Welcome Graham fam! We are so glad you could watch Sunday morning online with us. IntroductionLast week we learned that we are vessels meant to be filled by God, the only one who can truly satisfy. Rejecting His filling leaves room for other things. Today, we explore “Unexpected Possessions,” uncovering how evil can hide in unexpected places and people, and the importance of guarding our hearts against it. Scripture Mark 1:21-25 1 John 4:1 2 Thessalonians 3:2-3 Luke 4:18-19 1 John 3:7-8 James 2:19 1 John 4:17-18 Sermon Points Who? What, when, where? Why? ClosingDo not be deceived; the absence of God’s presence grants evil the freedom to reign. True peace and confidence come from fully surrendering to the Lord. Perfect love casts out fear, ensuring we can face Him with confidence. Welcome back as we start chapter 6 and talk about 3 very different but very important passages of scripture. Jesus is rejected in his own home town, he sends out his disciples to minister, and John the Baptist is executed.

Welcome back as we finish up chapter 5 and see two amazing miracles that Jesus performs as a response to two very different types of faith.

Welcome Graham fam! We are so glad you could watch Sunday morning online with us. Sermon Title:Possession – 1 – Created to be Possessed We are vessels—fragile clay jars, temples of the Holy Spirit. God designed us to be constantly filled, yet nothing in this world truly satisfies. We eat, drink, learn, seek entertainment, chase purpose, and crave gratification—but the hunger remains. Why? Because we were created to be possessed. That word might sound unsettling because we often associate it with demonic possession, but in reality, God intended for us to be possessed by Him. ScriptureEphesians 3:16-191 Peter 2:91 Corinthians 6:19-20John 4:10, 13-14Ephesians 5:15-18 – Be filled with the Spirit Sermon Points1. God wants to possess you2. There is a black hole in us3. Only God can fill it4. We will be possessed by something5. The solution: Be filled with the SpiritClosingPossession is real. Satan works subtly, often through anonymity, waiting for an opening. Don't make yourself available to the enemy. You have nothing to fear when you are possessed by God. But when God is rejected, the void is left for the enemy to fill. Choose to be filled with the Holy Spirit—because you were created to be possessed. Sermon Title: A Christmas Spirit – 4 – A Spirit of the Wisemen IntroThis sermon concludes our series on having a Christmas Spirit by looking at the wise men. Just as the iconic “Christmas Song” was written to set a mood, the spirits of Mary, Joseph, and the shepherds set the stage for the first Christmas. Today, we explore how the journey and faith of the magi help us understand what it means to truly believe and prepare for Christ. Scripture– Matthew 2:1-12– Matthew 2:16– Daniel 1:20– Daniel 9:20-27– Hebrews 11:1 Sermon Points1. The mysteriousness!2. The wise men aka the 3 kings aka the magi!3. The source!4. The gifts!5. The future! ClosingThe spirit of the magi is a spirit of faith. They believed in the message passed down through generations for over 500 years. True Christmas spirit involves believing in God’s promises enough to build your life around them and preparing the next generation to be ready for Christ’s work in the world. Welcome Graham fam! We are so glad you could watch Sunday morning online with us. Introduction Thankfulness is a tool, an attitude, and an expression. It’s important to remember that thankfulness comes before the fruits of the Spirit. We are called as believers to put forth the effort to be thankful, as it precedes the development of love, joy, peace, and other spiritual fruits. Scripture References Philippians 4:4-7 I Corinthians 1:4-7 I Thessalonians 5:16-18 2 Corinthians 4:14-18 Sermon Points Thankfulness comes before love! Thankfulness comes before joy! Thankfulness comes before peace! Closing We will never have the capacity to be thankful until we take our eyes off the things of this world and fix our eyes on Jesus Christ, His kingdom, and the things of heaven to come. Thankfulness comes from faith, knowing that everything bad now will pass and the perfection and glory of Christ is coming. Thankfulness comes first, and the fruits of the Spirit will quickly follow! Welcome Graham fam! We are so glad you could watch Sunday morning online with us. Introduction:Thankfulness is a divine tool and an attitude that, through surrender to Christ, becomes an inherent part of us, overflowing as an expression of our faith. Scripture References:* Colossians 2:6-7* John 10:26-28* Ephesians 4:15* James 1:2-3* 2 Corinthians 3:18 Sermon Points:* Thankfulness results as we continue to follow!* Thankfulness results when our roots grow deep!* Thankfulness results when our faith grows! Closing:No matter what comes our way thankfulness can become a natural expression of who we are as we belong to Christ Jesus our Lord. As 2 Corinthians 3:18 states, we are changed into His glorious image, and thankfulness is one of many attributes of becoming more like Christ. Welcome Graham fam! We are so glad you could watch Sunday morning online with us. Thankfulness, as discussed last week, is a powerful tool from God for faith, worship, and giving Him glory, opening spiritual doors to our Heavenly Father. But thankfulness is also a vital attitude—a mental and emotional position, a state of readiness to respond in ways that please Christ and bring glory to His name. When thankfulness becomes an integral part of who you are, it transforms how you serve the Lord. Scripture References:* Philippians 4:6-7* Philippians 4:11-13* Colossians 3:1-4* 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Sermon Points:* Thankfulness is a form preparation!* Thankfulness is a witness!* Thankfulness sets you up for success! Closing:Thankfulness can be a conscious choice, like picking up a tool, but it also needs to become an attitude—a deliberate posture of readiness to give thanks. Are you willing to embrace this? Welcome back as we finish up the parables in chapter 4 and talk about Jesus calming the storm.

