In this episode, I talk about the potential negative effects of artificial intelligence. Which is kind of weird because I am asking AI to tell me how AI can be used as a tool for our enslavement. And its answers are terrifying. Now I will say proceed with caution because this series is turning into a true red pill moment. Canada now has a former banker, never elected to any political post in his life, in the most important seat of the country. He has miraculously resuscitated the Liberals, capitalizing on the fears raised by Trump's threats. But while Carney may fight against Trump, the question remains: In whose interests? In this week's episode of the Revolutionary Communist Podcast, RCP activists Joel Bergman & Marco LaGrotta provide a Communist perspective on what is happening. If you liked this episode of the podcast, be sure to check out our latest article on marxist.ca - Ruling class places its bets on Mark Carney
The rich have not been so powerful and mind-bogglingly wealthy since the Gilded Age of the late 19th century. Yet their grip on society has often been shrouded in a veil of adulation, enabled by a media that celebrates them rather than holding them to account. Economist Rob Larson discusses the multimillionaire and billionaire class, how they rule, and how to fight against them. (Full-length presentation.) Today I'm joined by Teddy Pierce, author of Dethrone Davos: Save America, to discuss the shocking waste, fraud, and abuse that the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has been uncovering. From reckless spending to blatant money laundering, we're breaking down how our government has been misusing our hard-earned tax dollars—and why this corruption must be stopped. Transparency and accountability aren't just buzzwords; they're essential for restoring actual integrity to our system. Tune in as we expose what's really going on behind the scenes and why this fight matters for all of us.—Buy Teddy's book, Dethrone Davos: https://www.amazon.com/Dethrone-Davos-America-Theodore-Pierce-ebook/dp/B0D5NKGGNC—https://www.thebrandsunday.com/collections/all
Trump's people are reshaping the US political system, gutting institutions, while selling scores with all enemies foreign and domestic. But is their push for mass deportations, and the abolition of DEI, the Department of Education, USAID and other soft power institutions really in the ruling class's long term interests. Are we witnessing the collapse of an empire, or simply a reactionary reconfiguration of power? And how should those of us who oppose U.S. imperialism make sense of these contradictions? To break it all down, Rania Khalek is joined by Breakthrough News editor-in-chief Ben Becker.Watch the full episode by becoming a patron: Patreon.com/BreakthroughNews

In the fifteenth episode of Season 11: The Son of Cult Flicks, Kyle is joined by screenwriter August Gummere and podcaster Lee Charles from Spro & Lee Take on the Academy to discuss the irreverent and dark satire on the absurd notion of assumed ruling class divinity, power, and wisdom filtered through the schizophrenic identity of one particular British Lord in Peter Medak's uproarious adaptation of Peter Barnes' experimental play The Ruling Class (1972).
America is not in decline due to incompetence; it is being systematically mismanaged by a ruling class that prioritizes its own power and wealth over the well-being of its citizens. Government policies have led to economic instability, rising crime, and an unchecked border crisis, all while taxpayers see their money funneled into foreign wars and wasteful spending. Instead of addressing these issues, politicians and corporate elites continue to enrich themselves, leaving everyday Americans struggling to maintain their quality of life. Those who voice concerns are often dismissed, censored, or labeled as extremists, reinforcing the growing divide between the government and the people it claims to serve. However, the American people are beginning to recognize that the institutions they once trusted no longer work in their favor. Many now see that political solutions alone will not reverse the damage done by decades of corruption, outsourcing, and social decay. The silent majority, who have long endured these policies with patience, are no longer willing to watch their country be dismantled without accountability. There is a growing demand for transparency, security, and leadership that puts American citizens first. The frustration that has been building for years is reaching a tipping point, and those who have profited from this era of dysfunction may soon find themselves facing the consequences of their actions.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com

