We saw his star rising and have come to worship him.””‭‭ ~Matthew‬ ‭2‬:‭2‬ ‭GW‬‬ ในพระคัมภีร์มีคำทำนายนล่วงหน้ามานานแล้วว่า พระเมสสิยาห์จะมาบังเกิด! แต่ จะมาเกิดวันไหนไม่มีใครทราบ! คนจำนวนมากที่ชอบดูการแสดงละครเวทีที่โบสถ์หรือในโรงหนัง ก็มักจำว่า ฉากในวันที่พระเยซูพระเมสสิยาห์ หรือพระผู้ช่วยให้รอดมาบังเกิด นั้น คือ ฉากพระกุมารอยู่ในรางหญ้า! เป็นฉากที่มีทั้งคนเลี้ยงแกะ และนักปราชญ์หรือโหราจารย์3คนมา มาเข้าเฝ้าพระกุมาร พร้อมกับถวายเครื่องบรรณาการ คือ ทองคำ กำยาน และมดยอบ ในเวลาเดียวกัน ทั้งๆที่ ช่วงเวลาที่ คนเลี้ยงแกะ และนักปราชญ์เหล่านั้น มาเข้าเฝ้าพระเยซูทั้ง2เหตุการณ์นั้นห่างกัน ราว2ปี และนักปราชญ์นั่น จะมากันกี่คน เราก็ไม่รู้ แต่คนมักไม่จำกันเองว่ามีมา3คน ดังนั้น พระเยซูคริสต์ จะบังเกิดในวันไหน ช่วงเวลา เทศกาล หรือ ฤดูอะไร หรือจะเรียกวันที่ พระองค์ประสูติว่าอะไร? สิ่งเหล่านั้น ล้วนไม่ใช่เรื่องประเด็นสำคัญ เพราะ ความจริงก็คือ พระเยซูคริสต์ เสด็จมาบังเกิดเป็นมนุษย์ เพื่อรับโทษแทนเรา นั้นคือ แก่นสารสำคัญที่สุด! เรื่องนี้ ก็คล้ายๆกับเรื่องวันเกิดของผม! ตั้งแต่เด็กมา ผมมีปัญหากับเรื่องวันเกิดของตัวเองเป็นอย่างยิ่งนั้นคือ ผมไม่ทราบว่าแน่ว่า ผมเกิดวันไหนกันแน่? เพราะผมมีวันเกิด อยู่ 2 วัน!1.ในสูติบัตร(ใบเกิด)ของผม แจ้งว่าผมเกิดวันที่16ตุลาคม แต่2.ในทะเบียนบ้าน กลับแจ้งว่าผมเกิด16กรกฎาคม! ดังนั้น ทุกๆครั้งที่มีการย้ายโรงเรียน ผมจะปวดหัวมาก เพราะไม่รู้ว่าจะใช้วันเกิดใด เป็นหลักฐานของมาตรฐานความความถูกต้อง จนกระทั่ง ผมตัดสินใจเลือกวันที่ 16 ตุลาคม เป็นวัน(คล้ายวัน)เกิดของผมโดยนับตั้งแต่ผมสอบเข้ามหาวิทยาลัย มาจน ณ บัดนี้ ผมใช้วันเกิดนี้ (ทั้งๆที่ ตราบจนจนวันนี้ ผมยังไม่รู้เลยว่า จริงๆแล้ว ผมเกิดวันไหน?) ดังนั้น วันเกิดของผมจะเป็นวันที่เท่าไร ก็ไม่ใช่ประเด็นสำคัญอีกต่อไป เพราะความจริงที่สำคัญกว่า ก็คือว่า1. ผมเกิดมาแล้ว! 2.ผมมีตัวตนอยู่ในโลกนี้จริงๆ(ในช่วงเวลานี้ด้วย) 3.ผมมีชีวิตอยู่ ผมหายใจ 4.ผมหิวเป็น ผมกินได้ ดื่มได้ 5.ผมเหนื่อยได้ ผมล้าเป็น 6.ผมรู้สึกได้ เครียดก็ได้ โกรธก็เป็น 7.ผมมีความสัมพันธ์กับหลายๆคน 8.ผมทำทำงาน และกิจกรรมหลายๆอย่าง 9.ผมเรียนหนังสือและผมก็สอนหนังสือด้วย 10. ผมมีครูอาจารย์ และผมก็มีลูกศิษย์ 11.ผมสนุก และ ผมก็ทุกข์เป็นบางที 12.ผมเจ็บป่วย บางครั้งผมก็เจ็บปวด 13.ผมเคยผิดหวังเสียใจ แต่บางครั้งคนอื่นก็เจ็บปวดเสียใจเพราะผมเช่นกัน 14.