Welcome Graham fam! We are so glad you could watch Sunday morning online with us. Title: Thankfulness is a Tool Introduction:Thankfulness is an essential tool for all believers. It’s a sacrifice, a form of praise, and a key to personal growth in Jesus Christ. Just like any tool, the more you use it, the better you get with it. This sermon explores how thankfulness can be one of the greatest tools you have at your disposal and why it must be used regularly. Scripture References:* Psalm 50:14-15* 1 Timothy 4:4-5* Psalm 50:23* Psalm 100:4* Colossians 3:16-17* Colossians 4:2 Sermon Points:* Thankfulness is a form of faith!* Thankfulness enables us to worship!* Thankfulness removes a burden of responsibility! Closing:Perhaps the unfortunate circumstance of your life isn't as unfortunate as it feels right now. Perhaps the valley you are going through will be the very thing that will catapult you in your walk with Christ! Thankfulness is the very tool you need right now to see you through this very painful thing that you are enduring. Thankfulness is not something that is going to come naturally! This is not a fruit of the Spirit. Thankfulness is a commitment! You have to decide whether or not you are going to pick that tool up and use it or leave it in the toolbox and keep complaining about what you can't change. Let the Lord remove that burden from your life with a devoted thankfulness to celebrate who God is and all that he has done for you despite what you may be enduring. Welcome Graham fam! We are so glad you could watch Sunday morning online with us. IntroductionWe have been talking about receiving a new heart. You need the desire to receive it. You must decide to have the transplant. If you do, you will receive a brand new tender and responsive heart. It will not be a weak heart, but a powerful heart with a purpose! Without Christ, our hearts wander from thing to thing. We seek purpose and meaning in many places, but God offers a heart with meaning and purpose through Christ. ScriptureHebrews 8:8–12“The day is coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and Judah… I will put my laws in their minds, and I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people… And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins.” Additional Scriptures: Psalm 49:7–9; Philippians 3:7–8 Points God gives a promise! He initiated the covenant, paid the price, and offers fellowship now and forever. (Psalm 49:7–9; Philippians 3:7–8) God gives obedience! His Spirit writes His law on our hearts, transforming our desires and enabling us to live in freedom and joy. God gives fellowship! We are invited into partnership with God—sharing His purpose and experiencing true satisfaction. God gives purpose! A calling that impacts eternity and sets us free to challenge the status quo of this world for His glory. Welcome Graham fam! We are so glad you could watch Sunday morning online with us. In part two of the “New Heart” series, we explore the spiritual transplant God wants to perform in us. Just like a physical heart transplant, it's a vulnerable and life-changing process—but one that brings true healing and transformation. Scriptures: Ezekiel 36:25–27 – God promises to cleanse, renew, and fill us with His Spirit Matthew 15:18–19 – What's in the heart defiles us Leviticus 8 – Aaron and his sons are washed and prepared for service John 3:3–7 – Jesus teaches Nicodemus about being born again 2 Corinthians 3:16–18 – Transformation through the Spirit of the Lord Sermon Points: God wants to wash you clean God will take out the old heart You get a new heart and a new spirit Closing Thought:Laying on the altar for God to do heart surgery is scary—but it's necessary. What He gives is far better than what we could ever hold onto. Trust that the new heart He offers is worth the surrender. Welcome back as we start chapter 4 and begin to discuss the only parables that Mark gives us in his Gospels.

