What if ordinary people could perform extraordinary acts of faith? Join us as we recount the mission of the 72 individuals sent out by Jesus in Luke 10, watching them return full of joy and awe that even demons obeyed them in Jesus' name. We celebrate their achievements but also explore Jesus' deeper message: the ultimate joy of salvation. This episode is packed with insights, comparing Jesus' instructions to the 72 with those given to the 12 apostles, and how those principles of faith, reliance on God, and mission focus resonate with us today.Evangelism isn't just for the experts—it's a calling for everyone. We delve into the pressing issue of the shortage of laborers in the field of evangelism, emphasizing that the problem isn't a lack of potential converts but a scarcity of committed individuals ready to step up. Through inspiring anecdotes, we challenge the notion that only the highly trained can share the gospel effectively. We encourage you to embrace your calling, join evangelism classes, and prepare yourself for the spiritual harvest waiting to be gathered.Lastly, we'll reflect on the 'woes' pronounced by Jesus on the cities of Chorazin, Bethsaida, and Capernaum, and the enduring consequences they faced for not heeding His message. Using Google Earth, we visually compare their ancient ruins to their past significance, underscoring the lasting impact of Jesus' words. We then turn to the joy of salvation and humility, emphasizing how childlike faith reveals divine truths. Together, we'll celebrate the hope found in the gospel message, reminding every believer that in God's eyes, there are no junior varsity Christians.

It has up-to-date satellite imagery showing street views, space views, oceans, topography, global temperatures, wind speed, precipitation, and so much more.  WHY? Immerses students in the learning experiences.  Provides connections to the real world. Promotes inquiry-based lessons and learning. Data can be visualized in new and more engaging ways Critical Thinking Creative Communicators If you are just getting started here are some quick ways to get your students comfortable with using Google Earth. We will have tons of resources on our blog so be sure to visit somethintoteachbaout.com to check those out! One of the easiest but effective activities to do with your students is to navigate and explore the wonders of Google Earth together. This would be a great introduction for demonstrating some of the features of Google Earth and would work to pull your students into a remote lesson! If you click on the person icon in the bottom right-hand side of Google Earth, your students will get the ‘street view’. Demonstrate how they can explore a particular destination from the street view and get up close and personal with the view. Some locations even allow you to enter the buildings! Ted has been travelling for a few years now from home using Google Earth because he has two small children and he and his wife cannot travel with them in the same way they traveled before - with backpacking and road trips. Ted also tells us his travel history and his days as a tour guide in Alberta's Rocky Mountains, a few hours down the highway from us in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; which gave him the idea to potentially turn his Google Earth travelling hobby into virtual guided tours. WHAT A presentation that reveals how the barriers erected to prevent suicides reflect conflicting requirements dictated by mental health, government policy and public opinion. WHY Barriers and nets are increasingly installed on high bridges in an effort to prevent suicides. As physical manifestations of the line between public life and private crisis, they are tools used to tackle a problem, while the public demands that they be invisible. HOW Kirsten Geekie compiled statistics — dates, materials, heights, fatalities, and so on — about 30 sites and presented them as infographics. Using Google Earth, she created a video that captures the mundane reality of the bridges, an effect enhanced by digital speakers that convey sounds recorded on the bridges. The Atacama Desert is unique and very hostile. It's considered the driest desert in the world with dramatic landscape with some parts of the region that has never received a drop of rain, or at least not as long as people have been keeping track of such things.Nuevo Albergis is the name given to the city that was discovered by Ms. Holly Ahlberg (Nov, 2012) in the Atacama Desert, that to date has not been explored by a significant archaeological team. A number of pilots and explorers have discovered geoglphs in the area, most noteably the giant  large anthropomorphic geoglyph known as Cerro Unitas. What Holly discover is amazing. Using Google Earth satellite imagery she found a city which appears to have been built in several phases separated by different flood events, and/or over a period of time. The presence of numerous 'canals' leading to the structures highlights the possibility that it was built where it was because of the availability of water running from the now dried up Salar Uyuny salt flats (Once a freshwater lake and over 80 miles away). These imagess only show the smallest fraction of what can be seen to have once been a vast complex extending out in the flood plain for several miles, consisting primarily of (several) thousands of similar plots, tightly grouped and laid out in neat grid formations. It is clear that whoever built these structures, they were well organised and the complex must have been of great significance when it was in operation. This is a significant find, and one that may reveal an ancient people.

Students took a picture using their device of anything that was science related in their yard, neighborhood or town. Using the location, a QR gps code was generated. Students researched to find out more about the science in their photo. The picture and GPS code was placed in the Educreations app. A screencast was completed to teach others about the science found in our sweet town, Hershey! Each screencast was tagged by its location on a Google map, building a visual and interactive educational product, sharing the science found all around our town. We also embedded the screencasts in the LayAR, augmented reality app to try yet another new technology. Future Vision-Work like this has the power to be shared further to make global connections. By sharing our special town map/s with other classes who might like to connect and learn together about each others work, has great learning potential!

I am an Archeo-astronomer by avocation. In August 2012, after five years of intensive research and investigation, I discovered, what I have labeled, 'The Shadow Phenomenon on the Face of the Sphinx'. Due to the light of the sun and the shadows it creates on the Sphinx as altitude and azimuth increase on Summer Solstice Day, the longest day of the year, June 21st something exta-orodinary happens! Using Google Earth and time lapse photography the Sphinx smiles because of its Geo-mathematical placement on the Earth. This phenomenon is the first 'light show'. The Ancients 'programmed' the Sphinx to smile, as the Sphinx is a Titanic Sundial. The 'smile' of the Sphinx is an 'Ancient Animation', programmed by the Ancients. The Ancients of 10,500 years ago were advanced 'organic astronomical programmers'! The Sphinx smiles at 10:17 am, but as all animators can attest to, 'the smile is a frame by frame process of time'. This Archeo-astronomical find is amazing! Please communicate your reactions. Thank you, April Vihilidal
