You are going to love this episode with Erin from Yarrow Therapy! She has amazing insights as a woman, mother and licensed therapist. As women/mothers we are usually juggling one or more tasks and roles at a time. It’s rare to focus on one thing at a time, but if we are present and aware there are small pockets of time we are “in-between". Erin teaches us on this podcast how to 1. recognize these small moments and 2. use them as bridges and spaces of consciousness and placing intention and attention. Examples: Kids leaving for school/cleaning up breakfast Carpool/Waiting in the car Driving to work Bedtime Think about the times that you pull out your phone to mindlessly scroll for a few minutes- those moments are good indicators those moments might be transitional times. Erin Shepard is a licensed clinical social worker, and has been a practicing therapist for the past 11 years. Not only has she worked as a crisis worker in the ER, and as a family therapist on Oncology unit within health care she also worked with youth in states custody and for the past three years has focused solely on maternal mental health. Talking about lack/ scarcity mindset. At the root of our feelings of “not good enough” is the belief that we are separate from God and separate from each other and separate from Earth.
The world needs enlightened, empowered and aligned people serving. That means the world needs enlightened, empowered and aligned people RECEIVING!!! Most of us aren't that great at receiving, and we MUST HEAL THIS. IT IS SAFE TO WANT. IT IS SAFE TO DESIRE. IT IS SAFE TO RECEIVE.
What we resist persists. As we learn to love and allow fear it will get easier to have it be a friend and not a foe in our life. Fear is showing us old wounds that need to be looked at, and with a little bit of brutal honesty, we can see how being afraid of fear has kept us from living a full life.

After managing my adhd I felt on top of the world...for a little bit. Then everything spiraled. For everything that Adderall gave me (rewired my brains ability to think happy and positive thoughts/ grew my reading comprehension again) it also took away things from me. I’m sharing a teeny little bit of details of my story of spiritual awakening and transforming my life through meditation, mindfulness and our beautiful connection with God. I went from medicated and caffeinated all day long and unhappy to feeling fulfilled and spiritually connected every day. **im not pro-meds or anti-meds- I have learned several ways to manage my adhd and depression with diet, exercise and supplements but I truly believe meditation has slowly healed my brain. Wait...what?! Yeah, let’s just say once you commit to changing and living a fulfilled life, stuff is gonna hit the fan. Obstacles are going to pop up like daisies. You will confront emotional pain like you’ve never seen before, BUT! It’s all good! Realize that the obstacles and trials are beautiful steps to show you more love and growth and just keep hiking on! It’s worth it!!
What we resist, persists, so what in your life are you resisting that are things you’d actually want gone?! This goes so against how our brain and ego work, to allow and surrender to what is actually going on. Our ego thinks there is strength in resisting because it is afraid. Living in an unconscious ego driven life is because we are trying to cover up our 1. Fear 2. Inaction and 3. Indecision. But once you realize you are NOT your ego and have so much more power than that, you can allow. Allow every obstacle to show you the way to what needs looking at, what needs healing and maybe even what you need to have less of in your life. What are you fighting in your life? It’s time to allow it with love.
Service- when is it helpful and when is it harmful? Learning how to feel our feelings and honor them around service is the greatest work you can do. Service is beautiful and needed and helps us grow closer to God. But if we have unhealthy beliefs and habits around service it is actually hurting all of us. We are all divine beings and powerful enough to change our lives through God.
Summertime with school aged kids at home can be a battle. It’s time to own up to what works for your family, what DOESN’T work for your family. What you want your summer to be like or not be like. Remember that structure and routines are still important to a degree, chaos can cause its only set of problems.
Eliminate Mommy Martyrdome- some of us know of women or ourselves! that suffer from Mommy Martyr Syndrome. How can we stop this and raise a generation of happy and peaceful parents? Learn why we complain and why we see suffering as valiant. Let’s stop judging ourselves mmkay? But how? AWARENESS, is the beginning. Our ego believes, and we were taught through culture that judging and criticizing works to change behavior. But it doesn’t! And if it does that behavior changed out of fear, manipulation and shame. It’s time to use LOVE as our guiding light and reason to change. Want to be recognized and unconditionally accepted? Recognize your efforts and unconditionally love yourself. And last but not least, forgive yourself for being a jerk to yourself. ❤️
What is EGO anyway? Learning about your ego, that it’s not bad, and it’s here to help you can transform your life. It is negative beliefs that make our ego crazy. Identifying with our thoughts and emotions around those ego beliefs is what makes us crazy. Realizing that you are NOT your ego, but you are the one watching your ego is huge.
Looking at ways we deliberately obstruct, destroy and make our lives more stressful. Yes, we all do it and it comes from a lack of self love. It’s time to kick our crappy habits and thoughts to the curb.
Most people don’t want to talk about self love, is dumb, it’s for weak people, it’s not really accomplishing anything! But oh! Oh!! Self love is everything. Real transformation comes when you realize most of your negative behaviors are a form of punishment towards yourself. The more love you let into your heart for your life and who you are, the more each self sabotaging behavior will disappear. It’s time to get real and see how your self rejection ebbs into all areas of your life.
Acceptance is the first step to...everything awesome. In this episode we talk about looking at own life, thoughts and circumstances and accepting where we are. Accepting what we are getting out of the positives and negatives and allowing gratitude for everything as it is. But that also means things that irritate you or upset you about other people are ultimately...about an unloved or neglected part of your shadow. It’s time to notice the hurts and forgive and move on.
Hold on! Here’s a little woo-woo stuff about thoughts and feelings as vibrations of energy. I know, but give it a try! This is where real change starts. Understanding that by accepting my feelings and slowly changing what I looked at changed my reality. Literally.

All of us try to be robotic machines being perfect all the time and it doesn’t work. Identifying when your best time of day is, when you get your best work in and then owning it and having compassion for yourself (and others) is a great tool in your spiritual journey tool belt.
