Ortiz se sentó a conversar con el Dr. Wilfredo Cosme, quien es alergista e inmunólogo, grado que completó en la Universidad de Puerto Rico, Recinto de Ciencias Médicas. Todays' episode is with Dr. Andrea Dempsey. Dr. Andrea Dempsey was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. She was fortunate enough to live overseas in Europe and Saudi Arabia as a child because of her father's international work. She returned to Canada and earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She went on to complete her medical degree at Ponce School of Medicine, Puerto Rico. Dr. Dempsey went on to specialize in Internal Medicine at Maricopa County Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. She relocated to Las Vegas in 2006 where she completed her third year of Internal Medicine residency at University Medical Center, Las Vegas, Nevada, and became board certified in Internal Medicine. In 2009, Dr. Dempsey took the oath to become a U.S. citizen and now holds dual citizenship with the U.S. and Canada. She enjoys working in the outpatient setting as well as seeing her patients in the hospital. She has hospital privileges at Mountain View Hospital and provides hospital coverage at Summerlin Hospital as well.

Dr. David H. Chafey, MD is Associate Professor, Musculoskeletal Oncology, and Orthopedic Trauma, at University of New Mexico School of Medicine. He is also the Fellowship Director for Trauma and Oncologic Reconstruction there. Dr. Chafey got his medical degree from the Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico. He completed his orthopedic residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He then went on to complete a fellowship in orthopedic trauma at Sonoran Orthopedic Trauma Surgeons in Scottsdale, Arizona. He then got a second fellowship in musculoskeletal oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Carmen Landrau, MD: Know Your Worth Carmen W. Landrau, MD is a cardiologist and keynote speaker who graduated from Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico, followed by a residency in internal medicine and fellowship in cardiology, both at The University of Texas Medical School in Houston. During her senior year of cardiology she was Chief Cardiology Fellow. After her graduation she trained in cardiovascular imaging, then was hired by the Cardiology Division at UT to be part of the staff. She opened her solo private practice in 2010 and closed her outpatient clinic in 2016. Dr. Landrau is a member of the speakers bureau of the American Heart Association and now dedicates most of her time to be a professional speaker whose talks about empowering women are directed to help women recognize their talents and voice their achievements.
