    Ivy Insights

The Everythang Culture Podcast is a refreshing departure from the usual movie review or niche-topic podcasts that I typically listen to. While those are enjoyable in their own right, this podcast offers something different - a diverse range of topics and a deep exploration of various cultures. The host, Drake, does an excellent job of keeping the audio quality top-notch, and I highly recommend giving it a listen.

One of the best aspects of The Everythang Culture Podcast is its diversity. Drake covers a wide range of topics and delves into different cultures with genuine curiosity and respect. This allows listeners to broaden their horizons and learn about perspectives they may not have encountered before. Additionally, I appreciate how Drake focuses on children in foster care and the important work being done to place them. It's heartwarming to see someone using their platform to shed light on such an important issue.

However, one downside of the podcast is that it can be emotionally heavy at times. Episodes discussing child abuse or caseworker experiences can be difficult to listen to as they expose harsh realities. While necessary for raising awareness, these episodes can be quite heartbreaking and may not be suitable for everyone. That being said, Drake handles these topics with sensitivity and provides valuable insights.

In conclusion, The Everythang Culture Podcast is a standout show that offers engaging content and explores various cultures in depth. Despite occasional heavy subject matter, it remains informative and inspiring throughout. Drake's chemistry with his guests shines through, making listeners feel like they're getting to know him on a personal level. If you're interested in expanding your knowledge and understanding of different ways of life, this podcast is definitely worth checking out.

Freaknik was an annual spring break event that took place in Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States between 1983 and 1997. Hello, beautiful people! I have a question. Why are we struggling with what's appropriate and what's not? Many people do not support the Black community. It's 2024, and we are dealing with prejudice and discrimination on numerous levels with racism. To feel like a person shouldn't be treated or respected as a human being in equal measure is inhumane. Chan and I discuss how discrimination and prejudice show up in the treatment of Black people in America. Discrimination: The process of making unfair or prejudicial distinctions between people based on the groups, classes, or other categories to which they belong or are perceived to belong, such as race, gender, age, religion, physical attractiveness, or sexual orientation.Prejudice: An affective feeling towards a person based on their perceived group membership. Being Twice as Good - Episode 3

In this episode, we discuss “Being Twice as Good” in America. We, as Black individuals in America, have historically faced systemic discrimination and racism, which has contributed to a significant disadvantage in various areas of life. Black individuals have been subjected to unequal treatment in education, employment, housing, and even healthcare. This has led to a disproportionate number of black individuals living in poverty, having lower incomes, and experiencing higher rates of unemployment compared to other racial groups. This has also led to us working harder than our counterparts to receive the same level of respect or opportunity. It is important to recognize that systemic racism and discrimination still exist in the United States, and it is essential to work toward creating a more equitable and just society for all individuals, regardless of race. By acknowledging and addressing these issues, we can work towards a more inclusive and fair society where everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed. You can find Chan at: IG: @chanbepoddinTikTok @chanbepoddinhttps://www.chanbepoddin.com/This podcast is sponsored by BetterHelpIf you are feeling overwhelmed and need someone to talk to professionally, reach out to the therapist at BetterHelp https://www.betterhelp.com/shegetsitpod/You can find us at:Www.EverythangCulture.comIG/Facebook/Tiktok/Tumblr: @EverythangCulture Twitter: @EveryTHGCulture Spotify: https://spotify.link/3019KhLgpybApple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast...YouTube:   https://www.youtube.com/@everythangculturepodcastPodLinks: https://pod.link/1455598116Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/everythang-culture-podcast/exclusive-content

In this episode, we discuss “Coming Up Black” in America. Growing up as a Black child can be a unique experience with challenges and opportunities. We as children may be faced with racial discrimination, prejudice, and stereotypes, which can have a lasting impact on their self-esteem and sense of identity. However, there are also many positive aspects of growing up in Black American culture, such as a strong sense of community, family values, and pride in one's heritage. We discuss growing up in neighborhoods where we experienced racism and discrimination from a young age. In the form of micro-aggressions, such as being followed around a store or being assumed to be less intelligent than their white peers. Please check out the full episode and let us know your thoughts and feelings in the comments.

Hello beautiful people! We have the pleasure of introducing you to Byanka! Byanka Danee' is an Atlanta, GA, native with a passion for creating spaces for people to live authentically. As a child growing up on the Southside of Atlanta (Clayton County), found joy in musical expression. Jazz, classical, R&B, and gospel music were her escape from a tumultuous school and home life. In high school, she was nominated to be a part of a program through the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) called the Youth Hope-Builders Academy (YHBA). It was through this program that she was surrounded by leaders in the community and in her faith that affirmed her gifts, passion, and creativity. These gifts were cultivated through her church community as well as 2 of the 14 schools she attended before graduating high school. The once shy and quiet girl became a speaker, worship leader, and mentor by 17.  Her YHBA community led her to join the ranks of scholars at the illustrious Clark Atlanta University (CAU). Through her matriculation, she and other scholars at Spelman College and Morehouse College founded Manifest - a ministry of Sisters Chapel at Spelman College. After graduating from CAU with an interdisciplinary degree in Psychology and Religion/Philosophy, she began her career in the mental health field, working in Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities. While Byanka found fulfillment in serving those that cannot advocate for themselves, there was still a need for her to use her gifts through creative expression. She founded ARtisTry - an event strategy company that focuses on event logistics, execution, and design. After several concerts, listening sessions, and tours, she branched out to provide the same services to those seeking to elevate their memories – bringing birthdays, weddings, and proposals to the next level. Today, Byanka Danee' is still focused on mental health through her work with the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities while simultaneously leading ARtisTry to the next level. She maintains her status as a truth seeker – leading a life that brings safety to those that may feel “othered” and isolated. You can find Byanka on: TikTok: @luvleeemelodieIG: @luvleemelodieTwitter: @luvleemelodieYou can find us at:Www.EverythangCulture.comIG/Facebook/Tiktok/Tumblr: @EverythangCultureTwitter: @EveryTHGCultureSpotify: https://spotify.link/0aUXvoaZOybApple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/everythang-culture/id1455598116?i=1000607845198YouTube: https://youtu.be/yvHrmv7cDAMSupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/everythang-culture-podcast/exclusive-contentSupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/everythang-culture-podcast/exclusive-content
