpeninsular dubbed the “official bi-national brewery of Mexico.” Later, Chef Chuy joins us with another beer and food pairing. This time, he is keeping it light and healthy with a gluten free, vegan ceviche recipe, perfect for pairing with a Longfin Lager. Visit Cerveceria Transpeninsular Monday-Thursday, 12-8 or Fri-Sun, 12-9.

Through training in the attack and defence techniques of judo, the practitioner nurtures their physical and mental strength, and gradually embodies the essence of the Way of Judo. Thus, the ultimate objective of Judo discipline is to be utilized as a means to self-perfection, and thenceforth to make a positive contribution to society.”In his professional life, Kanō was an educator. During the remaining years of the 17th century, Cristofori invented two keyboard instruments before he began his work on the piano. The spinettone, Italian for "big spinet", was a large, multi-choired spinet (a harpsichord in which the strings are slanted to save space), with disposition 1 x 8', 1 x 4'; most spinets have the simple disposition 1 x 8'. This invention may have been meant to fit into a crowded orchestra pit for theatrical performances, while having the louder sound of a multi-choired instrument. The other invention was the highly original oval spinet, a kind of virginal with the longest strings in the middle of the case. It was thought for some time that the earliest mention of the piano is from a diary of Francesco Mannucci, a Medici court musician, indicating that Cristofori was already working on the piano by 1698. The first unambiguous evidence for the piano comes from the 1700 inventory of the Medici mentioned in the preceding section. The entry in this inventory for Cristofori's piano begins as follows:Un Arpicembalo di Bartolomeo Cristofori di nuova inventione, che fa' il piano, e il forte, a due registri principali unisoni, con fondo di cipresso senza rosa..." (boldface added)An "Arpicembalo" by Bartolomeo Cristofori, of new invention that produces soft and loud, with two sets of strings at unison pitch, with soundboard of cypress without rose..."The Medici inventory goes on to describe the instrument in considerable detail. The range of this (now lost) instrument was four octaves, C to c″″′, a standard (if slightly small) compass for harpsichords. He was born in Padua,Republic of Venice.4 May 1852 - Alice Liddell - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alice_LiddellAlice Pleasance Hargreaves, was, in her childhood, an acquaintance and photography subject of Lewis Carroll. One of the stories he told her during a boating trip became the children's classic 1865 novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. On 4 July 1862, in a rowing boat travelling on the Isis from Folly Bridge,Oxford, to Godstow for a picnic outing, 10-year-old Alice asked Charles Dodgson (who wrote under the pen name Lewis Carroll) to entertain her and her sisters, Edith and Lorina, with a story. As the Reverend Robinson Duckworth rowed the boat, Dodgson regaled the girls with fantastic stories of a girl, named Alice, and her adventures after she fell into a rabbit-hole. The story was not unlike those Dodgson had spun for the sisters before, but this time Liddell asked Mr. Dodgson to write it down for her. He promised to do so but did not get around to the task for some months. He eventually presented her with the manuscript of Alice's Adventures Under Ground in November 1864. The extent to which Dodgson's Alice may be or could be identified with Liddell is controversial. The two Alices are clearly not identical, and though it was long assumed that the fictional Alice was based very heavily on Liddell, recent research has contradicted this assumption. She was born in Westminster, London4 May 1966 - Jane McGrath - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jane_McGrathJane Louise McGrath, England-bornAustralian cancer support campaigner, and the wife of former Australian cricket fast bowler Glenn McGrath. In 2005 Glenn and Jane McGrath founded the McGrath Foundation, a charitable organisation dedicated to raising money to fund breast care nurses in rural and regional Australia, and to increase breast awareness in young women. As of December 2018, 120 McGrath breast care nurses have been placed in communities throughout Australia, supporting over 67,000 Australian families experiencing breast cancer. The third day of the first Sydney test cricket match at the Sydney Cricket Ground each year is now known as Jane McGrath Day, where money is raised for the McGrath Foundation. Spectators at the SCG wear pink to show their support and sponsor logos in various places are also recoloured pink for the match. On 5 January 2013, Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard announced an $18.5 million donation to the McGrath Foundation from the Australian Government. The funding allowed all 44 existing McGrath breast care nurse positions to continue and expand the program by 10 full-time equivalent places. She was born in Paignton, Devon.4 May 1970 - Will Arnett - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Will_ArnettWilliam