Rate/Review: a great, no-cost way to support us Summary: The Power of Benchmarks in LinkedIn Advertising & Sales In this episode of The LinkedIn Ads Show, host AJ Wilcox welcomes Ruby James from LinkedIn to discuss one of the most valuable benchmark reports available for B2B startups—Growth Benchmarks for Scaling B2B Startups. Unlike traditional benchmarks that focus solely on marketing performance, this report integrates both marketing and sales metrics, offering a holistic view of what success looks like for startups. Key Takeaways: The Evolution of Measurement in B2B Marketing The top-performing startups are measuring marketing success beyond lead generation, focusing on sales metrics like meetings booked, opportunities created, and revenue closed. Sales and marketing are increasingly aligned, with some companies merging them into a single "Revenue Team" to eliminate attribution battles. The Growing Impact of Executive Thought Leadership Startups that integrate executive and industry thought leadership into their content strategy see higher engagement rates and stronger conversion rates through the funnel. Data shows that retargeting audiences who saw thought leadership ads converted 45% more frequently than those who only saw traditional brand ads. Low-lift, high-impact content (such as quick takes from executives) performs better than highly produced videos. The Shift to an ABM (Account-Based Marketing) Strategy Early-stage startups have increased ABM adoption by 30% in just two years. More companies are leveraging LinkedIn's ABM tools, dynamically integrating CRM data and intent signals from platforms like G2 to refine their targeting. Successful startups focus on pipeline acceleration campaigns, ensuring they engage buying committees throughout the entire sales cycle. Reimagining the B2B Funnel The traditional marketing funnel is outdated, and leading companies are shifting to an “in-market vs. out-of-market” approach (based on LinkedIn's 95-5 rule). Companies that engage early in the buyer's journey (before prospects enter the market) are more likely to be on their final shortlist when they're ready to buy. The "Measurement Gold Rush" Startups are investing in advanced measurement solutions (e.g., HockeyStack, Factors AI, Dreamdata) to track multi-touch attribution and incrementality. The mindset is shifting to accepting that not everything can be perfectly measured and prioritizing longer time horizons for campaign evaluation. Final Thoughts & Call to Action The full benchmark report is available in the show notes, and listeners are encouraged to read along. Ruby invites listeners to connect with her on LinkedIn for more insights and upcoming research. AJ encourages LinkedIn Ads fanatics to check out the LinkedIn Ads Fanatics community for exclusive content, courses, and coaching. This episode provides game-changing insights into LinkedIn advertising and B2B marketing strategy, especially for startups looking to scale efficiently while ensuring sales and marketing are aligned. Join us in an interview with one of our clients who got pregnant at 44! Our guest speaker for this week's episode is Jennifer Quist! From our work together: Hormone balance, nutrition, and mindset. All of these directly relate to how we changed our lives - for the better - and created a team around us to help give us the support we needed to see the importance of making such massive changes. She is a 45-year-old mom to a one-year-old little girl, Ruby James! At 43 years old, she was told she had a 1% chance of getting pregnant, that IVF was no longer an option, and that finding a donor egg was the only way to have a baby "at her age." In her heart, she just knew that wasn't the case, and her journey to get pregnant naturally began! She read unlimited books, listened to all the podcasts (including Egg Meets Sperm!), interviewed and worked with NDs, MDs, acupuncturists, nutritionists, endocrinologists, therapists, coaches, healers, mediums, you name it. She and Jennifer's fiance changed their lives in every way to get healthy and make a baby! They got pregnant naturally, not once, but twice. While the first resulted in a miscarriage at 8 weeks, the second gave them Ruby James, born one month shy of her 45th birthday. Through a large piece of this journey, they were lucky enough to find and work with Dr. Aumatma, who not only helped them put all the pieces of the puzzle together but ultimately gave them the foundation and stability to try for a healthy pregnancy. And that's exactly what happened! Jennifer Quist has over two decades of hospitality industry experience in multiple roles, including restauranteur, professional chef, operations director, independent strategist, and business consultant. She is now taking her experience from her personal and professional worlds to start a new business, Wish Well, supporting women through fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and the first year of their little one's life. "Trust the timing and your body. Check your hormones regularly and work with your team to understand them inside and out; what you put into your body (every single thing) matters! But understand the correlation between food and how it impacts your egg quality, hormones, etc. - otherwise, it might be much harder to make such drastic changes". - Jennifer Quist Follow Jennifer Quist on: Instagram: @jenquisty Follow me on: Instagram: @holisticfertilitydoctor TikTok: @holisticfertilitydoctor Youtube: @Holistic Fertility Expert Facebook: Join our private Fertile AF tribe!

Christie Weber and pat mAcdonald organized quite a show and once again Door Pod Show was there! Recorded June 14-16, 2007, this series of podcasts on the topic of the fabulous Steel Bridge Songfest are Door Pod Show’s most ambitious production yet. The 17 audio files were pared down from over 100 recordings done over a three day period. And yes, it took me a long time to complete, but I think the results are worth it. Here are a few things to keep in mind. Several files were recorded backstage and have lots of LOUD background noise. There was also lots of wind and some of the recordings reflect that, most notably the interview with Paulie Rocco. I think the interviews are worth the noise however and encourage you to give each one a listen. The podcasts include interviews with Jackson Browne, Jane Wiedlin, Jonathon Spottiswoode, James Hall, Chris Aaron, Ruby James, Tony Brown, Melanie Jane, Catacombs of Rome and many, many more artists. And don’t miss Margaret Welch of the National Trust for Historic Preservation who gives a shout out to Christie and pat for their hard work in preserving the Sturgeon Bay steel bridge. Ruby burst onto the music scene as a solo artist in 2006 with the release of her EP Sweet as Sin, immediately captivating critics and crowds, with moxie and sophistication and a kick ass stage show, leaving a swarm of heady fans in her wake. Her sultry yet sweet voice tempted, teased and rocked premiere venues from Central Park in New York City, Hard Rock Live, Austin's Continental to LA's Viper Room and The Whiskey. Whether it be on her own or sharing stages with Jackson Browne, Jane Weidlin, Soul Asylum, 7Mary3, War and Fastball, Ruby James is often compared to legendary icons Stevie Nicks, Sheryl Crow and Chrissy Hynde. Humbly aware, she is committed to and succeeding at blazing her own unique trail through modern rock. "Ruby James is one to watch out for"- Austin 360 Review (Austin American Statesman) rubyjames.com
