In this episode, host Shai Davidai sits down with Andrew Pessin, a philosophy professor at Connecticut College and author of several books on anti-Semitism and philosophy. Andrew shares his personal journey, including his "Herzl moment"—the realization that anti-Zionism is a form of anti-Semitism—sparked by a social media controversy in 2015. He recounts the backlash he faced after a Facebook post about the Israel-Hamas conflict was taken out of context, leading to international outrage and threats. The conversation explores the rise of anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism on college campuses, the challenges faced by Jewish and Zionist professors and students, and the broader societal implications. Andrew also discusses his ongoing work documenting campus incidents, the importance of Jewish education, and his hope for the next generation. This candid discussion sheds light on the complexities of identity, academic freedom, and the fight against bigotry in today's world. This week on the Mark Levin Show, people often question why does the issue of radical Islamists remain a topic of discussion? The reason is that Jews are being slaughtered, Christians are being killed or shunned, yet there is a noticeable lack of coverage on these atrocities. Marxism, Islamism, anti-Semitism, and anti-Americanism are a cancer that will destroy the West, it will destroy us - history proves it. We have to defend our civilization against this barbarian movement of 7th century Islamists that are largely based in Middle East. The lies that are being told about American history is all intentional. It's the Marxist, Islamist fusion in our culture fused with the incoming Islamist culture who all reject our founding. President Trump has never flinched in his support for the state of Israel, and he's very concerned about the antisemitism taking place in the U.S. and around the world. But there are some Tucker Carlson and Nick Fuentes types who say they're done with Trump because he's Israel first. These people are trying to destroy MAGA, the Republican party and the Trump presidency. We won't let that happen. We have a growing terrorist threat in Europe stemming from the Israel-Hamas conflict in Gaza, which has been exported through operational networks involving Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran. These Islamists are already in the U.S. waiting and plotting. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

12/18/25 - Staggering Scale of Fraud: Minnesota's Medicaid Crisis Explained

On Thursday's Mark Levin Show, U.S. Attorney's office in Minnesota has announced new indictments in the Somali community revealing industrial-scale fraud in the state's Medicaid programs, with half or more of the roughly $18 billion paid out since 2018 potentially fraudulent across at least 14 high-risk services. The fraud outpaces other states, risking essential services and ripping off taxpayers. Why isn't there any outrage from Democrats like Rep Ilhan Omar? Also, Inflation is decreasing significantly, and the U.S. economy is poised for improvement despite possible short-term dips, ultimately leading to growth. President Trump has implemented extensive pro-growth measures across sectors such as natural resources, food, commercial fisheries, and farming, including removing Biden-era regulations, and enacting massive tax and regulatory cuts reminiscent of Reagan's. Later, we have a growing terrorist threat in Europe stemming from the Israel-Hamas conflict in Gaza, which has been exported through operational networks involving Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran.  These Islamists are already in the U.S. waiting and plotting.   Afterward, sources are saying the Brown University murder, and the MIT nuclear expert murder are linked.  As of now, police have found the suspect's abandoned car, issued an arrest warrant with probable cause, and expanded the multi-state investigation to New Hampshire, canceling a press conference amid active operations.  Finally, Josh Hammer calls in to explain the attacks from Candace Owens, Megyn Kelly, and other podcasters, which are signs that he's speaking uncomfortable truths while others prioritize clicks and attention over substance. Welcome to The Times of Israel's Lazar Focus. Each Friday, catch diplomatic correspondent Lazar Berman for a deep dive into what's behind the news that spins the globe. This week, we’re joined by Danielle Pletka, distinguished senior fellow in Foreign and Defense Policy Studies at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), where she focuses on US foreign policy, the Middle East, and terrorism. Pletka, speaking to Beman from her native Australia, blasts the Albanese government for its failure to confront antisemitism and for its entirely insufficient response to the deadly shooting at a Hanukkah party in Sydney on Sunday. Turning to US policy around the Gaza war, Pletka argues that then-US president Joe Biden was indeed a friend of Israel, but was already losing control over the White House to figures such as former National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan when Hamas invaded southern Israel, killing some 1,200 and taking 251 hostage to Gaza, on October 7, 2023. She critiques elements of US President Donald Trump's foreign policy, including the lack of Middle East experts and the influence of countries such as Qatar over decision-making. Still, Pletka gives high marks to the Abraham Accords and Trump's aggressive policy against Iran. Pletka predicts, however, that the nascent