ผมเผชิญปัญหา ผมแก้ปัญหา และบางทีผมก็เป็นปัญหาให้คนอื่นแก้…ทั้งหมดที่กล่าวมานี้ ก็เพื่อยืนยันว่า ผมมีตัวตนจริงๆ แม้ไม่รู้ว่าวันเกิดจริงๆของผมคือวันที่เท่าไร? วันคริสต์มาสก็เช่นกัน ไม่มีใครรู้แน่(นอกจากพระเจ้า)ว่า แท้จริงคือวันที่เท่าไร? แต่นั่นไม่ใช่ประเด็นสำคัญแต่อย่างใด อย่างที่กล่าวไปแล้ว! เพราะในความเป็นจริง พระเยซูคริสต์แห่งวันคริสต์มาส1. ทรงบังเกิดเป็นมนุษย์จริงๆ2.ทรงดำเนินชีวิตอยู่บนโลก3.ทรงใช้ชีวิตคบหาคลุกคลีกับผู้คนตลอดพระชนม์ชีพราว33ปีในโลกนี้4.ทรงสั่งสอน และทรงประกาศข่าวประเสริฐเรื่องแผ่นดินสวรรค์ 5.ทรงรักษาคนเจ็บป่วยทั้งกาย จิตและวิญญาณ 6.ทรงกระทำการอัศจรรย์ 7. ทรงถูกทรมานอย่างอยุติธรรมโหดร้าย 8. ทรงถูกตรึงตายบนกางเขนเพื่อ ไถ่โทษบาปของมวลมนุษย์ชาติ 9.ทรงถูกฝัง และทรงเป็นขึ้นมาจากตาย 10.ทรงสั่งสอนและบัญชาสาวกเป็นครั้งสุดท้าย ก่อนเสด็จสู่สวรรค์ และ 11.ทรงสัญญาว่าจะเสด็จกลับมารับทุกคนที่เชื่อไปอยู่กับพระองค์ในแผ่นดินสวรรค์ ฯลฯ ดังนั้นอย่าให้เราไปซีเรียสใส่ใจหรือ คิดมากเกินไปนักว่า พระเยซูคริสต์แห่งวันคริสต์มาสนั้นทรงบังเกิดวันที่เท่าไร เดือนไหน? และ เราควรจะฉลองวันคริสต์มาสหรือไม่ ? ย้ำอีกครั้ง ประเด็นสำคัญไม่ได้อยู่ที่ว่า วันคริสต์มาสคือ วันที่เท่าไร? แต่ความสำคัญ อยู่ที่ “องค์พระเยซูคริสต์“ทรงมาทำอะไร 1).เพื่อเรา และ 2).เพื่อมวลมนุษยชาติในโลกนี้ ?ใช่แล้ว ไม่ว่าเราจะยึดถือกันว่าวันคริสต์มาสเป็นวันที่เท่าไร (จะใช่หรือไม่ ก็ไม่แน่ใจ)นั่นไม่ใช่สิ่งสำคัญเท่ากับ“สาระ”ของวันคริสต์มาส ที่ว่าพระเยซูคริสต์เสด็จมาทำอะไร? ขอย้ำอีกที เราไม่ได้ฉลอง'วันที่' ของวันคริสต์มาสแต่เราฉลอง'สิ่งที่'พระคริสต์แห่งวันคริสต์มาส กระทำเพื่อเรา คือ ช่วยเราให้รอดพ้นตายเป็นนิตย์จากโทษบาปมี่ตัวเราเองก่อ ดังนั้น เราจึงมีเหตุผลอันสมควรที่จะฉลองวันคริสต์มาสได้เสมอ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นวันใดใน 365วันของปี แต่ถ้าจะให้ดี ขอให้เรามา 1).เฉลิมฉลอง และ 2).ประกาศข่าวดีวันคริสต์มาสนี้ กับคนทั้งหลายกันทุกวัน ในชีวิตของเราเลย … จะดีไหมครับ? John 3:16 tells us God so loved the world he gave…God loved and God gave. No greater gift has ever been given. Jesus is the greatest gift of all. Within this Gift is wrapped the hope, peace, joy, and love we’ve been talking about in our 4 part podcast series for Advent. Because of God’s love for us, He gave Jesus. Now with the love of Jesus he wants us to love others. Love involves action. This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. 1 John 3:16-18 As God’s children we must be about the family business - the family business is LOVE.
