Discover the power of having a coach as told by Stephen dela Cruz.
Stephen Dela Cruz is known to be a visionary and he’s here to help you with your vision. Stephen explains how a person without vision dies, meaning you can be alive but not truly living a life with purpose. He adds on If you make money your primary vision, you have no vision. Take a moment to ask yourself this, what is my vision? The answer to this question is it has to be way bigger than you. For instance, the word Television originated from Walt Disney Tell-A-Vision to be able to raise funds to help build Disneyland. A true visionary who made his outrageous dreams become a reality and surrounded himself with visionaries like himself. One common question Stephen asks himself when coaching is, who is that person in front of me? Who are they meant to be? Now ask yourself, what is my life purpose and how can I serve other people? Stephen says, if your vision’s not big enough, it’s not a vision. With all that was said, it’s time to take action. Write down your purpose and vision to create a road map to success.

She now lives in Hong Kong, the setting of her first book, Fool Me Twice, which details the pitfalls and abuse she experienced in her online search for love. Jules began writing her book in 2010 when she was involved in an internet dating scam. She decided this was an important story to share with other women to prevent them from becoming caught in the same trap and help them make safer, smarter decisions when dating online. It took a long time for her to muster the courage to share her story after battling the shame of choices that landed her in a dangerous situation she counts herself lucky to have survived. Jules has always had a passion for people and their stories, so she started her podcast ‘Hong Kong Confidential’ in 2017 to provide a platform for sharing the stories of interesting and unique people in Hong Kong. Just as she knows the importance of sharing their stories on her podcast, she feels that her story can make an important contribution to the safety of those navigating the complicated—and sometimes illusionary—internet dating world. Welcome to Success Talks hosted by Stephen Dela Cruz. Today Stephen interviews David Lowe the creator of Qwerky Co-living a tech startup connecting likeminded individuals, to be able to live and work together. Originally the idea came from a pilothouse serving eight entrepreneurs but soon they realized that they could serve so many more people! David was born in England but ventures over the pond at the age of thirty-two to Austin Texas, where he started a company called Uber Pong, a ping pong based company. Within a year Uber Pong was making custom paddles for different distributers, and within two years started to host a celebrity Ping-Pong tournament. The hardest part of starting this new business for David was having to start from square one after moving. Not only that the process of being able to live and work in the U.S. took around a year for him. Starting over has made starting new businesses hard for David, because you really have to start from scratch while creating your network. While David does plan to stay in San Diego for a while, him and his partner are already thinking about being successful and helping others, especially focusing in Tijuana. Visualizing that Qwerky is already a success allows David to build backwards instead of building from the ground up. This visualization helps him and his partner think of their destination not just the problems at hand. What sets Qwerky apart is David’s plan to really build a co-living community by focusing on bringing together likeminded people. David’s best advice for those looking to move to San Diego as an entrepreneur is, Immerse yourself in the culture Never stop learning Get out and see San Diego Get in touch with David at Hi@qwerkycoliving.com Instagram @Englishdave Twitter @davidjLowe Linkedin David J Lowe @qwerkycoliving Qwerky.co David Lowe Bio: David Lowe is a British/American entrepreneur who is passionate about building brands that help people connect and grow as human beings. David had big success with his 1st startup Uberpong partnering with major clients like the LA Dodgers, Nike and Red Bull before successfully leading the company to an exit. David moved from Austin to San Diego to launch his next venture, Qwerky - a community for like minded people. Qwerky allows entrepreneurs to live with purpose. Daniel, "I'm a journalist who got his start from a broken heart. When my last relationship ended in suicidal thoughts, I knew I had to change. So I studied love, channelled my sexual desire into self-improvement, and shared my journey on sites around the web--which led to my career. Today I make a living through my purpose, and I coach others to do the same. " www.dowlingwriter.com http://millennialsuccess.io/9-ways-to-change-your-life-in-90-days/ ST31 : Stephen Interviews Daniel Dowling Stegela Success Mastery Download Notes from this episode: In todays episode Stephen Dela Cruz interviews Dan Dowling a twenty seven year old writer based out of Albuquerque New Mexico. Dan’s is the current head writer of a state project aimed at finding, and keeping talented entrepreneurs in New Mexico. Dowling’s story starts in 2012 after a crushing heart break, recently out of the military and no tin college yet, he is dating rich older women to try and fill his purpose. After a few years of wallowing, he started to look at how his behavior in, and outside of relationships was affecting his life in a negative way. With Zig Ziglar as an inspiration he began to write about his journey, and how he started to turn his life around. Thinking of how he could take his life to the next level, he began writing more seriously, keeping a journal, and focusing on bettering himself. Today he considers himself an accountability coach, helping motivate, and keep people on the path to success. By working with people to set goals, motivating them to reach those goals, and hold his clients accountable, Dan hopes for full self accountability within three months. So what would Dan Dowling tell himself four years ago to get himself on the path he is on today? Set goals and keep yourself on task every single day, when you have a purpose you begin to build momentum, and start to feel better about yourself. As you begin to focus on the path you have set for yourself, time starts to pass more quickly, and before you know it you have become a completely different person. KEY POINTS - set clear goals - change your circle of influence - work on yourself - personal development is the key to business development - hold yourself accountable.
