In this episode, we discuss the malevolent incompetence of California's elected officials and bureaucrats. They cause so many of this state's problems, and then they turn around and lie to your face, always blaming climate change or their political rivals or Donald Trump. Clearly, things have gone off the rails in California, but when will voters recognize how bad it's gotten -- and that this once-great state needs major change? Is it bad enough yet? In this episode, we discuss results from the 2024 election nationally and at the state level. Here in California, there were some encouraging results; analyzing these results might help us make progress in restoring sanity to this state in the near future. Californians are sick of being abused by their state government, politicians, and bureaucrats. It's time to build momentum and focus on the things that we can realistically change right now. Together we can thwart Gavin Newsom's delusional presidential ambitions. Follow California Liberty Project on X Follow California Liberty Project on Instagram

The conversation also touches on the broader issue of how men are treated in family courts and the imbalance of power in favor of mothers. Tinsley is actively involved in spreading awareness and advocating for change. In this episode, we covered a lot of ground. I discussed current California political news/events, but then focused the episode on America's radical moment: the Trump (political prosecution) verdict was announced just a few days ago. Dr. Walter Block is a libertarian scholar and professor at Loyola University New Orleans, and he is an author of two-dozen books. He is also a senior fellow at the Mises Institute. His work focuses on Austrian economics and libertarian political theory -- and he is not afraid to tackle thorny/unpopular topics. In this episode, we started off by discussing Walter's early years in Brooklyn, where he was a classmate of Bernie Sanders' and later met Ayn Rand and her associates as an undergrad. He credits some conversations and meetings with them for opening his eyes to liberty and free markets. Walter was also a friend and mentee of the late Murray Rothbard's. In addition to discussing some of the universities with Austrian economists in residence, we spent most of the episode talking about the Israel-Hamas conflict. Walter recently co-wrote a controversial op-ed piece in the Wall Street Journal in which he defended Israel's actions and was highly critical of Palestinian-rights movements. In this solo episode, I recount California's numerous public-safety and public-policy failures over the past few years: water mismanagement, increasing street crime, subsidies & support for drug abuse, Prop. 57, homelessness, etc. Gavin Newsom is now being forced to sound like a voice of reason (partly), because he is trying to finagle a run for the presidency. So that might mean that reparations will be a "no way" and critical water projects might actually get built (over the objections of the fanatical environmental zealots).