At the end of the ancient mythology section we discussed last time, the Popol Vuh (here paralleled by the Title of Totonicapán) depicts the restoration of militaristic class society in the K'iche' corner of the Maya world in the 13th c. CE, after some centuries of relative freedom and equality following the overthrow of the Classic Maya around 950. The founders of the new ruling class are an itinerant, mountain-dwelling secret society who begin their attack on the stateless, classless society around them by prosecuting a covert campaign of ritual serial murder. For perhaps obvious reasons, this passage seems practically untouched in modern scholarship—the most recent English translation of Popol Vuh silently cuts it entirely!—but we of the Kingless Generation have all the right tools to make sense of it in our own little way: the immortal science of historical materialism, the anthropological theories of Brian Hayden regarding the roots of ruling classes in secret society religion, and leftist parapolitics research on Fort Bragg, Marc DuTroux, the Atlanta child murders, and many other modern instances of ritualized abuse and murder for which good evidence exists for the involvement of a wider network of Euro-American military, intelligence, and high bourgeois elements. Welcome to the Deeper you go the Weirder it gets. I am your host Garett Renon. Have you ever tried Siete Chips? You know, the grain free tortilla chips cooked in avocado oil. They are good, right? And they are healthy. At least as healthy as you can make chips. In fact that's kind of their thing…Siete family foods is a company that makes healthy alternatives to not so healthy foods. Which is awesome! We need more food companies to do the same. Well unfortunately they just sold out. And they sold out to Pepsi of all companies which is very odd. Apparently everyone has a price and Siete's price is $1.2 billion. That's right billion with a B. Which is an outrageous sum of money, which we will get into later, believe that! So in this episode I want to talk about what this sale says about our society because as you know by now the deeper you look the weirder and sometimes even scarier things can get. In our latest episode, returning to a theme we discussed frequently in 2020-2021 we talked about the various ruling class forces opposed to Donald Trump's candidacy. America is a right-wing country with no mass organized left resistance, so finding and exploiting fissures in the ruling class is a useful tactic. We discussed the way both candidates, Trump and Harris, take reactionary positions on key issues so there's really no space for a left vision of the future. And making sure that the country stays the way it is, with profound gaps in wealth and poverty and a ruling class more solidly in control than ever, is the main task of the corporate oligarchy. To that end, in our latest episode, we discussed the way the Democrats have embraced GOP politicians, especially the demonic Cheney family. We talked about the various corporate leaders who are endorsing and funding Harris, and military officials who prefer her interventionism to Trump's chaotic uncertainty. Trump is a major destabilizing force and the capitalists understand that Harris is actually a far better steward of their interests than the erratic and addled Trump. READ ROB'S BOOK HERE: https://www.haymarketbooks.org/books/2215-mastering-the-universe Mastering the Universe Introduction: When we think of "Masters of the Universe," we may be reminded of He-Man, with his mighty sword, standing guard at Castle Grayskull against Skeletor and his monstrous allies. But in Professor Rob Larson's latest book, "Masters of the Universe: The Obscene Wealth of the Ruling Class, What They Do with Their Money, and Why You Should Hate Them Even More," There are no animated heroes or villains. Instead, Larson presents us with the all-too-real battle between the 1% and the rest of the world, where the obscene wealth of the elite continues to grow unchecked, resulting in deepening inequality, environmental devastation, and an entrenchment of power that threatens democracy itself. The title may sound exaggerated, but Larson methodically explains how the ruling class wields unimaginable wealth, shaping global economic, political, and environmental outcomes in their favor. As Larson writes, "The system isn't broken—it's rigged. For the wealthy, inequality isn't a bug in the system; it's the feature." Since the Occupy movement brought the 1% into the national consciousness, this elite class has only fortified its hold over our institutions, exploiting crises like the COVID-19 pandemic to increase their fortunes even further. Today, we'll delve into the moral, economic, and environmental obscenities of extreme wealth with Rob Larson, exploring how the elites use their fortunes to maintain power and destroy the planet. We'll also examine what, if anything, can be done to dismantle this concentrated power before it's too late. We'll talk with economist and professor Rob Larson about his latest book, why we should hate the obscenely wealthy even more