Welcome Graham fam! We are so glad you could watch Sunday morning online with us. A New Heart – The DesireIn this message, we explore the deep need for a new heart from God—a heart that desires Him above all else. Many want to follow God but still cling to the world. True transformation begins with surrender and a cry for renewal. Scriptures: * Psalm 51:7–12 – David's plea for cleansing and restoration* Psalm 19:12–13 – Acknowledging hidden faults and asking for protection from deliberate sin* Psalm 139:23–24 – Inviting God to search and purify the heart* Galatians 6:15 – What matters is being a new creation* Romans 6:3–4 – Living a new life through Christ* 2 Corinthians 5:16–17 – Becoming a new person in Christ Sermon Points: 1. Acknowledge the sin (or at least the potential of it)!2. You must desire to become new!3. It doesn't matter if you are saved or not! Faith is the key. Whether you're just beginning your walk or have followed Christ for years, ask Him to give you a new heart. Introduction Guard the unity of the Body of Christ with your life. Unity is sacred and must be protected from division. Main Scripture Ephesians 4:1–6 – Unity in the Body Point 1: We must live worthily! Live a life worthy of your calling. Unity requires holiness and the presence of the Holy Spirit. Supporting Scripture: I John 1:7 Point 2: Brothers and sisters in Christ must be a priority! Be humble, gentle, patient, forgiving, and loving. Treat fellow believers as family. Supporting Scripture: I Peter 3:8–9 Point 3: Make every effort to be united! Unity must be in the Holy Spirit. Peace is a gift—cherish it. Supporting Scripture: Psalm 133:1–3 Closing Unity is your testimony. Let the Holy Spirit reign in your life.Supporting Scripture: I Corinthians 1:10

