Yay! Another semi-controversial topic that needs to be discussed. As a coach myself, it's always been difficult to watch women go to these "coaches" for health and fitness "expertise." Is the program all its cracked up to be? Or is it just another fad that needs to die away?

Today is a very interesting subject focused on a deeper reason as to why mental illness is running rampant throughout our children (and adults too). Not all mental health issues are health/nutrition-related, but there is a good chance that some are. Below are some resources that you can check out for more information on this subject: Post on Healthline: 12 Magnesium Health Benefits (healthline.com) The Magnesium Miracle by Dr. Carolyn Dean

Today we'll be talking about the pros and cons of CrossFit and how you can incorporate a healthy CrossFit routine into your workout schedule if it's something you want to try. All of us need to have cross training defined for us to better understand how we can properly utilize injury prevention techniques and training outside of dance and athletics. I feel that a lot of coaches and teachers just don't know how to define this for their students but students. Overtraining happens in the studio and on the field almost 100% of the time. Dancers and athletes want to ultimately get better at their career choice so naturally, wouldn't this mean more studio time or more time practicing their sport? Find out all the answers in today's episode! Switching gears today to include the parents of the dancers and athletes that I talk to every week. They are so important and often-overlooked (and sometimes purposefully ignored) by a lot of dance teachers and coaches. At La Belle Vie Fitness & Dance, we make it a point to include parents in what their kids are being taught. Which is why we will be launching a brand new series just for parents to learn how to provide healthy, on-the-go meals for their kids, how to balance their schedules to allow for "work-life" balance, and even what their kids might be learning in traditional classes that could be setting them back. These workshops will be launching in the Spring! You can read more here: https://www.labelleviefitness.com/teacher-programs Parents, thank you for everything that you do! I appreciate your hard work and everything you do for your kids.

This topic is very different from what we have talked about in the past but part of living your best, most beautiful life is tackling mental health issues. Today I wanted to share a topic that had me thinking and really spoke to me. I'm a planner, to-do list maker, calendar-lover but I have found that planning too far into the future started to bring up these fears of failing, not living up to what I should, etc. I hope that this topic speaks to you as much as it did to me. Thank you for listening!
We have come to the end of this series. Today, I wanted to talk about some of the more obvious reasons why injury prevention is important as we have touched on some of the less obvious reasons for an injury. It's been a pleasure and I can't wait to share even more with you as time goes on.