Emerson "Will" Arnett, Canadian-American actor, comedian and producer. He is best known for his role as BoJack Horseman in the Netflix series of the same name and George Oscar "Gob" Bluth II in the Fox/Netflix series Arrested Development, receiving a nomination for Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. He has appeared in films such as Blades of Glory, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. His involvement with The LEGO Group continues as Fox Network announced him as the host of their show LEGO Masters, which premiered on February 5, 2020. He was born in Toronto, Ontario.Events of Interest2nd May 1970 - 50th anniversary of Hunter S. Thompson and Ralph Steadman at the Kentucky Derby - https://theathletic.co.uk/1783460/2020/04/30/an-inside-look-at-how-sports-shaped-hunter-s-thompsons-gonzo-journalism/“The Kentucky Derby Is Decadent and Depraved" is a seminal sports article written by Hunter S. Thompson on the 1970 Kentucky Derby in Louisville, Kentucky, first appearing in an issue of Scanlan's Monthly in June of that year. Though not known at the time, the article marked the first appearance of gonzo journalism, the style that Thompson came to epitomize through the 1970s. The genesis of the article has been described by Thompson as akin to "falling down an elevator shaft and landing in a pool of mermaids." Accompanied by Ralph Steadman's sketches (the first of many collaborations between Thompson and Steadman), the resulting story, and the manic, first-person subjectivity that characterized it, were the beginnings of the gonzo style of journalism. The article is less about the actual race itself – indeed, Thompson and Steadman could not actually see the race from their standpoint – but rather focuses on the celebration and depravity that surrounds the event. Thompson's depiction includes the events in Louisville (his home town) in the days before and after the Derby, and Steadman captured the debauched atmosphere in his surreal drawings. Thompson provided up-close views of activities in the Derby infield and grandstand at Churchill Downs, and a running commentary on the drunkenness and lewdness of the crowd, which he states in the article as the only thing he was focusing on with the work. The narrative ends with a bittersweet anagnorisis, somewhat common in Thompson's work; after several days of immersing themselves in raucous partying and alcoholism to get a sense of the event, Thompson and Steadman realize that they have become exactly the type of people they originally planned to caricature.4th May 1961 – Malcolm Ross and Victor Prather attain a new altitude record for manned balloon flight ascending in the Strato-Lab V open gondola to 113,740 feet (34.67 km). - https://www.patriotspoint.org/news-and-events/world-record-balloon-flight-set-by-navy-at-113739-9-feet/On 04 May 1961 Navy balloon pilot Commander Malcolm Ross and flight surgeon Lieutenant Commander Victor Prather (MC) ascended to the world record height of 113,739.9 feet above sea level in their open gondola Strato-Lab. This record still holds today in 2011 for manned balloon ascent. The record-setting flight on 04 May 1961 from the USS Antietam was scheduled to test the new Navy Mark IV pressure suit. The Mark IV suit’s performance impressed NASA scientists and a modified version was selected for use by the Project Mercury astronauts. Strato-Lab remained in the air for 9 hours 54 minutes, and covered a horizontal distance of 140 miles during its flight. The research goals of the flight were successful, unfortunately LCDR Prather drowned when he slipped into the water and his pressure suit filled with seawater.4th May 2013 - Dr. Who And The Daleks enjoyed a rare theatrical re-release - https://www.scifihistory.net/may-4.htmlOn this day in 2013 (in the United Kingdom), 1965's Dr. Who And The Daleks enjoyed a rare theatrical re-release. The feature starred Peter Cushing as the signature Timelord, and here's the plot summary as provided by IMDB.com:"An eccentric inventor and his companions travel in his TARDIS to the Planet Skaro and battle the evil menace of the Daleks."It was followed by Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 A.D. Filmed in Technicolor, it is the first Doctor Who story to be made in colour and in a widescreen format. The film was not intended to form part of the ongoing story-lines of the television series. Elements from the programme are used, however, such as various characters, the Daleks and a police box time machine, albeit in re-imagined forms. The Daleks were redesigned slightly for the film. They had larger base sections, which made them taller and more imposing than the TV Daleks, which were only about five feet high. They had large, red dome lights and some were fitted with a two-jawed mechanical claw instead of a plunger. They also had more colourful paint schemes. Standard Daleks had blue domes, skirt balls and fenders, and gold collars. A Dalek leader was painted predominantly black and a second-in-command in red. Originally the Daleks were to be armed with flamethrowers, but these were vetoed on health