This weeks case is covering the most talked about Serial Killer in History. Today marks the anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic in the early morning hours of 15 April 1912 in the North Atlantic Ocean. Tony McMahon, a former member and former Mayor of Shannon Town Council was brought up 500 meters from Mary Agatha Glynn, a Clare Woman who survived the Titanic sinking. Paddy Mc Mahon, Tony's Brother, was a frequent visitor to the old Glynn's homestead where Mary Agatha's brother Billy lived until the mid 1950's. On Monday's Morning Focus, Tony and Paddy joined Alan Morrissey in studio to tell her story.

I really enjoyed chatting to Matthew about the elusive ‘draíocht' or magic, the feeling that goes into music, and the otherworldly places that it can take you. There aren't all that many notes in this tune.  I sometimes think that makes it a bit tricky but most of the time I'm not thinking about anything at all. It can be found on Noel Hill and Tony McMahon's i gCnoc na Graí record.  They seem to have been able to work it out OK.

A great reel.  I don't know it's usually played single or double.  I remembering it being on an LP of Noel Hill and Tony McMahon with a bit of galloping  in the background.
