Full Text of ReadingsTuesday of the Third Week of Advent Lectionary: 193The Saint of the day is Saint Hildegard of BingenSaint Hildegard of Bingen's Story Abbess, artist, author, composer, mystic, pharmacist, poet, preacher, theologian—where to begin in describing this remarkable woman? Born into a noble family, she was instructed for ten years by the holy woman Blessed Jutta. When Hildegard was 18, she became a Benedictine nun at the Monastery of Saint Disibodenberg. Ordered by her confessor to write down the visions that she had received since the age of three, Hildegard took ten years to write her Scivias (Know the Ways). Pope Eugene III read it, and in 1147, encouraged her to continue writing. Her Book of the Merits of Life and Book of Divine Works followed. She wrote over 300 letters to people who sought her advice; she also composed short works on medicine and physiology, and sought advice from contemporaries such as Saint Bernard of Clairvaux. Hildegard's visions caused her to see humans as “living sparks” of God's love, coming from God as daylight comes from the sun. Sin destroyed the original harmony of creation; Christ's redeeming death and resurrection opened up new possibilities. Virtuous living reduces the estrangement from God and others that sin causes. Like all mystics, Hildegard saw the harmony of God's creation and the place of women and men in that. This unity was not apparent to many of her contemporaries. Hildegard was no stranger to controversy. The monks near her original foundation protested vigorously when she moved her monastery to Bingen, overlooking the Rhine River. She confronted Emperor Frederick Barbarossa for supporting at least three antipopes. Hildegard challenged the Cathars, who rejected the Catholic Church claiming to follow a more pure Christianity. Between 1152 and 1162, Hildegard often preached in the Rhineland. Her monastery was placed under interdict because she had permitted the burial of a young man who had been excommunicated. She insisted that he had been reconciled with the Church and had received its sacraments before dying. Hildegard protested bitterly when the local bishop forbade the celebration of or reception of the Eucharist at the Bingen monastery, a sanction that was lifted only a few months before her death. In 2012, Hildegard was canonized and named a Doctor of the Church by Pope Benedict XVI. Her liturgical feast is celebrated on September 17. Reflection Pope Benedict spoke about Hildegard of Bingen during two of his general audiences in September 2010. He praised the humility with which she received God's gifts, and the obedience she gave Church authorities. He praised too the “rich theological content” of her mystical visions that sum up the history of salvation from creation to the end of time. During his papacy, Pope Benedict XVI said, “Let us always invoke the Holy Spirit, so that he may inspire in the Church holy and courageous women like Saint Hildegard of Bingen who, developing the gifts they have received from God, make their own special and valuable contribution to the spiritual development of our communities and of the Church in our time.” Click here for more on Saint Hildegard of Bingen! Erica worked along side her father as a content creator for the business. This episode of “Channeling in The Now” from the “Welcome to Channeling” podcast features an array of channelers sharing wisdom from various interdimensional and multidimensional beings. Gwen Juvenal, the host, introduces the guests, each bringing unique messages from the entities they channel, offering guidance and perspectives on love, tolerance, compassion, personal growth, and joy.1. Maureen Kelly Channeling EdwardMaureen Kelly, from Washington, channels Edward, an Arcturian teacher who is dedicated to educating others about interdimensional beings. Edward's primary message in this episode revolves around tolerance. He emphasizes the importance of being open to the presence of other beings, both seen and unseen, who share the Earth. These beings, including various extraterrestrials, are here to help and teach humanity, and their main focus is spreading love. Edward advises that learning to tolerate others starts with self-reflection—examining how one's behavior influences relationships and contributes to the greater collective. The key takeaway is to foster tolerance and love, acknowledging that others, too, are extending the same courtesy toward us.Contact Maureen Kelly Here:https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1000890298232762. Cat Gollata on Second Mountain EthosCat Gollata shares insights from her personal journey, focusing on the concept of the Second Mountain Ethos. This ethos shifts the typical self-love narrative, suggesting that loving others can be a path to discovering self-love. Cat recounts a personal experience where a conflict with her partner triggered emotional responses that they both had to navigate. Through this, she realized that growth comes from being challenged by others rather than remaining stagnant. She applies the ethos to broader human relationships and the creation of a new world based on authenticity and personal values. A significant part of her message involves recognizing that abundance, specifically financial abundance, is often a trigger for many, and the solution lies in changing one's perspective. She encourages accepting and loving all parts of the external world as reflections of internal beliefs.FAQ with registration link: NeuroArt with Cat FAQ Just registration: https://forms.gle/AyDNN33UfygjuG61A Session booking link! https://calendly.com/xpandedxpression...3. Kate Woodley Channeling the Council of the Guardians of the LightKate Woodley channels the Council of the Guardians of the Light, who present a profound message on compassion. This collective of light beings reminds listeners of humanity's inherent capacity for compassion, which is essential for expanding consciousness. They explain that compassion isn't about condoning harmful actions but understanding that those who cause harm are often driven by fear and are disconnected from universal love. By projecting compassion, individuals can help transmute negative energies and elevate the cosmic web—the interconnected