International Security Force for Gaza will collapse on its own, allowing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to say that he was willing to go along with Trump's plan before resuming his own tactics. In the wake of a social media bust-up this week, Pletka says that US Vice President JD Vance is not anti-Israel, but is instead willing to take whatever positions will help him advance politically -- even if it means befriending Tucker Carlson, who had a softball interview with Nick Fuentes after the antisemitic media personality used racist slurs against Vance's wife. Despite some warning signs, Pletka says that the evidence indicates that most Republicans -- and the "soul of the party" -- still support Israel and the continued alliance between Washington and Jerusalem. Lazar Focus can be found on all podcast platforms. This episode was produced by the Pod-Waves. Geert Laporte, Miriam Mukalazi, Robert Zischg, Philomena Apiko, Georg Krenn, Jamie Just, Stephan Scholz25 YEARS OF STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP IN TURBULENT TIMESAfrica-Europe relations and the Austrian Africa Strategy Twenty-five years have passed since the establishment of the EU–Africa Partnership at the first summit in Cairo, and seventeen years since the adoption of the historic Joint Africa–Europe Strategy in Lisbon in 2007, whose preamble says “Africa and Europe are bound together by history, culture, geography and a common future, as well as by a community of values – respect for human rights, freedom, equality, solidarity, justice, the rule of law and democracy.”Since then, the partnership has faced many tensions around diverging priorities like migration policies, vaccine distribution among others. The Russian invasion of Ukraine and the Israel–Hamas war have further exposed geopolitical rifts, and Brexit and the decline of French influence in West Africa have weakened Europe's traditional position on the continent and African scholars and policymakers continue to question the notion of a “partnership of equals” as long as power asymmetries, colonial legacies and the full historical context remain insufficiently addressed.Today, Europe is challenged to engage as a genuine partner with a more self-confident Africa — an Africa that increasingly pursues its own interests and has strategic alternatives with China, India, Russia, or the Gulf states, in view of the new geopolitical and economic realities, the EU has a renewed interest to reach out to Africa with its emerging markets, trading and investment opportunities. According to EU President Antonio Costa, the 7th AU–EU Summit, held in Luanda on November 24–25 was set “strengthen cooperation in key areas such as economic integration, trade and investment, green transition, digitalization, migration, peace and security, multilateralism, and human development”.The Austrian Foreign Minister Meinl-Reisinger also emphasized that Africa is a continent of opportunity, marked by enormous economic potential and a dynamic young population and the new Austrian Africa Strategy, recently announced by the Austrian government, shall follow similar priorities. The event shall analyze the major achievements, potentials and challenges of the current AU – EU partnership, discuss the main results of the summit in Luanda from different point of views and explore how the priorities and modalities of the upcoming Austrian Africa Strategy could contribute to embolden a renewed partnership among equals.  ModeratorMiriam Mukalazi, Africa Policy Programme, VIDCKey noteGeert Laporte, Senior Associate of ECDPM, former Director of the European Think Tanks GroupAU-EU Summits-25 years of strategic partnership in turbulent times: What are the majors achievements, potentials and challenges of the current AU – EU partnership?DiscussantsRobert Zischg, Head of Department for Sub-Sahara Africa and the African Union, Austrian Federal Ministry for European and Internationals AffairsPhilomena Apiko, Policy Analyst on AU-EU relations, ECPDMJaimie Just, African European Civil Society Engagement Platform (CSEP/Concord)Georg Krenn, Austrian Commercial Counsellor & Head of ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA CairoStefan Scholz, design. Dutch, Spanish, Irish and Slovenian broadcasters announced plans to sit out the context in Vienna next May. It came after the European Broadcasting Union, which runs Eurovision, voted to adopt tougher voting rules after allegations of Israel manipulating (操縱) votes. That was the I.C.R.T. 'We weren't complete until all the hostages returned home': Ottawa seniors launch book of Oct. 7 feelings

Nearly 40 handwritten letters by a group of Ottawa seniors have made their way into a unique new publication documenting the impact of Oct. 7 over the last two years. The project is by a group called “Active Jewish Adults 50+”, and grew out of a call-out by The CJN in mid-October, following the Israel-Hamas ceasefire and subsequent release of the remaining 20 living hostages. The CJN asked readers to send in their reactions—and these seniors took that request to heart. They meet each Tuesday at the Kehillat Beth Israel synagogue in Ottawa for programming and lunch. Upwards of 50 regulars, between the ages of 70 and 100, took part in this special letter-writing project. But they didn't just send their reactions to The CJN—they decided to publish the letters themselves. The result is a new booklet called Reflections on the Release of the Hostages, launching the week of Dec. 1, just as Hamas handed over more unidentified remains to the Red