Is being non partisan possible? What about being independent when it comes to politics and government? What is non- partisan? What does an independent stand for?Where can we find a list of their beliefs, their platform, their values? It's hard to determine, but they will be steadfast and resolute in their non-partisanship and in their being an independent. An article written by Pew Research attempts to answer this question: "Political Independents: Who They Are, What They Think".Most ‘lean' toward a party; ‘true' independents tend to avoid politicsSo these middle independents , these non-partisan people aren't really all that neutral in their beliefs and politics, they lean left or right, but they may be avoiding politics because of the personalities on each side…not wanting to identify with Trump on the right or Biden on the left. It's difficult to have a functioning free country with this middle when we need standards and values and a Constitutional basis for running a country for those who want to govern. Election cycles & the “non-partisans”: This “middle” has plagued campaign strategists and political consultants for years, and in every election campaign, and I have been intimately involved with 9 of them over 18 years, and I know that most campaign dollars and effort are spent to get the attention of this middle, these “non-partisan” people, the undecideds, those who call themselves independent, those in the middle who's vote is coveted and decides elections. Judges: When judges are supposed to be non-partisan, ideally it means that they are asked to put aside their own personal judgements and opinions, and decide a case based solely on the merits and facts of the situation, using the law and the Constitution to do so.Thanks to covid, and the horrible response of our state & federal government to it, many people now have woken up to the fact that who is governor matters, and how our government is supposed to function matters. It has shoved these people out of the mushy middle, and taken away their ability to avoid these topics and these subjects. These dupes in the middle are the ignorant “non partisan” being used by whoever is in power to control the country . And these dupes, the non-partisans, the independent, the non-committal, have been used by the left and the progressives to unravel and undermine the Constitution, and America, for a century. In the book “Dupes. How America's Adversaries Have Manipulated Progressives for a Century ”, by New York Times bestselling author Paul Kengor, discusses these dupes and how America's adversaries around the world have manipulated the progressives, whom he calls dupes, for a century. FBI & Soviet archives document this. Today, After Covid:The squishy middle just got smaller, as more and more people now have a political opinion of who is in office. Many have discovered that being involved is the only way to change it for the better. It matters who holds these positions in our government that the founders so beautifully set up for a free and moral people. We need to make sure that those who hold these offices are for the values of freedom and liberty, and do not use and abuse these powers. There is no such thing as living in a non-partisan, non-committal, independently unattached from any moorings or anchors or principles that ground us as individuals, families, or a nation. We all need to take a stand for liberty. https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2019/03/14/political-independents-who-they-are-what-they-think/Please email me with your thoughts: Podcast@TheTangledAngle.com

Tune in as Shirl and Natty give you a behind the scenes look at what caping, masking and hiding looks like for them, how it all started, the NUMBER ONE thing the cape is costing them and how they're learning to ditch the cape piece by piece, layer by layer. This episode also takes a look at: How the superwoman cape often forces us to "edit" ourselves and shrink back for the benefit of others. Why/how we started caping and how we're drowning in the "debt" of it all. The different coping mechanisms we use when caping, masking and hiding. How superwoman is NOT a lifestyle but one big ball of emotional and mental drudgery. How the superwoman lifestyle is somewhat comparable to the Stepford wife lifestyle. Healing the little Black girl behind the Black superwoman by redefining our super powers. As you can see, there's A LOT of pouring it out happening in this episode and there's so much more to come, so kick your shoes off. Get comfortable. Stay a while. It's time to heal the little Black girl behind the strong Black woman. The life you long for, the deep connections you desire are buried inside the little Black girl behind the Strong Black woman. The little Black girl who was conditioned to never cry, ask for help or need anyone, the little Black girl who was taught to mimic happiness even when her heart was breaking, the little Black girl who was led to believe that it’s better to be seen and not heard. Aren’t you ready to reacquaint yourself with her? You don't have to morph into somebody else's version of the Strong Black Woman. You don't have to be the fixer like Olivia Pope, slay giants like Cookie Lyon, be the Queen in the conference room like Mary Jane OR save EVERYBODY like Annalise Keating. Join Shirl in this episode as she talks about: Her personal journey of uncaping, unmasking and unhiding by way of a very vulnerable journal entry Uncaping, Unmasking, Unhiding, Unlearning and Relearning How the Superwoman lifestyle/mindset was birthed in childhood How network television has gone from one extreme (the mammy, the Jezebel, the sapphire) to the next (the self-sacrificing Strong Black Woman), thereby perpetuating the idea that the Strong Black Woman has to sacrifice herself to be ALL THE THINGS to ALL THE PEOPLE. In this episode we're talking all things code with Clive Thompson, journalist for Wired and the New York Times Magazine, and now author of Coders: Who They Are, What They Think and How They Are Changing Our World. We discuss whether coders are the most powerful people on the planet, what their personalities can tell us about the culture in companies like Twitter, and whether we're headed for a battle between the ultimately rational world of algorithms, and the uniquely emotional world of humans...