Welcome Graham fam! We are so glad you could watch Sunday morning online with us. In this message, we explore the importance of valuing the differences in others to build a strong, unified church that glorifies God. Key Scripture Romans 14:19-22 Romans 15:1-9 Sermon Outline You Must Aim for Harmony! Just like any skill, creating harmony and unity within the church requires intentionality and focus. If you don’t aim for it, you won’t achieve it. Every action, word, and thought matters in building each other up. If You Tear Others Down, You Tear God’s Work Down! Everyone is made in the image of God. When we attack fellow believers over differences, we risk tearing apart the very work of God. Instead of tearing them down, we should pray for them, lifting them up so they can serve God faithfully. Scripture Reference: Mark 9:38-40 Our Desire Should Be to Help! When disagreements arise, our first instinct should be to help, not to correct with a prideful attitude. We are called to come alongside others with humility to build them up in their walk with Christ. Scripture Reference: Galatians 6:3 We Must Accept One Another! Following Christ’s example, we are called to accept each other, not based on uniformity, but on our shared faith. This acceptance creates an environment where we can live in harmony, join together in one voice, and serve one another effectively. Our Differences Are a Blessing! God created each of us to be unique. Our different backgrounds, stories, and qualities are not mistakes; they are blessings designed to bring glory and honor to His name. These differences allow us to reach people for Christ in ways no one else can. Closing Thought Our greatest witness to the world is not an absence of differences, but the power of God to unite incredibly different people into one body with one voice to glorify Him. Introduction We are talking about unity! Last week we talked about how important it was to work together. God has designed Christianity to be done with others and never intended it to be done alone. It is meant to be done together as a family, as a church, as a community, and as a nation of people who believe in Jesus! The absence of disagreements is not a testimony to the world—the testimony is the manner in which we deal with disagreements. Therefore, we need to maturely disagree! Scripture Reading Romans 14:1-13 – The Danger of Criticism Accept other believers who are weak in faith, and don't argue with them about what they think is right or wrong…(Full passage: Romans 14:1-13) Main Points 1. Jesus is enough! Eternal life comes only through Jesus—not our convictions or deeds. Convictions, doctrines, and obedience matter, but they do not save us. Salvation is by grace through faith in Christ alone. Supporting Scripture: Luke 18 – The tax collector's prayer for mercy 2 Corinthians 12:8-10 – “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” 2. There are infinite things to disagree on! From food, to worship days, to doctrines, to personal convictions—even the color of the carpet! Disagreements are inevitable, but they should not divide us. Stand firm on the core truths of the Gospel, but show grace in non-essentials. Supporting Scripture: 2 Timothy 2:23-26 – “Don't get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights.” 3. The way we disagree should be a witness! The absence of disagreement is not reality; maturity in disagreement is the true testimony. How we handle conflict impacts those inside and outside the church. Show kindness, forgiveness, and grace. Supporting Scripture: Ephesians 4:30-32 – “Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger… Instead, be kind to each other.” Closing We can't expect each other to be perfect, but we can expect each other to love, support, and be mature in our disagreements. This will be one of the greatest testimonies you ever give! Welcome Graham fam! We are so glad you could watch Sunday morning online with us. Introduction:As Christians, we are called to unity with fellow believers. Unity is a defining trait of a mature Christian and a healthy church. Scripture References: John 17:20-21 Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 John 13:34-35 Galatians 6:10 Romans 12:10-11 Matthew 18:19-20 Sermon Points: We were never meant to follow Jesus alone!God has always called His people to follow Him in community. The church must reflect this calling by caring deeply for one another. We need to get in the trenches together!True unity is forged through shared experiences—working, suffering, and celebrating together in Christ. There are strength in numbers!Surround yourself with believers. Unity brings strength, power, and obedience to Christ's calling. Closing:Matthew 18:19-20 reminds us of the power of gathering in unity. Imagine the strength and presence of God in your life if you walked in unity with others throughout the week. Welcome Graham fam! We are so glad you could watch Sunday morning online with us. In Week 4 of our “New Things” series, we explore how God does new works through unexpected people and methods. From Samson's jawbone to a nameless usher at a revival—God's power is what matters, not the tool. Scripture Focus: Judges 15:9–17 – “The Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon Samson… he picked up the jawbone of a donkey and killed 1,000 Philistines.” 1 Corinthians 12:4–6 – “There are different kinds of spiritual gifts… but the same God who does the work in all of us.” Main Points: – God works in mysterious ways! – The spirit's anointing was on Samson, not the Jawbone! – Samson threw the Jawbone away! Closing Thought: Don't idolize the method—honor the Spirit behind the work. God may use you in a way that seems small or strange, but it could lead to a harvest beyond imagination. Be faithful, be available, and let God do something new through you. Welcome Graham fam! We are so glad you could watch Sunday morning online with us. In Week 3 of our “New Things” series, we explore how God uses new methods to accomplish His will. From the flood to Pentecost, from prophets to Christ Himself—God's ways are often unexpected, but always purposeful. Scripture Focus: Hebrews 1:1–4 – “Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways… now he has spoken to us through his Son.” John 12:37 – “Despite all the miraculous signs… most of the people still did not believe.” John 7:12–13 – “Some argued, ‘He's a good man,' but others said, ‘He's nothing but a fraud…'” James 1:5 – “If you need wisdom, ask our generous God…” Acts 5:38–39 – “If it is from God, you will not be able to overthrow them…” Main Points: 1. Know how God has moved in the past! 2. Christ was a drastic method! 3. Prayerfully consider all! 4. God's methods lead to the same thing! Closing Thought: God's methods may look different, but His signature is always present. Be ready to see, hear, and respond to what He's doing—even when it's not what you expected. As we finish up chapter 2 today we will talk about two unique encounters that Jesus has with people who do not understand why he is doing what he is doing. Scriptures Covered: Isaiah 43:18–21 Jeremiah 29:11–13 Proverbs 3:5–6 Proverbs 16:9 Psalm 119:105 Main Points: Move on from the Past! God wants us to see! God's paths will not make sense to the world! God's paths lead to the same place! Closing Thought: God's Word lights the path He's already prepared for you. Today we are starting chapter 2 and looking at two wonderful passages of the love of Jesus and his willingness to heal and call all of us who are broken and sinful.