Cross. Israel hasn't confirmed whether they belong to the final two deceased hostages, still considered missing since Oct. 7. On today's episode of The CJN's flagship news podcast North Star, host Ellin Bessner asks some of the creative seniors to read their submissions and share how the war has affected them. Plus, we hear from Sheila Osterer, the group's executive director, who initiated the project. Related links Learn more about  AJA 50+  and their activities in Ottawa. Hey, it has only been almost a year, right? There is one little problem with the house that Bass is celebrating, however. It was a developer project that was in the works before the fires even happened. That's right, this house wasn't even one of the average homes destroyed by fires and her incompetence. Geopolitical https://twitter.com/AAGDhillon/status/1993535086462152800?s=20 The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) is establishing a new office within its Civil Rights Division specifically dedicated to enforcing and protecting Second Amendment rights, which guarantee the right to keep and bear arms under the U.S. Constitution. Named the Second Amendment Rights Section, this office is set to open on December 4, 2025, and will focus on investigating and challenging local or state laws, policies, or practices that the DOJ deems as infringing on gun rights.  This move is part of a broader shift in priorities under the Trump administration, reallocating resources to emphasize conservative-leaning civil rights issues, such as gun ownership, over traditional areas like racial discrimination or police misconduct oversight. The initiative stems from a February 2025 executive order by President Donald Trump, which instructed Attorney General Pam Bondi to review and address any federal, state, or local infringements on Second Amendment rights.  The office will operate using existing DOJ funding and personnel, without needing new congressional approval, though Congress was notified of the plans.   former DOJ officials, argue that this emphasis on gun rights dilutes the division’s core mission of safeguarding the rights of marginalized groups, especially amid ongoing gun violence issues in the U.S. (with 378 mass shootings reported as of November 25, 2025).  https://twitter.com/disclosetv/status/1993654295263350864?s=20 SHAME: Brazil Descends Into Tyranny, as Supreme Court Justice Moraes Orders Bolsonaro To Start Serving His Unjust 27-Year Prison Sentence for Fake ‘Coup' Bolsonaro, man of the people. Trump Says No Firm Deadline for Ukraine, Russia to Reach Peace Deal Trump, speaking to reporters on board Air Force One as he flew to Florida for the Thanksgiving holiday, said U.S. negotiators were making progress in discussions with Russia and Ukraine, and Moscow had agreed to some concessions. He did not detail them. A U.S.-based framework for ending the war, first reported last week, prompted fresh concerns that the Trump administration might be willing to push Ukraine to sign a peace deal heavily tilted toward Moscow. Trump said his envoy Steve Witkoff would be traveling to Moscow soon to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and that his son-in-law Jared Kushner, who helped negotiate the Gaza deal that brought about an uneasy ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war, was also involved. Trump in recent days had set the Thanksgiving holiday as the day when he wanted to see Ukraine agree to a deal to bring about an end to Russia’s war in Ukraine. But he and his aides have backed away from a firm deadline and now say they would like an agreement as soon as possible. Trump said it appeared that Russia had the upper hand in the war and that it would be in Ukraine’s best interests to reach an agreement. [DS] Agenda Democrat Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick Surrenders to Authorities After Allegedly Laundering $5 Million in FEMA Funds — Allegedly Bought 3.14-Carat Yellow Diamond Ring A sitting Democratic member of Congress from Broward County, Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, surrendered to federal authorities Tuesday in Miami amid explosive allegations that she orchestrated a scheme to steal and launder $5 million in FEMA COVID-19 disaster relief funds, and used a portion to bankroll her 2021 congressional campaign and purchase a luxury yellow diamond ring. “The indictment alleges that the defendants conspired to steal that $5 million and routed it through multiple accounts to disguise its source. Prosecutors allege that a substantial portion of the misappropriated funds was used as candidate contributions to Cherfilus-McCormick's 2021 congressional campaign and for the personal benefit of the defendants. According to the Miami Herald, the money trail reveals a stunning web of alleged financial abuse and deception: $2.4 million transferred into the bank account of Cherfilus-McCormick's consulting company. $1.2 million routed to relatives. $830,000 moved into an account where the congresswoman was an authorized signer. $334,000 sent to a co-defendant, Nadege Leblanc, to orchestrate straw donor contributions. $190,000 transferred to a company associated with her brother, Edwin Cherfilus. $109,000 allegedly used to purchase the now-infamous 3.14-carat Fancy Yellow Diamond ring. The indictment alleges that more than $1.14 million was then funneled into her campaign account in September and October 2021, just in time for her congressional race, funds prosecutors say were “illegally sourced and misrepresented” on campaign reports and tax returns. ODNI