and safety grounds and because they were considered too frightening for a young audience. Instead, the guns produced jets of CO2 gas from internally mounted fire extinguishers. Some of the Daleks used in the background for crowd scenes were constructed from moulded fibreglass, and can be distinguished by the slightly different shape of the collars around their midsections.IntroArtist – Goblins from MarsSong Title – Super Mario - Overworld Theme (GFM Trap Remix)Song Link - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-GNMe6kF0j0&index=4&list=PLHmTsVREU3Ar1AJWkimkl6Pux3R5PB-QJFollow us onFacebook- Page - https://www.facebook.com/NerdsAmalgamated/- Group - https://www.facebook.com/groups/440485136816406/Twitter - https://twitter.com/NAmalgamatedSpotify - https://open.spotify.com/show/6Nux69rftdBeeEXwD8GXrSiTunes - https://itunes.apple.com/au/podcast/top-shelf-nerds/id1347661094RSS - http://www.thatsnotcanonproductions.com/topshelfnerdspodcast?format=rssInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/nerds_amalgamated/General EnquiriesEmail - Nerds.Amalgamated@gmail.comRate & Review us on Podchaser - https://www.podchaser.com/podcasts/nerds-amalgamated-623195

Elijah and I meet up at for this interview at CDA (California Dental Association) annual conference. He catches us up on current affairs, and what behind the scenes looks like for him. He’s focusing on multiple businesses, but plans to focus primarily on Smiles at Sea soon. Cancun July 7-9 Fri-Sun (fri pm classes, sat am classes) this will focus on “rising stars”. (Discount code in links below) Elijah has gathered a new-found focus, we talk about the intention for that and how he is really looking at how he can mentor more people and raise them up and help get them to their next level. Although Elijah doesn’t have a coach or a mentor - he has many mentors, but no one that he calls his “personal coach”. As a high schooler, he was a motivational speaker to kids – now he has found that he gets the same feeling working with his peers and keeps him going! We talk about the bugs eye view vs. the bird’s eye view and how dental hygiene is a layered profession, that can bury you if you are at the bottom layer (think of a lasagna). Elijah’s partner calls him a pathological dreamer but he’d rather be an optimist than a pessimist because an optimist is 5x more successful than a realist. He recaps his last CE cruise “Dentistry Meets Nursing” and says it was the best Smiles at Sea so far, however after the cruise he realizes that dentistry is much more interested in the overall health integration into medicine than nursing is. Comments on his ads from nurses were of frustration because mainly oral health topics were being offered. Even on the cruise they showed disinterest in obtaining the information on how mouth health changes the dynamics of overall health. We talk keto diet and personal training, how he feels, why he’s getting fit and spending time with his family. Takeaways: Help as many people as you can while you are in the rat race, focus on helping people as you go. Mentor and when you fall talk about what caused you to fail and what you are doing different. Links to topics discussed: www.SmilesatSea.com Coupon code HMHL gets you $50 off any trip you choose. The documentary, A Second Opinion, is debuting at Seattle’s AMC Pacific Place 11 this weekend, Fri-Sun 9/19 – 9/21, and Eric & Ralph will be hosting live Q&As there all weekend. If all shows are sold out for the weekend, AMC will take the film nationwide, so this is a make-or-break opening weekend. If you live in the Seattle area, please go see the movie this weekend! Eric and Ralph will give anyone who mentions that they heard of the film on Bulletproof Radio a free, signed copy of the DVD (with TONS of bonus materials), and admission to the live Q&A’s is free with a ticket stub from the movie theater for the documentary. A Second Opinion is a documentary by award-winning filmmaker, Eric Merola, about Ralph Moss and his whistleblowing on a massive cover-up involving the unconventional cancer therapy Laetrile at Sloan-Kettering Institute for Cancer Research. Eric has worked for Fuel TV and the WE Network, worked with Michael Moore on the documentary “Capitalism: A Love Story”, and his documentary BURZYNSKI has garnered widespread distribution and numerous international awards. Ralph has written more than 15 books on cancer research, and has received lifetime achievement awards from the American College for the Advancement of Medicine, the Cancer Control Society, The National Foundation for Alternative Medicine, and many other organizations in the cancer education and alternative medicine industries. Why you should listen – Laetrile is a natural compound that research showed stopped the growth and spread of cancer, and the info Ralph has to share is shocking for anyone that has ever had their lives touched by cancer. Ralph and Eric discuss the history of the Laetrile cancer treatment, why it was rejected and renounced, and also touch on other exciting new breakthroughs in cancer therapy that people should be aware of. Enjoy the show!