In this episode we do this a little different, we have a "table talk" about network marketing. Join Stephen Dela Cruz, Dave "Shades" Evans, Steve Meim, and Casey Nicole Fox for this conversation! Summary of this episode In today episode guests, Casey Nicole Fox, Dave “Shades” Evans, and Steve Meim talk about the benefits and the downfalls of network marketing. Casey Nicole Fox was introduced to network marketing around two years ago, and believes if you’re going to be successful you at least need to be passionate about the product. Steve Meim Has had a couple of different experiences with network marketing, one was basically illegal, and the second was in financial services. Both companies he didn’t feel any passion for. Dave Evans had joined Amway Corp. at nineteen years old, bought all the education, books and training, but never applied the knowledge. Understanding that network marketing is more of a stepping-stone, instead of being a full fledge business plan is a key point to this episode. Stephen Dela Cruz believes there is nothing wrong with network marketing, other then the fact people with so much potential get stuck making money for others. A great way to think of network marketing is to think of the gold rush. The people who made the most money, were the ones who sold the tools to the miners. In the same way network-marketing companies sell you the tools to become a good entrepreneur, while you still make money for their company. Although network marketing may be exciting promising you control of your own destiny, remember you are only a sales person. Even if you are very motivated, and a wonderful sales person, you have to consider after the warm market runs out you have to commit to digging for the cold market as well. That’s why so many people either fall off of their network marketing, or jump from marketing company to marketing company. Networking comes from generosity, while network marketing throws generosity in your face. KEY POINTS - network marketing is not business ownership - if you want to be successful network marketing wont get you there easily - most people fall off network marketing - network marketing is used in correctly - just because the big wigs agree with it doesn’t mean they are involved - is it really smart to pick up the scraps of money that you made someone else?
Ryan McMunn Founder & CEO | BRIC Language Systems Ryan McMunn is Founder and CEO of BRIC Language Systems, an innovative web-based language acquisition program. As the former President of Asian Operations at a leading U.S. manufacturing firm, McMunn has long understood the importance of learning the native language of his Chinese colleagues. Over the course of several years, he attempted numerous times to learn Mandarin. His attempts included private tutoring sessions, group classes, and virtually every other language training method available. He eventually found success with a program, taught by Kassey Wong, in Shanghai that utilized a unique teaching method specific to Mandarin. Recognizing that the use of language-specific learning techniques is essential to grasping any new language, McMunn along with Kassey Wong, founded BRIC Language Systems to teach Mandarin in 2011 and have since developed Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish courses taught by teachers in Brazil and Mexico. “It’s quite simple actually,” Ryan stated. “The mechanics of learning Mandarin Chinese are completely different from the way you should learn Brazilian Portuguese, for example. If you apply the same teaching methods to both, you are almost certain to fail.” The BRIC Language Method is based on three key components: cultural immersion with native speaking teachers in location, exclusively developed interactive learning content, and customization to each students interests. McMunn and Wong ascertained that not every teaching approach should be built upon the European language model (as most other programs are), and with that, they designed a technology-based program that facilitates an interactive method proven to effectively harness both teacher and student. The BRIC Language method encompasses cross-cultural training, personal and business applications and real-life social exercises, along with live online teachers accessible from anywhere in the world. “Without the proper language skills, performing quality control and partaking in social and environmental aspects of my job were difficult at best. I never would have been promoted beyond my entry-level position in China had I not learned the native language,” stated McMunn, who was only 29 when he became GM of China Operations at his company. With plans to add new languages to the blackboard including Russian, Japanese, and Arabic, McMunn has already more than cut the learning curve in half for those looking to advance their language skills and cultural knowledge of China and Brazil, two of the world’s fastest growing economies. https://www.facebook.com/briclanguagesystems/ Summary In this episode Stephen Dela Cruz interviews Ryan McMunn, funder of Briclanguage. Ryan started out stocking shelves from 2002-2004, when suddenly his company was expanding to china. He was the young experienced professional they want to manage the two new offices. Being twenty-five and unattached