Today in our passage of Scripture we’re going to see the Apostle Paul encouraging Xians to live lives of worth, of value. I think we all desire to do that. The problem is it’s such a vague idea. How do we quantify living a valuable life? The good thing about our text is Paul does just that. He quantifies it by telling the church, fellow Xians that the starting point for a worthy life is believers working together.

Xians; VillageChurch, if we’re going to make a lasting impact in this life; if we’re going to see change take place in our community, then we’ve got to be ready for the long haul. And to do that will require our tank to be full. -And what we’re going to see is Paul teaching us that our relationship with Jesus has the ability to fill our tank so we can make an impact over the long haul of life.

We’re continuing our study thru the book of Ephesians. And today in our passage of Scripture we’re going to see the Apostle Paul sharing with Xians how they can run on a full tank in life. Xians; VillageChurch, if we’re going to make a lasting impact in this life; if we’re going to see change take place in our community, then we’ve got to be ready for the long haul. And to do that will require our tank to be full. -And what we’re going to see is Paul teaching us that our relationship with Jesus has the ability to fill our tank so we can make an impact over the long haul of life.

In our passage of Scripture we’re going to see Paul sharing with a group of Xians living in Ephesus that the best place they could invest their lives in was Jesus. He let them know that their lives were in good hands with Christ. Why? Because when our lives are invested in Jesus we’re going to discover that He takes care of us and provides us with hope and meaning in this life!

Today in our passage of Scripture we’re going to see Paul sharing with believers that God’s people have power! That is just a cool thought to me! And I think part of the reason why is because the picture that’s painted of most Xians is that they’re weak. There’s the persona that when push comes to shove, we’ll back down. We’re supposed to be quiet and stay in a corner and not do anything. And for some reason a lot of believers have bought into this idea.
