Send us Fan Mail“God Is Findable: A Real Conversation on Pain, Purpose, and Hearing His Voice”In this episode of Greater Formation & Power, Coach Tom sits down with Sarah Shaw—a creative entrepreneur and emerging leader with a passion to help her generation encounter God in a real and personal way.Sarah shares her journey from a questioning, multi-denominational upbringing to a deep, hard-won faith shaped through suffering, identity crisis, and honest wrestling with God. After a severe autoimmune health breakdown in her teens, she faced years of pain, isolation, and confusion—forcing her to confront deeper questions of identity, purpose, and God's presence.Through that season, Sarah began learning how to hear God's voice, steward hardship, and move beyond surface-level Christianity into authentic relationship. Today, she leads creative and entrepreneurial initiatives that explore the intersection of theology, psychology, and creativity—helping others “wrestle well” and discover that God is truly accessible. This conversation explores:How suffering can become a catalyst for identity and formation What it actually means to hear God's voice The danger of shallow, cultural Christianity Why “wrestling with God” is essential for real faith The importance of being willing to step back, heal, and be “benched” in leadership Practical ways to encounter God personally in everyday life If you've ever felt stuck, confused, or distant from God—this episode will help you re-engage with honesty, depth, and hope.
This episode of the Pure Report podcast, features Solutions Director Andrew Sillifant where we dive into the implications of Oracle 26ai, focusing on what enterprises must do to prepare for this major long-term support release. Our discussion positions Oracle as part of the database industrial complex, noting its enduring dominance alongside Microsoft SQL Server, together accounting for over 50% of the enterprise market. Oracle 26ai is presented as the latest phase in the database lifecycle—following G for Grid and C for Cloud—which capitalizes on the momentum of artificial intelligence by repositioning the database as a full system. The new version embeds AI vector store capabilities and machine learning models, allowing organizations to combine structured data from legacy systems with unstructured data (like S3 tables) for better context awareness. Our conversation shifts to a look at the complexity and risk of database upgrades, which extends far beyond the DBA team to considerations around capacity planning, application integration, and platform choices. Andrew notes that while Oracle is mature and its upgrade cycle is well-known, infrastructure modernization, including decisions on virtualization and containers, is now taking precedence due to many economic and regulatory forces. The addition of new capabilities in 26ai —including OLTP, analytics, and vector data types means increased storage consumption and introduces new workload patterns that stress the compute layer. Enterprises face decision paralysis when considering the cost and multifaceted nature of these changes, making a simplified, reliable infrastructure foundation critical. We close with a look at how the Everpure platform is an essential risk reduction element in the upgrade process, simplifying the storage layer so it reduces complexity in the upgrade process. Key benefits discussed include de-risking capacity bloat through metadata-only snapshots for development, test, and QA copies, and offering extremely fast recovery speeds, with examples citing a two-node Oracle RAC database restore at 68 terabytes per hour. Non-disruptive risk reduction (NDU) capabilities and the Evergreen service model are emphasized as a significant moat against competitors, providing a low-risk platform that allows teams to pivot their focus to the database upgrade itself, rather than the underlying infrastructure. Understanding the Stages of Life, Faith, and CallingIn this teaching, Coach Tom walks through a powerful framework for understanding the seasons of life and spiritual development.Drawing from the work of Richard Rohr and leadership researcher Bobby Clinton, he explains how God often shapes a person's life through several distinct phases—from building and identity formation, through seasons of transition, and eventually into wisdom and legacy.Coach Tom explores:• The Heroic Journey (roughly ages 20–40) — building life, identity, and direction• The Transition Years (40–55) — where humility, surrender, and deeper formation become essential• The Wisdom Journey (55+) — learning to live a released life that blesses othersHe also introduces Bobby Clinton's six stages of leadership and faith development, showing how God intentionally shapes our lives through:1. Sovereign Beginnings2. Spiritual Formation3. Gift Discovery & Development4. Life Maturation5. Convergence6. LegacyOne of the most striking insights: only about 20% of believers reach the “convergence zone.”This is the place where a person's gifts, calling, experiences, and spiritual maturity come together in what Coach Tom calls “Kingdom flow.”This teaching will help you:• Understand where you are in your life journey• Recognize how God uses transition and hardship for growth• Avoid becoming “bitter” or “stuck” during mid-life transitions• Move toward a life of wisdom, humility, and greater Kingdom impactIf you are in a season of transition, searching for clarity about your calling, or wondering how God is shaping your life story—this conversation will give you perspective and hope.