I have wanted to interview Colin for over a year...  I met him doing Yoga at the top of Burger Hill which is a magnificent mountaintop here in Rhinebeck, New York.  Once you climb Burger Hill you are at the top of the place where you can see a 360degree view from the Berkshire Mountains to the Catskills.   Colin was doing Yoga...brilliantly...and I was told that he went there most nights at sunset.  AND I was told that he was a glassblower... He calls himself the MAD SCIENTIST... Well, I finally got the opportunity to have him do a podcast for this show and , I must say, it is even better than I imagined.... From blowing glass for Yoko One to working with the amazing musicians in New York City....Colin will "BLOW" your mind...

When I asked Seth Rolbein if he would be interested in doing a Podcast for Dessert Course of My Life with me, I had NO IDEA how fascinating he is.  In fact, Seth who is a journalist, adventurer, world traveler a giving, caring soul, has tales to tell that could be a movie, book, tv series...   I hope, for your sake and mine,  that this is only the first of my interviews with Seth... Jackie is one of my heroes.  Yes, she has been sober for 15 years but she has taken AA (The Program) and the 12 steps and learned how to live life "staying on her side of the street"... no BS with Jackie.   She was really an alcoholic...deep into it and is one of those amazing people who turned their lives around.  Her life is an example for all of us.  She is also my niece and best friend.

When I went into OLD MILL Wine and Spirits, in Rhinebeck,  I felt like I was in a private wine cellar...The gentleman who owns this special, one of a kind store is Charles Derbyshire...Quite a name and Quite a guy...  He was funny, welcoming and knew far more about liquor than anyone I had ever known.  Not just your run of the mill store with the well known bottles lined up... This was a whole new world for me...and not the most expensive...it is the best, most interesting...  So, of course, I HAD to interview Charles on anything he wanted to talk about...and it was about his life, careers, family, love of music...I could go on and on... Paul Rodney Turner might be one of the most remarkable people I will ever know.  He has written a book (available on Amazon) named THE FOOD YOGA.  He co-founded FOOD FOR LIFE GLOBAL which is responsible for feeding 6.5 BILLION meals and continues to serve every day.  They are in 60 countries and there are 211 different outlets globally.  The food is plant based which means that they can feed so many more people.  You have to listen to this, you have to pass it along to your friends.   Paul was a monk from age 19 through 33.  He cooked and fed people, he learned how care, what is important in this life.  One of his jobs in life is that he is a true humanitarian... You will meet a person like Nabin Moktan.  We hear about spiritual beings who don't fall prey to values just for the diversion.  Beings who respect the next person and allow all to be human and through the eyes of people like Nabin we learn to love and care and forgive and reach out and enjoy our lives.  I met Nabin in Nepal, where I visited for 1 month 2 years ago.   We met often, meeting Nabin's friends and family, artists and the most special person of all...Nabin's Guru.   Because of meeting Nabin, my life has been changed for the better forever.  Listen to my conversation with Nabin who was in Nepal and I was in Rhinebeck, NY...  AMAZING...

Scot has been giving back and caring for young men and women in underserved communities for a long time.  2 programs he has launched are "WHY WE KNEEL" and "COPS AND KIDS"...He has made a difference!!  His CAMP POWER summer camp has grown to over 200 kids.  He gives respect, humor, great music and is a brilliant role model...  I am so blessed to know Scot...you will be too!  Now more than ever we need leaders for young people who makes a place for them in this world...  Listen and pass along, and support him and the young men and women who might otherwise have fallen through the cracks...
