Parents, do you understand that seeing your kids come to Jesus is not just about belief, repentance, forgiveness, and eternal life? Something else has to happen after our kids accept Christ as their Savior. Salvation is not just about justification, but about a lifetime of sanctification. We become followers of Jesus who integrate the Christian faith and kingdom of God into all of life. Theologian David Wells describes it this way: “True conversion is not an isolated experience but one that is related to a life of discipleship. Discipleship belongs to and should follow from conversion the way that natural life belongs to and should follow from live birth. And just as there is no discipleship without conversion, so there is not conversion with an ensuing life of discipleship that involves growth in moral maturity, a deepening faith, and loving service.” The goal of our parenting should be to nurture our kids into a compelling faith that transforms every area of their lives.

Jesus Christ made it very clear that a person needed to be born again to have a relationship with God. We all had a physical birth, but we need a spiritual birth to enter into the realm of heaven where God is. The most famous conversation in the Bible about the new birth is the talk that Jesus had with a teacher of the Jews, Nicodemus. Jesus said, “You must be born again.” This week's message takes up three basic and vital elements in any true conversion story – that is, for a person who has been born again.

When we become a true born-again Christian everything in our life should begin to change. We see this from a man named Saul. Saul was a very religious Jewish Pharisee. He hated Jesus' followers but one day he had an encounter with the risen Jesus and everything changed. He went from Saul the Jesus hater to the Apostle Paul the Jesus lover.

They who condemn high affections in others, are certainly not likely to have high affections themselves. And let it be considered, that they who have but little religious affection, have certainly but little religion. And they who condemn others for their religious affections, and have none themselves, have no religion.
By Kevin Call - Today as we begin, we will concentrate on the Parable of the Sower. Do we understand? Is it limited? The importance to understanding wisdom is the principal thing. We can't lose our focus. We must remain focused until the very end.
Hung beside Jesus, a condemned thief experienced a moment that changed his eternity. In Luke 23, we witness the elements of true conversion—repentance, faith, and regeneration—unfolding in real time. This message examines how salvation begins with God's grace, moves through our response, and results in a supernatural transformation. The thief was changed. Have you been?

Zacchaeus, a story of salvation. The life of Zacchaeus displays the evidence of a truly converted heart. Why is it so important to understand that conversion is more than just stopping a sinful pattern. When Zacchaeus heart is changed, his mind is made new and he’s no longer driven by a heart of greed. He now works hard in order that he… The post The Evidence of True Conversion, Part 2 | Jesus Seeks Lost Sinners appeared first on Pillar of Truth Radio.
Is anyone beyond the reach of God's amazing forgiveness. An application of our message today would be to honestly ask ourselves if there are people in our lives that we might think are simply unforgivable, or maybe someone who we don't think deserves the offer of salvation. The Bible says “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Jesus… The post The Evidence of True Conversion, Part 1 | Jesus Seeks Lost Sinners appeared first on Pillar of Truth Radio.
We can see the salvation of Jesus Christ in the conversion of His people.
"The subject of this work suggested itself to the author's mind during a visit to the metropolis. His close communion, at that time, with what is called the 'religious world,' forced upon his mind the painful conviction, that while religious profession was greatly on the increase- and never more so in the higher classes of society than at the present- vital godliness was in proportion on the decline; that while- to speak commercially- the quantity of religion was increasing, its quality was deteriorating. The vast number whose Christian profession was avowed- whose religious character was recognized- whose theological creed was sound- whose conversation was pious- whose sacred observances were rigid- whose benevolence was applauded- whose zeal was admired- who prided themselves upon their eloquent preacher, and their favorite religious author; but who yet were living in the world, and living as the world, and living to the world- deeply and painfully saddened him. The question frequently arose in his mind- "Where is the salt?

The Lord Jesus Christ knew well; he knew how desperately wicked and deceitful men's hearts were; he knew very well how many would go to hell even by the very gates of heaven, how many would climb up even to the door, and go so near as to knock at it, and yet after all be dismissed with a "verily I know you not." The Lord, therefore, plainly tells us, what great change must be wrought in us,
