In this guest expert episode, Gina chats with Certified Nutritional Practitioner, public speaker, and host of the feelgoodery podcast, Kyle Buchanan. Together, they explore why summer can leave us feeling mentally scattered—and how that doesn't mean you're off track. Kyle unpacks how future-focused thinking can trigger anxiety, zap your motivation, and even stop you from getting started. You'll hear how younger versions of yourself might be reacting in the moment, and how simple practices like breathwork and the SSCC framework (Stop. Slow down. Connect. Compassion.) can help shift your state. Kyle also shares why those first 10 minutes after waking are gold, and how the tiniest mindset shifts—like one long exhale or one kind word—can lead to massive change over time.Where to find Kyle:Instagram: @itskylebwww.kylebuchanan.cafeelgoodery PodcastThe Exhale with Kyle Buchanan on SiriusXM RadioYou can find the full video hosted at:www.facebook.com/groups/livymethodspring2025To learn more about the Livy Method, visit www.livymethod.com. SWOT ***Free SWOT and STCC tools available for download here: https://adept-experimenter-3588.kit.com/0cd1576fe5 Teaser:We are half-way through May and hopefully you have begun thinking about next year. A couple weeks ago I took several district leadership teams through a simple process to facilitate conversations around next year. We did two activities – the SWOT analysis and the Stop-Start-Continue-Consider process. These are meant to be high level starters for discussion of priorities. I think the two activities work well together as the SWOT identifies the what and the SSCC focuses on the how. In today's show, I'll walk you through the process we went through and I'll try to be explicit enough that you'll be able to facilitate the activity with your team if you so desire. This also might be a show you want to pause or save for a time when you can think and write, but of course that is up to you and your individual context. This week on Vatican Insider, the interview segment is a repeat but it features a compelling storyteller and fascinating guest, Fr. Bill Petrie. At the time of our conversation, Fr. Bill, a priest of the Order of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary (SSCC), was pastor of St. Damien parish on the Hawaiian island of Molokai'i. We've been friends for a number of years and usually met at Kalaupapa on Molokai'i to talk about Sts. Damien, SSCC, and Marianne Cope and their work there with victims of leprosy. We met at the home of some mutual friends in Honolulu on the island of Oahu to talk about his 25 years of work with St. Mother Teresa! 25 years! Tons of insight and remarkable stories about this holy woman, whose feast day we celebrated recently. I cannot find my photo of our Honolulu encounter but there was a rainbow over Fr. Bill's head as we finished our talk! Fr. Bill now lives on Oahu. I have been focussing on St. Teresa recently, as you know from my recent interview segment when my guests were the producer and stars of the film, “Mother Teresa and Me.” The film was released by Fathom Events in select U.S. theaters for one night only on Oct. 5 2023. (Originally aired on 9/30/23)