he gladly jumped on the chance to move to china. For three years he tried to learn Mandarin, but nothing worked for him. Soon his girlfriend at the time introduced him to Casey Wong, who successfully taught him Mandarin. After finally learning the language within a year he was making multimillion-dollar deals fully in Mandarin. Aside from his professional life skyrocketing his personal relationships in china also started to improve. When it came time for Ryan to move back to New York, Casey approached him wanting to use her methods to build an online language school. Even though Ryan already had many responsibilities, he agreed. McMunn wanted the school to be more then one language, and wanted to do the company right from the begging. It wasn’t all easy sailing for Briclanguage though; Ryan really didn’t have to much online marketing skills in the begging, despite bragging about his marketing skills in china. Around six month they still only had a single student, depressed and embarrassed, Ryan didn’t give up. Some advice for new business owners is to always do background checks or at the very least Google the people you employ, a lesson McMunn learned the hard way. Today Briclanguage is working with the Chinese government to bring English teachers to overseas, and starting the processes of adding Russian, Japanese, and Arabic to hos curriculum. The number one piece of advice Ryan McMunn gives is keep up with networking. Although it’s no ones favorite, Ryan says he has made more deals through networking then any other method. Remember to always take the others business card don’t just give yours, and remember you will either impress someone, or never see them again.
In this episode Stephen Dela Cruz interviews Pam Covarrubias, founder of spread ideas, move people. Having an entrepreneurial spirit from a young age, moving away from the corporate world was a natural change for her. Although scared Pam decided to follow her passion through her podcast series. Pam has been recruited multiple times by companies, and still has decided to stick with her passion. Though friends and family want her to take the jobs, this is something Pam has decided to do for herself, and others. Originally Pam started this series to tell her own story, but she has ended up sharing other peoples stories more often. In the future she plans to focus more on her own story, and her t-shirt line. With every story Pam learns something new and exciting. Her clothing line plays off the fact that she grew up bi-lingual, and how often bi-lingual people think and speak in both languages. Her best advice to those looking to leave corporate America is, take a breath, have a plan, and don’t give up. Being an entrepreneur, is all about finding what is needed, and finding a way to make happen. Key Points -Don’t give up -follow your passion -don’t be afraid to move laterally -follow your passion -learn from your experiences
In this episode, Stephen Dela Cruz talk about the importance of personal branding and how to create a personal brand. Send your questions to success@stegela.com What is a personal brand, and how does it help your business grow? Today Stephen talks about how to build a personal brand that works for you. When building a personal brand think beyond just a logo, your brand should invoke some emotion to anyone that sees it. Try to think of what emotion you want people to feel when they think of your brand, what smells do you want people to remind them of your brand, what sights, what tastes? Think back to a bad experience you had at a business, even if that company employs thousands of people, do you associate that company with the employee that gave you bad service? When you have a personal brand it helps people know, like, and trust you, which will help your endorsement, go a longer way. People buy for three reasons, price, the product, and the person selling or endorsing it. Imagine if you have a inferior product, and a decent price, this is where having a personal brand comes into play. If the costumer feels like they know like and trust you they will be more likely to buy that product from you. How do you plan on building your personal brand? Most people think of social media i.e. Facebook, twitter, or even a blog. Some people don’t think of podcasts, or think they think podcasts don’t fit them. Podcasts are huge tool for you to use to build your personal brand, because you are talking to the audience directly. This gives people the feeling that they are getting to know you. This is so important because when people feel like they know you they start to trust you and your company more. People are more likely to listen to podcast then to sit down in front of a computer and watch videos. What is attraction marketing? When you are marketing is all about trying to attract people to your business, sometimes this can go wrong. Examples of not attracting people to your business would be spam marketing. When you are constantly trying to reach out to people it can annoy people. Now when people think of your brand they think of how irritated they get when you are trying to reach out to them. The most important thing to think about when building a personal brand is making connections, invoking feeling, and how you want your brand to be received.
