The lightning had thrown the man's face into sharp relief, and it was a face unlike any Harry had ever seen. It looked as though it had been carved out of weathered wood by someone who had only the vaguest idea of what human faces are supposed to look like, and was none too skilled with a chisel. Every inch of skin seemed to be scarred. The mouth looked like a diagonal gash, and a large chunk of the nose was missing. But it was the man's eyes that made him frightening. One of them was small, dark, and beady. The other was large, round as a coin, and a vivid, electric blue. The blue eye was moving ceaselessly, without blinking, and was rolling up, down, and from side to side, quite independently of the normal eye - and then it rolled right over, pointing into the back of the man's head, so that all they could see was whiteness.Q5 - Is this her best description of someone that she's given so far?“It is my pleasure to inform you that the Triwizard tournament will be taking place at Hogwarts this year.” “You're joking!” said Fred Weasley loudly. In this episode, we break down the character of Cornelius Fudge. Enjoy!Topics/Summary:·     2:06 Who is Cornelius Fudge? From the page on Fandom, we can deduce that he is either half-blood or pure-blood, he either Irish or British, and he is married. Most importantly, he was named most stylish wizard of the year in 1995. We don't know that much about him, but the most important trait of his character is the fact that he was the Minister of Magic from 1990 – 96.·      4:56 What role does he play in the story? This isn't a strait forward answer because it changes. In the second book, he arrests Hagrid knowing he was innocent which isn't really a good start. However, in the third book he was a nice guy and helped Harry out. In the fourth book, the Triwizard tournament was a factor that was unforeseen, and Fudge was worried that Harry was going to die. The fifth book was the time when he really became nasty. He didn't believe that Voldemort was back and was stopping Dumbledore and Harry from fighting back. He really didn't do much after that. ·      13:16 What are his strengths? First, he knows how to handle being in the public eye. He has learned how to play the media. He is also a smart guy and he got the Minister position for a reason. Finally, he is empathetic, though it might not come through so well.·      15:42 What are his weaknesses? The major one is he lets fear control him. He was too focused on making sure the population wouldn't believe Dumbledore and Harry, and he was too caught up in the fear that Voldemort might return to see the truth: that he already had.·      17:56 Was Fudge a positive or negative force? Throughout the years, he was swinging back and forth between positive and negative. Overall, however, he was a negative. He made Voldemort's life so much easier by putting the Ministry between Dumbledore and his plans. ·      24:10 What could he have done better? First, he should have trusted Dumbledore. Dumbledore was the person who knew the most and had all the answers, and Fudge refused to reach out. Image if Dumbledore had access to the power of the Ministry. Welcome to Harry Potter Theory. Today, we're discussing the Triwizard tournament and its RICH History. The Triwizard Tournament was one of the deadliest competitions in the entire wizarding world. With a death toll that rivals the professional dueling arenas in Eastern Europe, the Triwizard Tournament was actually pretty barbaric.  It's baffling why Hogwarts, and its fellow schools, kept it going for so many centuries. But what made it so dangerous?  And how did it get started in the first place?

Hey Yall! There is a reason the wizarding world has not had a TriWizard tournament since 1792. Put aside the fact that CHILDREN are competing in this high-stakes tournament (all for the sake of glory and fame) while they collectively lose their minds with a dragon only meters away that could wipe them out with one well-timed tail whip, contestants have died. Repeatedly. I'm sorry, but what is the point of letting some sentient goblet decide which names thrown into its fire are the best of the best of the magical world, only to have them die, and their talent with them? 10/10 believe the goblet likes trolling the wizarding world. Forget artificial intelligence in the muggle world; bewitched inanimate objects are far worse.Poor Cedric Diggory. Everything went downhill for him as soon as he was chosen. A good person and wizard, playing fair and wanting the charade of child endangerment to end in a tie for Hogwarts, and what does he get? Killed. That's what he gets. And, unfortunately, later turned into a sparkly vampire with extremely toxic behavioral traits. Let's not forget that MadEye Moody was an imposter the entire time. However, I will say that for someone who wanted to defeat the good in the world for his master, Barty Crouch Junior was a great teacher. He didn't have to be that hands-on and forceful with the students to hammer home what evils are out in the world and how to combat them, but he did. Nor did he have to become a mentor-like figure to Neville. But I digress. Tune in and enjoy the show as we close out our fourth year at Hogwarts!
