In this powerful episode, Amb. Elisha continues a vital teaching series focused on the life of a true citizen of heaven. He reminds listeners that merely hearing God's Word without applying it is self-deception, according to James 1:22. Elisha breaks down three essential steps every believer must take when engaging with God's Word: acquiring information, understanding it, and most importantly—applying it. With relatable examples and a heartfelt story about a school discovering hidden gold, Elisha paints a vivid picture of the value of divine revelation and childlike faith. You'll walk away challenged to not only learn but live out God's truth in your everyday life. Key Takeaways: • God expects action, not just attention. • Listening without application equals deception. • Faith, like the children's in the story, is powerful when pure. • Your response to God's Word determines your transformation. Scripture Reference: James 1:22 Theme: Christian growth, spiritual responsibility, living God's Word Listen now to be equipped, encouraged, and reminded of what it truly means to be a citizen of Heaven. ... Did you say anything you regret this week? How about the last five minutes? We're stuck here in the meantime and we're all getting a little bit tired, a little bit cranky, a little bit DONE. James, the brother of Jesus, had some pretty strong things to say about the power of our words and how to use them. So how do we handle our words and our thoughts while we're waiting.Scripture Reference: James 3:2-12
A call to action for every Christ-follower to exam their hearts and personal agendas. Is our bitter jealousy, selfish ambition and desire for earthly possessions producing an internal conflict? And as a result, our unsatisfied want, creates then an external conflict among our brothers and sisters in the church? All of these leaves us to wonder, what is the real source of the church's conflict among themselves? Scripture Reference: James 4:1-10
Dispelling the theory that Christianity is "not a religion, but a relationship" and providing the Biblical definition of what religion truly is. It is serving others with encouraging words, helping hands and a pure heart. Scripture Reference: James 1:26-27