__________________________You can connect with Coach Tom at:https://greaterformation.com/Email: Tom@GreaterFormation.com P.S. ... Have you ever considered that some of the beliefs shaping your life… aren't actually true? Most of us didn't choose “lies” on purpose. They formed slowly—through words spoken over us, painful experiences, and moments when we were just trying to make sense of life. But those beliefs don't just affect how we think… they shape how we live.In this podcast, I'll help you:Recognize the lies you may be believing about yourself, God, others, and lifeSee two primary ways lies get exposed (God's revelation + people's truth)Learn a simple pathway to overturn them: humility, teachability, God's perspective, honest friendships, and wise mentorsBecause the good news is real: the lies you learned can be unlearned.Fruitfulness follows clarity—and clarity begins when truth replaces false agreements.Reflection questions:What false perspective is God addressing in you right now? What are you doing to respond to it?Who have you invited to speak truth into your life? What might God be surfacing “under the surface” that needs action?__________________________You can connect with Coach Tom at:https://greaterformation.com/Email: Tom@GreaterFormation.com P.S. ... In today's episode, I reflect on a recent discussion I had with female business owners about year-end goals and planning for the upcoming year. Many entrepreneurs tend to shift their focus to the new year as soon as November hits, missing out on the potential for growth and success in the current year-end months. Although it's important to plan ahead so you are poised to start the year off strong, failing to maximize the last quarter of the year, especially November and December, can leave you missing out on sales, momentum, and impact. Today we're going to walk through the principles I apply to my business each year, and that I help my clients use to make their year-end powerful and lucrative. You can use these principles to make sure you're set up for a strong year end, whether you're a start-up or an established business (these work for everyone). By implementing these steps, you can make the most of the last few weeks of the year, ensuring a powerful end to your current year and a strong start to the next. Be sure to give it a listen for valuable insights and tips to boost your business! Dr. Sunil Gupta explained that diabetes is common in adults over 65 years and often occurs alongside other health issues such as high blood pressure, cholesterol, heart, kidney, or eye problems. Managing diabetes in seniors typically follows a stepwise approach: diet and exercise first, followed by oral medications, and insulin if needed. Blood sugar fluctuations can be dangerous in elderly people, so regular monitoring is essential. If a meal is missed or appetite is low, blood sugar should be checked, and light food, fruits, or milk can be consumed by them. Dr. Gupta emphasized that special care is required for those with comorbid conditions, and newer medications help control blood sugar without increasing the risk of hypoglycemia. Similarly, modern insulin formulations can lower the risk of nocturnal hypoglycemia by up to 30–40%. Foot care in elderly is critical, as poor circulation and nerve damage increase the risk of infections or amputations. Regular foot checks, proper footwear, and avoiding smoking or tobacco are essential. He also noted that Type 1 diabetes, common in children aged 5–15, can occur at any age. Parents should attend training to manage insulin and handle emergencies at home. Regular check-ups and doctor consultations are crucial to prevent complications and maintain overall health in both seniors and children. Welcome to this episode dedicated to style clarity for the new season! Today we're exploring why knowing your style is the foundation for dressing with confidence, how to decode your style personality, and practical ways to prep your wardrobe for Autumn/Winter 2025. Why Finding Your Style Matters Building a wardrobe centered on your authentic style saves time, money, and stress—making daily dressing easier and more creative. When you know your style personality, you'll shop more intentionally and avoid chasing trends that don't feel like “you”. Style empowers you to express your identity, wants, and vibe—whether that means embracing bold colours, tailored pieces, or something unexpected. Key Steps to Defining Your Personal Style Audit your wardrobe and call out what you love: keep only pieces that make you feel great. Create a moodboard or lookbook of outfit inspiration—notice patterns in colours, shapes, and brands you're drawn to. Ignore “rules”: Style is personal, so experiment until you discover what feels authentic. Shop with intention; invest in versatile basics but layer in statement finds that feel uniquely right for your lifestyle. Autumn/Winter 2025 Trends Breakdown Chaotic layering is a top trend: Think mixed prints, clashing textures, and a playful “undone” vibe. Tailoring & sleek shapes: Structured vests, wide-leg trousers, and midi skirts define this season's everyday elegance. Animal prints go beyond leopard—expect cowhide, Dalmatian, and faux fur details for statement coats and accessories. Earthy tones take the lead—mocha, burgundy, suede, and even touches of red hot for striking accents. Quiet luxury evolves into ‘maximalism': bold colours, expressive patterns, and statement accessories help you make a style impact. Key essentials: Wide leg trousers, knitwear, classic boots, tailored coats, versatile layering pieces.
