Kim Anthony had talent but did not have the ‘look' of a typical gymnast in the 1980s – she was African-American, too tall, and came from a poor family. But by the time she got to college, she had already overcome incredible odds: almost aborted; a drug-addicted father; a struggling single mom. When her gymnastic victories left her feeling hollow, Kim sought a deeper meaning for her life, and found it through Jesus Christ. She concludes her message by encouraging her audience of high-school students to esteem themselves as sons and daughters of the King and embrace sexual purity before marriage.   Receive the book Unfavorable Odds: and the audio download of the broadcast "Catapulting Over a Painful Past." for your donation of any amount! This is Dr. Deniz, "The Wellness Doc" bringing you everything healthy for your mind, body, and soul. Uncle Pauly, the most requested guest host, stopped by once again for the 22nd episode of my new podcast, We wanted start the new year 2021 with a bang. "Comprehensive Health & Wellness " found on most hosting platforms. In today's episode, we discussed 3 medical miracles witnessed here on earth. The first medical miracle involved "Linda" who was a seasoned RN who had a long history of high blood pressure and suffered a devastating stroke which left her completely debilitated on the right side of her body from head head to her toes including her speech and vision. In 3 weeks, she demonstrated a complete recovery and walked out of the facility without help or an assistance device. The second medical miracle involved "Tony" who was an L.A. Sheriff and had a congenital defect in one of the blood vessels in his brain which led to a stroke at 40 years of age. He also displayed a complete recovery in 3 weeks and was able to go back to work with full duty status. The third medical miracle occurred with "Ms. Vinegar" who suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury coupled with multiple fractures in her neck proceeding a fall head first into a wall. She had received a year of rehab with minimal results and was still in a wheelchair and was not able to walk. In 3-4 weeks, she was ambulatory with a cane independently for distances that she would encounter during her activities of daily living. Soon after, she regained a large percentage of her functional abilities and was able to perform them safely without an incidence of falling. Seven years later, she is thriving. As always, we are here to provide.Hope, Encouragement, Support, and Specialized Knowledge so that you can optimize your performance in your lives. God bless. Clementine Bahiga's infectious laugh and positive outlook are not what you expect from someone with her past. Life was good growing up in Rwanda, until, at age 8, genocide forced her family to flee their home. She survived a violent attack and a disease-ridden refugee camp before getting the chance to move to the U.S. with her family. Even after arriving in the U.S., her troubles didn't end. She was bullied in school, and a devastating miscarriage later in life was followed by suicidal thoughts. But she wrestled with God and found hope. Moments after Daniel Ritchie was born without arms and with difficulty breathing, the doctor asked his father, "Do you want us to let him go?" Thankfully Daniel's father said no. His childhood would be similar to any other boy's, except he had to figure out how to do everything with his feet-from playing with toy cars to eating. The innocence of childhood would give way to cynicism in his teen years as Daniel realized his life was much different than everybody else's. Being different invited the cruelty of others-stares, rude comments, and being kicked out of restaurants-which lead to bitterness, resentment, and loneliness. But when Daniel trusted in Jesus, he found a new identity, a calling to serve others, and a joy in the Lord that transcends circumstances.