than we do, and much more! This episode rips the mask off America's educational farce, exposing a system designed not to enlighten, but to indoctrinate and pacify. We're churning out obedient drones, not free thinkers. From rote memorization to ideological brainwashing, our schools are assembly lines for mediocrity. Dr. Roger McFillin welcomes back award winning teacher and Radically Genuine OG Kelly Wetherhold with Daniel Herbruger, a Guatemalan-American who has founded “Critical Thinking Schooling”. Steve Rick, chief economist at TruStage, expects a unique occurrence in Federal Reserve actions between now and election date, with inflation dropping down to its target rate of 2 percent while the labor market reaches equilibrium, with the unemployment rate hitting 4.5 percent. Rick says that good news -- which will be accompanied by rate cuts from the central bank -- will push any potential recession back into 2025 and possibly '26, with economic growth falling below 2 percent, under long-term norms but not so bad that the economy craters. David Trainer, founder and president, New Constructs, pulls a shocker in the "Danger Zone," saying that a member of the Magnificent Seven -- a stock with one of the largest market capitalizations in the world -- has run so far, so fast that it is overdue for a reset that could bring the stock down by more than 60 percent. Plus economist and author Rob Larson, discusses his new book, "Mastering the Universe: The Obscene Wealth of the Ruling Class, What They Do with Their Money, and Why You Should Hate Them Even More."

“A certain degree of faith in Providence and a certain degree of confidence in America … May that combination not be overwhelmed by some disaster.” (New York Times columnist Ross Douthat, offering a blessing for election season) Contemporary political debate and commentary operates from deeply moral sources. People tend to vote their conscience. Our values and ideals, our sense of right and wrong, and our beliefs about what contributes or detracts from the common good often inform our politics. And across the political spectrum, Americans of all stripes exercise their citizenship and public engagement through a religious faith that grounds it all. So, what better space to explore this conjunction of faith, morality, and political life than The New York Times Opinion section? Today on the show, Ross Douthat joins Mark Labberton to discuss how his faith and theological commitments ground his moral and political perspectives. Douthat joined The New York Times as an Opinion columnist in 2009, and regularly appears on the weekly Opinion podcast, “Matter of Opinion.” He's also a film critic for National Review and was previously senior editor at The Atlantic. In this episode, they discuss the spiritual and political background of Douthat's youth and how Roman Catholic Christianity grounded his religious and political views; the challenges for how the Catholic Church and its moral teachings can adapt to contemporary culture; how faith and morality can speak to our dynamic political moment during the 2024 election season; and finally Ross's hope and faith in divine providence met with confidence in America's resilience and capacity for good. About Ross Douthat Ross Douthat joined The New York Times as an Opinion columnist in 2009, and regularly appears on the weekly Opinion podcast, “Matter of Opinion.” He's also a film critic for National Review. Previously, he was a senior editor at The Atlantic. He is the author of several books, including The Deep Places: A Memoir of Illness and Discovery (2021), The Decadent Society (2020), To Change the Church: Pope Francis and the Future of Catholicism (2018), Bad Religion: How We Became a Nation of Heretics (2012); Privilege: Harvard and the Education of the Ruling Class (2005), and, with Reihan Salam, Grand New Party: How Republicans Can Win the Working Class and Save the American Dream (2008). His newest book, Believe: Why Everyone Should Be Religious, will be published in early 2025. Show Notes Ross Douthat's spiritual background as Episcopalian, Pentecostal-Evangelical, and eventually Roman Catholic Our “spiritually haunted environment” How Catholicism has changed from Pope John Paul II to Pope Francis Adapting moral teachings to contemporary challenges “Many, many of the problems in our culture and the reasons for people's unhappiness are related to issues of sex and relationships.” “Jesus says incredibly stringent and strenuous things in the Gospels about sex.” “I think if the church stops having some sort of countercultural message on those issues, then it won't actually be speaking to the big challenges and derangements of our time.” “All of the developed world is heading over this demographic cliff…” People aren't getting married anymore. They aren't forming relationships anymore.” Pope Francis, pastoral sensitivity, and making moral concessions to contemporary