officials said the agency received a tip from a person affiliated with a media organization about potential criminal wrongdoing by an individual believed to be working at an intelligence agency and set about documenting it in a memo. A short time after the unfinished memo began to circulate, the conservative news outlet, Blaze News, published details similar to those in the draft, including the woman’s full name. CBS News was not shown the memo, but sources said McNamara had accessed confidential files to obtain details about the woman for the draft memo, including her place of work and Social Security number. The federal security officer cooperated with the FBI, sources close to the matter said. Her lawyer said publicly she had done nothing wrong. Both the woman and her lawyer declined to comment. She returned to work after being placed on a brief leave, one of the sources said.” Another “Seven Ways from Sunday” Effort Against DNI Tulsi Gabbard – The J6 Pipe Bomber Was Wrongly Identified  CBS is writing a narrative through the background story of how the wrong identity was originated, and that tracks back to Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard.  In essence, a hit against Tulsi Gabbard emerges, and the details end up showing a transparent intelligence operation for those who have paid close attention. According to CBS an anonymous “whistleblower” originally contacted the ODNI, Tulsi Gabbard's office, with information about who the J6 pipe bomber was.  Subsequently, “a unit overseen by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard drafted a memo identifying the woman and describing allegations.” As the article is written, “Several sources told CBS News that the classified draft memo, which was on ODNI letterhead, was written by Paul McNamara, who is in charge of Gabbard's Director's Initiatives Group, which is tasked with providing “transparency and accountability” and executing President Trump's intelligence-related executive orders.” Shortly thereafter, Steve Baker at Blaze News then wrote an article naming the accused pipe bomber, using information that directly paralleled the report within the DNI's office. The accused woman was cleared during an FBI investigation that stemmed from the memo and The Blaze report.   The woman provided an alibi and recordings of her activity timestamped during the time when she was accused of walking through the streets of Washington DC.  CBS narrative doesn't focus on The Blaze or the reporting of Steve Baker, instead the media hit shifts responsibility to Tulsi Gabbard who is operating outside her intelligence oversight lane and conducting independent investigations which includes information from “outside sources.” Having followed the operations of these embed “intel officials” the motive for this operation against the office of the DNI is clear.  You, me, all of us can see with clear non-pretending eyes, the intent of this op was to change the way Tulsi Gabbard is receiving information and to block the delivery of external sunlight. Millions of Americans were in the streets over the weekend, rallying against President Donald Trump and his administration's latest authoritarian escalations. Organizers for the 'No Kings' protests said more than 7 million people turned out to more than 2,700 pro-democracy rallies across the country. Republicans tried their best to demonize the protesters saying the "hate America" demonstrations would be filled with radicals and violence. But, as it turns out, the protests were almost entirely peaceful. Chicago, Illinois, a focal point for the administration's crackdown on immigration, was just one of the cities that saw people gather in solidarity against Trump. So to talk more about the latest regarding Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the back and forth on National Guard deployment, and what's really happening on the ground there, we spoke with Monica Eng. She covers Chicago for Axios. And in headlines, the Israel-Hamas ceasefire faces its first major test, Trump says he's ending financial aid to one of the country's closest Latin America allies, and the government shutdown stretches into a new week.Show Notes:Check out Monica's work – www.axios.com/authors/mengCall Congress – 202-224-3121Subscribe to the What A Day Newsletter – https://tinyurl.com/3kk4nyz8What A Day – YouTube – https://www.youtube.com/@whatadaypodcastFollow us on Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/crookedmedia/For a transcript of this episode, please visit crooked.com/whataday Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Israel Hamas Peace Deal Hamas has agreed to a ceasefire and peace plan proposed by President Donald Trump. The agreement was reportedly signed in Egypt, with multiple Arab nations participating in mediation (Qatar, Egypt, Turkey). Hostage releases are a central part of the deal, including both living captives and the return of bodies of those killed since the October 7, 2023 attacks. Trump is quoted extensively, describing this as a “historic” moment and promising a new era of peace in Gaza. The document includes reactions from families of hostages, marked by emotional gratitude toward Trump. Trump’s remarks on rebuilding Gaza and establishing a “Council of Peace” suggest a broader reconstruction initiative funded by wealthy Middle Eastern nations. The final section shifts into Trump’s domestic commentary, highlighting supposed successes in reducing crime in Washington, D.C., and comparing local peace and safety efforts to the broader Middle East peace vision.