energetic field that links all beings. The Guardians emphasize that every action, thought, and emotion reverberates throughout this web, affecting not just the individual but the entire collective. Their message is one of empowerment, urging listeners to choose compassion and love to uplift themselves and the world around them.Find Kate Here:https://ascensioncalling.com/4. Gwen Juvenal Channeling the Warriors of Light through the DragonsGwen Juvenal channels the Warriors of Light through the Dragons, who deliver a simple yet powerful message: "Breathe." They stress that breath is a key tool for transformation, helping individuals let go of limiting beliefs and emotions that no longer serve them. The Warriors of Light encourage listeners to use their breath to gain new insights, sensations, and experiences that will bring them closer to their true selves. By breathing deeply and broadly, individuals can access higher aspects of their being and navigate through challenging emotions with greater ease. The message is a reminder that breath is an alchemical force that can lead to profound self-awareness and trust in the journey.Contact Gwen Here:Linktr.ee/gwenjuvenal5. Claudia Milligan Channeling SHEClaudia Milligan channels an entity known as SHE, who speaks about the importance of understanding life's lessons, particularly those related to love and loss. SHE explains that life offers countless opportunities to learn and evolve, both in the physical and spiritual realms. Loss, SHE teaches, is often where the greatest gains can be found, as it challenges individuals to grow and become more compassionate and wise. The message is personal for Claudia, as SHE addresses Claudia's own experiences with loss and the role it has played in shaping her. SHE emphasizes that all experiences, even those that seem negative, carry gifts and lessons for personal growth.Contact Claudia Here: https://www.hello-from-home.com/6. Denise Benning Channeling from Her Book "Intimacy of Light"Denise Benning, also known as Archana D, shares a channeling from her new book, Intimacy of Light, which she co-created with her divine master guide Jeremiah. The book explores multidimensionality and divine love, and the channeling she shares is an activation of joy. Denise's message is one of courage, urging people to step into new opportunities and perspectives that lead to joy. Episode 111: Alexandra Dotcheva & Her Book, It Really Is Simple: A Holistic Approach to Self-Confidence -- A Practical Guide ABOUT ALEXANDRA Born into a musicians' family in Bulgaria, Alexandra came to the United States as a graduate student in 2000 and earned a Doctor of Musical Arts in Violin Performance from Louisiana State University in 2007. In 2008, prompted by the financial crisis, she decided to pursue a career in nursing and has been practicing as an RN since 2011, with a strong passion for educating patients on acquiring optimal health. Her experience includes ICU, orthopedic trauma, and home care. In 2014, she began her investing career with a focus on rental real estate and, later on, options trading. She is the owner of three real estate businesses and a holistic coaching business. Alexandra's passion for health, martial arts, fitness, and financial independence, as well as her experience with the challenges of cultural integration prompted her to write the book, It Really Is Simple: A Holistic Approach to Self- Confidence, in which she shares her path to success in an effort to motivate readers to embrace change and pursue their dreams, in spite of fear and insecurity. CONVERSATION HIGHLIGHTS "20 years of very poor self-confidence and self-esteem with never believing you would ever be able to accomplish even a fraction of what it is today." Becoming comfortable with being uncomfortable. Whether talking about health, career, or finances, moving forward is all about mindset. Fixating on one area of focus as "the problem," when it's really something completely different. Doing the one major thing that seems impossible, and the possibilities it can open up going forward. "...be very careful who you listen to because the influences in your life, they're very well-intentioned, but oftentimes they're wrong." What Black Belt Mentality means. Awakening the child in yourself in order to succeed. What it means to face yourself. Writing in your authentic, true voice. Burning certain bridges in order to prosper. Accomplishing dreams by breaking them down into smaller goals. How fear and anxiety work for you as friends and allies. The MAIN QUESTION underlying my conversation with Alexandra is, Are you taking proactive steps to freedom by overcoming your insecurities and lack of confidence? In this episode, Emilia Benton focuses on how she discovered the approach to marathoning that earned her a Boston Marathon qualifying time, and then how it all went down at last year's Boston Marathon. Benton is a well recognized journalist in the running world, with a particular focus on professional runners as well as runners and stories that have typically been underrepresented and overlooked by the media. As a runner, a big focus of Benton's has been marathons. She has run over a dozen of them, and for about a decade, her efforts focused on what many ambitious marathoners focus on: getting a Boston qualifying time, and then running the Boston Marathon. Over the course of her marathon journey, Benton has become astutely aware of her own needs as a runner, and that not all conventional marathoning wisdom met her needs. She's been through a lot of trial and error, and she's found what does work for her, and she's learned how to trust that knowledge. Benton also found a coach who backed her approach. And that coach is Nell Rojas. Rojas is both a coach and she is also one of America's very best marathoners: among her many accolades, Rojas has twice been the top American finisher at the Boston Marathon. Working with Rojas, Benton raced a terrific 2022 Houston Marathon to earn her BQ, and run at Boston the next year. Benton shares it all in this episode, and more! What shines bright here is that what works for one person in marathoning may not work for another. Every runner needs to discover their own path, which is exactly what Benton did.
