Even princes and rulers were engaging in them - leadership, no doubt. These marriages served to pull the Israelites away from the same God that had just before delivered them from persecution. Exo 34:8-16 There's a long precedent to this, given their history: Deu 7:1-8 Solomon, also a leader, struggled with... for full notes: http://www.lbible.org/index.php?proc=msg&sf=vw&tid=1764
Those of you who have been forgiven, but don't feel forgiven, be reminded of the heart of God. Those that are struggling with condemnation, guilt, mentally getting past something you've done that has already been paid for, your yoke is meant to be easy and your burden light. If you struggle with guilt on a regular basis about something you've done, this is for you. Monologue: Autumn gives an update on Jude and an amazing opportunity he had after he faced adversity and a massive health scare. Message: Autumn encourages the believers who have been forgiven much but still struggle with feeling guilt and shame. Testimony: A listener shares how she has found solace and comfort through her community in her church and small group by allowing herself to be vulnerable with her emotions. Welcome to the Grace in Focus podcast. Today, Philippe Sterling and Sam Marr are answering a question from a Exodus 20:5-6, a reference about the sins of the father being passed to the third and fourth generation. What does this mean and how does this happen? How does grace interface with or relate to this

How to study the BIBLE: XII.Let us Pray: Does Cod hear every prayer we pray to him? For many it's their life style, or their life style they choose to live. Many live a life style that is contrary to God's Word, Because of that God can't hear, not saying he doesn't hear. In other words its going through one ear and out of the other, your words aren't getting his attention: ( Isaiah 59:1&2).Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/chatting-from-the-word-hosted-by-oscar--4081759/support.
The Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast welcomes you to our study in the book of Revelation. We begin in Revelation chapter 18 with our teacher, Dr. John G. Mitchell. In chapter 17, Dr. Mitchell spoke of the world church, religious Babylon. Now in chapter 18, he will speak about political and commercial Babylon. Is this still mystery Babylon, or is this a literal city Babylon yet to be rebuilt? Here God calls for His people to come out of her and be separate. Put Christ first!Dr. Mitchell references these verses:Is 13:19-22Jer. 50:13ff.Jer.51:20-25, 37ff, 57ffHere is Dr. Mitchell, Rev. 18.
Fruitless labor signals the devil's interference, while fruitfulness reflects God's blessing (Job 9:29, Psalm 1). Hard work alone isn't enough; spiritual anointing empowers success. Bondage, like generational poverty, and demonic taskmasters hinder progress (Exodus 1:9-14). Iniquities and sins block prosperity (Jeremiah 5:25). Repentance and alignment with God's will break these barriers, unleashing divine favor. The sermon urges believers to pray for deliverance from evil marks and curses, ensuring their labor prospers, impacting generations (Judges 6:3-4). Trust in Father God, not worldly systems, transforms lives with lasting fruitfulness. All these questions were answered just as Perry Stone, Jonathan Cahn, John Hagee, Jentezen Franklin, Benny Hinn, Chris Oyaklihome, Steven Furtick, Joel Osteen, Joseph Prince, Joyce Meyer, Paul Dhinakaran, Samuel Patta, Ezekiah Francis, Johnson Varghese, Paul Thangiah, Mohan C Lazarus, TD Jakes and others01.) What is fruitless labor?02.) What does fruitfulness signify?03.) Why do some people labor in vain?04.) What are taskmasters in the spiritual context?05.) How do sins impact prosperity?06.) What is the difference between sin, transgression, and iniquity?07.) How can one break free from fruitless labor?08.) What role does spiritual anointing play?09.) Why do some communities face persistent limitations?10.) How can believers ensure lasting prosperity?

Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away. 4. Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple. 5. Psalm 130 A Song of Ascents “In Christian tradition the psalm became one of the seven penitential psalms, the others being Ps. 6, 32, 38, 51, 102, 143” Allen, 195. “This psalm, of course, is a penitential psalm, focusing not on the evil of Israel's enemies, as does Psalm 129, but on the wrongs Israel has done” Alter, 455.130:1 Out of the depths- Ps. 30:1; 71:20; Isa. 51:10; Ezek. 27:34; Jonah 2:2-6 This is “a figure of speech suggesting his insurmountable difficulty, even to the point of death:…The exact problem is not specified” B.K, 886. I have cried to You, O LORD- Ps. 17:6; 86:7. Is the I used of the author individually or the people collectively? “In v. 1, the psalm-singer addresses God by the divine name YHWH: in v. 2, the psalmist uses the more generic Lord (adonay). The pattern (divine name followed by generic name) is repeated in vv. 3-4 and in vv. 5-6. Only in vv. 7-8 is the divine name YHWH used twice” NICOT, 927. 130:2 Lord, hear my voice!- Ps. 4:1; 64:1;102:2; 119:149; 141:1 .Let your ear be attentive- II Chron. 6:40; 7:15; Neh. 1:6, 11 “What is clear in all such passages is that self-help is no answer to the depths of distress, however useful it may be in the shallows of self-pity” Kidner, 446. To the voice of my supplications- Ps. 28:2; 140:6 “The Hebrew word translated supplications comes from the same root as those render ‘grace' and ‘be gracious'” Miller, 411. 130:3 If You, LORD, should mark iniquities- Iniquities “is the primary word used to describe human sin and guilt in the prophetic writings” NICOT, 928. The word iniquities will reappear in vs. 8. “If He should deal with us exactly as we are; if He should overlook nothing, forgive nothing, we could have no hope” Barnes, 259. O Lord, who can stand?- Ezra 9:15; Ps. 76:7; Amos 7:2; Nah. 1:6; Mal. 3:2; Rev. 6:17. This is “an adaptation of the question of the entrance liturgy ( ‘who shall stand' 24:3; 15:1)” Allen, 192.Compare the thought of I Kings 8:46; Psalm 143:2; Prov. 20:9; Rom. 3:9-20, 23. 130:4 But there is forgiveness with You- Exod. 34:7; Neh. 9:17; Dan. 9:9. “He derives comfort from the known character of Yahweh as a God who forgives (cf. 86:5, 15): this divine quality transcends man's sinfulness” Allen, 195.That I may be feared- Jer. 33:8-9 “Forgiveness increases the sinner's reverent awe of and trust in Yahweh (cf. I Kings 8:38-40)” Allen, 192. 130:5 I wait for the LORD, my soul does wait- Ps. 25:3, 5; 27:14; 33:20; 37:34; 40:1; 52:9; 62:1, 5; Isa. 8:17; 26:8 Notice the shift from 2nd person (vss. 1-4) to 3rd person (verses 5-8). And in His word do I hope- Ps. 119:74, 81, 114, 147 The word hope appears in both vs. 5 & vs. 7. 130:6 My soul waits for the LORD- A similar phrase is used in Judges 5:9 with “my heart goes out to the commanders” Allen, 192.. More than the watchman for the morning- “He compared his weight to that of a city's watchman looking for the first rays of dawn, for then they would be relieved of their duties by other guards” B.K., 886. Indeed, more than the watchmen for the morning- The verb waits is missing in the Hebrew text but it added in some translations like the NIV because it is implied- VanGemeren, 802. 130:7 O Israel, hope in the LORD- 131:3 “The psalmist's faith and hope impel him…to encourage others to be faithful and hopeful (Pss. 22:22-23; 27:14; 31:23-24; 32:8-11; 34:3, 5, 8-14; 51:13-14; 131:3)” McCann, 1206. “The morning will dawn; the light will break in the east; deliverance and joy will come” Barnes, 260.
I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Sunday morning, the 17th of November, 2024, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in Psalm 65:3: “Iniquities prevail against me; As for our transgressions, You will provide atonement for them.” Beautiful! In the Amplified Version it says: “Wickedness and guilt prevail against me; Yet as for our transgressions,You forgive them [removing them from Your sight].” Oh beautiful! Then 1 John 1:9: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Isn't that beautiful? Jesus provides a way of escape, a way out. Not only does He forgive us of our sins, but He also forgets our sin! When you go to the Lord and you say, “Lord, remember that thing that I did last week?” He says, “No, I don't remember. When He forgives, He forgets, not like us - when the going gets tough we say to that person, “Remember what you did to me at that other time?” God never says that. That is why I love Him so very much. Romans 8:1 (Amplified Version): “Therefore there is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Saviour].” Isn't that beautiful? No fishing - okay, there is a big pool there, you want to go fishing - no! There is a sign up there that says, “No fishing!” When God forgives, it is done, therefore go, sin no more. It is like getting all those accounts at the end of the month. You don't know how you are going to pay them, you start opening these accounts and there is a big stamp, right across those accounts, “Paid”, “Paid”, “Paid in Full” - “Paid By The Blood of Jesus Christ which was shed on the Cross of Calvary for you and for I.”Go therefore today, knowing that your sins are forgiven and the Master says, “Go and sin no more.” Jesus bless you and goodbye.