culture Pope Francis squelching the Latin mass Commenting on the dynamics and craziness of our political moment “Over the course of my career, I have tried to spend a lot of time with the idea that Catholicism in particular, and I think Christianity in general, should stand a little bit outside of partisan categories.” How the Republican Party can address the needs of the working class Ross Douthat's views during the Trump Era Providence and appealing to God's control "Man proposes, and God disposes.” “The world has grown weirder in general, in the last decade, than it was when I was in my twenties.” Providence and freedom Ross's thesis in The Decadent Society: “The Western world and really the whole planet was sort of stuck stagnant. We'd achieved this incredible level of wealth and technological power, we'd filled the earth and subdued it to some degree, but we were suffering from uncertainty, malaise, and ennui because we didn't know what to do next.” Space travel and Elon Musk Looking for help from some other power: God, Aliens, or A.I. The unique perspective Ross Douthat brings to The New York Times “As the world has grown weirder, I've felt a little more comfortable being weird myself, and that so far hasn't gotten me fired.” “You know, not to brag, but yeah, I'm probably the weirdest columnist at a major American newspaper.” Offering a blessing for the nation's experience between now and election day “Life in the United States is an underrated good. Americans have become very pessimistic, very unhappy with each other, sometimes unhappy with themselves … And I think actually, beneath that difficult surface, America has a lot of real strengths and real resilience and American culture is better positioned, I think, than a lot of cultures around the world to navigate the next 50 to 100 years of human history. So I think that should give people some confidence.” “A certain degree of faith in Providence and a certain degree of confidence in America.” Production Credits Conversing is produced and distributed in partnership with Comment Magazine and Fuller Seminary.

How did the US end up with a two-party dictatorship? Are Trump and Biden really the only options? Does lesser evil voting work? If it's meant to prevent the worst case scenario, then how come it didn't prevent the genocide in Gaza? Is third party voting really as useless and fascist enabling as Democrats say? To discuss this and more Rania Khalek was joined by BT's Eugene Puryear. This is just part of this episode. The full interview is available for Breakthrough News Members only. Stopping human trafficking must be America's primary objective, and a totally unexpected video by President Trump proves he is fully on board with that issue. This is why Trump's re-election will signify what we term the Return Of The King. The corrupt, dirty, deceitful, traitorous Ruling Class know he's coming for them, with MAGA right behind him. And a serious question about science. Do you believe in it anymore? Listen to the Bird Flu set up as the Biden Administration drops $176 million into an mRNA "vaccine" to "protect" us.

What is the great divide in American life? Behind globalism vs. nationalism, Christianity vs. atheism, or native vs. immigrant is a split that could be even more critical: The "Ruling Class" vs. the "Country Class." Josh Hammer of Newsweek explains what the "country class" is and how it explains surprising sources of Donald Trump support. Plus, even if young men on campus are standing up for themselves, America's education system remains powerfully anti-Christian and anti-American. Chris Stigall of the Herzog Foundation talks about how the importance of having schools and curricula that aren't shot through with left-wing indoctrination. Was it your racism or economic despair that made you vote for Donald Trump? That's the question media outlets are asking white people in the Rust Belt and Appalachia, much to the dismay of guest-host Chris Stirewalt. In today's episode of The Remnant, Chris is joined by Tyler Austin Harper—a professor at Bates College—to discuss hispiece for The Atlantic critiquing White Rural Rage: The Threat to American Democracy. Join the two as they break down coastal journalists' mischaracterizations of rural America, the disdain for these Americans, and why it's good to interact with people culturally different than yourself. J. Burden, Host of The J. Burden Show, joins us to discuss how the events of 2020 exposed the liberal ruling class for the tyrants they are, how these same people, with contempt for the working class, have permitted our society to devolve into a quasi-police state replete with failing infrastructure, and how we're approaching the end of the American empire as we know it, and entering into a new, potentially depoliticized culture where we can all agree on fundamental facts. - - - Today's Sponsor: Beam - Get 40% off for a limited time!
