In the episode, Paul and Alex talk about comedy, TV pitches, and making it out of Portland. Alex Falcone is the only comedian and writer living in Los Angeles. He recently made his late-night debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and he appeared on a handful of episodes of Portlandia on IFC. In 2018, he won Portland’s Funniest Person, which was big news there but he’d understand if you didn’t hear about it. Trust us, it was a huge deal. He’s also done a bunch of other weird stuff, including co-authoring a young-adult romance novel about a mummy called Unwrap My Heart that Publisher’s Weekly called “unfortunate.” Despite these modest accomplishments, he’s somehow remained down to earth and approachable. https://www.instagram.com/alexfalcone/ https://twitter.com/alex_falcone https://www.facebook.com/alex.falcone.comedy --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/paul-jordan774/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/paul-jordan774/support
Virginia Jones is without a doubt one of the most interesting comics to grace a stage. Her engaging laugh and sparkling personality separate her from the crowd wherever she goes. She joined us on the very day she is awaiting her first niece or nephew. Texas born, Virginia began her comedy journey in Portland in 2006 and was one of an amazing group of comics to raise the bar in a sluggish Portland Comedy scene. After 10 years in LA, Virginia has carved out a career that makes her memorable and unique. Enjoy and Subscribe and leave us a review. PS... It's a Boy!

Ghostbusters! Thats what we are talking about in the new episode of Reboot, Reuse, Recycle! And to discuss the most controversial remake of the year the Rebootie Boys are joined by Portland Comedy superstar Caitlin Weierhauser. We talk about the original classic for a moment and then dive into the remake (we all loved it, by the way). We cover the great humor, Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon and ghosts. Then we talk about all the ridiculous and frequently misogynistic, backlash aimed at this film. We also talk remakes in general and have a grand old time. Does Kyle fire Chris and replace him with Caitlin? Does Caitlin take over and fire Chris? Do we determine if Ghostbusters is good once and for all? Well listen to Ghostbusters(1984/2016) to find out!
Another night, another dive bar on some outskirt with another night of Portland Comedy: the opening act for karaoke and Tim Ledwith is the headliner. He takes the stage with dozens of eager would-be singers occupying the other half of the room. He plays for the dozens of devotees, offering all of their attention. His honesty unravels you while demystifying himself. Enjoy this. Introduction by Brodie Kelly. Photo by Jason Traeger. For more about Tim, go to TimLedwith.wordpress.com.