We read in Scripture that each man must bear his own sin. Our sin is personal. A father shall not bear the sins of his children, and neither are children responsible for the sins of their father. Iniquities, however, are inherited and generations of descendants later, our offspring can still suffer its consequences. So how do we break generational curses in our bloodline, and ensure they are not passed down to our descendants?

A new MP3 sermon from Grace Bible Independent Baptist Church is now available on SermonAudio with the following details: Title: For he shall bear their iniquities Speaker: Phil Seely Broadcaster: Grace Bible Independent Baptist Church Event: Sunday - AM Date: 7/21/2024 Bible: Isaiah 53:11 Length: 62 min.
We are justified by faith. Works do not justify us. But if we are saved, we will have good works. Iniquities are sins we refuse to confess and renounce. Sometimes we are powerless, but we can continue to repent and develop a hatred for sin. This confession will soon empower us to be set free. It's all about faith! Faith is our righteousness in God's eyes.

In this week's study, I continue in Chapter 18 with verses 4&5. Before I get into the study, I discuss some news events about the global elite. I discuss the so-called terror attack in Moscow Russia. I read numerous quotes pertaining to liars. I talk about the so-called conservative ministers backing Donald Trump. I also quote from the book ‘Pawns in the Game.'4. another = al'-los A primary word; “else”, that is, different Come = Come forth. My People. = See Jerm. 50:4-9, and compare Isa. 10:20, 24. Jer 50:4 In those days, and in that time, saith Yahweh, the children of Israel (spiritual) shall come, they and the children of Judah together, going and weeping: they shall go, and seek (in the Hebrew manuscripts we see the word ETH placed here) Yahweh their Elohim. They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces thitherward, saying, Come, and let us join ourselves to Yahweh in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten. My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their restingplace. All that found them have devoured them: and their adversaries said, We offend not, because they have sinned against Yahweh, the habitation of justice, even Yahweh, the hope of their fathers. Remove out of the midst of Babylon, and go forth out of the land of the Chaldeans, and be as the he goats before the flocks. For, lo, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north country: and they shall set themselves in array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain. sins. = Here the Greek word is used as a noun. ‘hamartia' = This word can be used in 3 different ways1. a failing to hit the mark; 2. hamartema = ‘ham-ar-tee'-ah' the actual sin. 3. paraptoma = ‘par-ap'-to-mah'a falling aside, when one should have stood upright. Plagues = play-gay' From ‘place-so'; a stroke; by implication a wound; figuratively a calamity;Babylon's evil deeds reach heaven (Revelation 18:5) 5. her = Babylon/spiritual confusion reached = The texts read "joined" or "built together". The idea is of a great heap firmly fastened, and towering, like another Babel, as far as heaven. The idea is more than that of the cry of sin reaching heaven, as in the case of Sodom ); the sins themselves, many and majestic, have touched the face of heaven. Yahweh has remembered her. Iniquities = ad-eek'-ay-mah; a wrong doneThis is a Hebraism. The length of time during which Babylon's sins have been accumulating is implied in this "remembrance." Compare chapter 16:19, "and great Babylon came into remembrance before Yahweh." This "remembrance" implies a former rebellion: a rebellion which was repressed by dispersion but is at the time of the end to find in re-union, another opportunity for outbreak. Thirdly, we notice her deeds. In this verse we have the reasoning for this impending judgment. "For her sins have reached/piled up as high as heaven, and Yahweh has remembered her iniquities."It is interesting, "reach-piled up." It could be translated even "joined." It is from a Greek word kollao (kol-lah'-o) and it literally means to glue together. And the idea here is that the sins of Babylon have been glued together layer upon layer upon layer creating a final structure of wickedness that has reached all the way up to heaven.Have any questions?