This week we begin our “New Things” series by focusing on the transformation God desires for each of us. Becoming a new creation isn't about earning salvation—it's about glorifying God through a changed life. Learn how surrender leads to spiritual renewal and obedience. Key Scriptures: Ezekiel 36:22–27 Romans 6:4 2 Corinthians 5:17 Hebrews 8:10 Colossians 3:9–11 Main Points: We are not new creations because we deserve it! We are new creations to reveal God's holiness! We will receive new hearts and new spirits! We will be new so that we can follow and obey! Reflection: Are you living as a new creation, or still stuck in the old self? God has already placed the truth in your heart—now it's time to respond. Today we will finish up chapter 1 as Mark begins to present Jesus as this wonderful, caring, and compassionate Savior. Jesus is a man who has power and authority over the physical and the spiritual!

Welcome Graham fam! We are so glad you could watch Sunday morning online with us. In this final installment of our “Why Church?” series, we focus on spiritual growth. God has given gifts to the church—leaders, teachers, and community—to help us grow in faith and maturity. Church isn't just a place to attend; it's where we are equipped, challenged, and supported in our walk with Christ. Key Scriptures: Ephesians 4:11–16 1 Timothy 4:14–15 Hebrews 10:24–25 2 Peter 3:17–18 Main Points: Jesus has given gifts to the church to help with spiritual growth! God's people are called to do his work and build up the church! Know what Christ's goal is for the Church! Reflection: Are you growing spiritually? Are you connected to the Body of Christ in a way that challenges and encourages you? Don't let isolation stunt your growth. Let the church be the place where Jesus helps you mature. Welcome back as we begin reading the in the Gospel of Mark. Today we will cover the first half of the chapter as John Mark jumps right into John the Baptist preparing the way for the ministry of Jesus to begin.

We are starting the Gospel of Mark and are excited for you to join us as we intro this beautiful Gospel according to John Mark. Over the next several weeks we will be looking at the raw and wild side of Jesus that we don’t get to see in the other 3 Gospels.

Join us one final time to finish up the book of Galatians as Paul talks about us harvesting what we plant and then closes up this letter with a final bit of advice.

Welcome back as we finish up chapter 5 and talk about Living by the Holy Spirit’s Power. This is a wonderful passage of scripture and I believe it will help anyone that may be frustrated in their relationship with Christ.

Welcome back as we begin chapter 5 and talk about this wonderful freedom that we have in Christ.

Join us today as we finish up chapter 4 with this short study on 11 verses. Paul uses this great analogy of Abraham’s two sons to describe the opposing groups in this dispute.

This week in our “Why Church?” series, we focus on the call to serve. Serving others is not just a good idea—it's a Christ-centered command. Jesus didn't come to be served, but to serve. And He calls us to do the same. Church is where we learn, practice, and grow in this calling. Key Scriptures: Mark 9:34–35 John 13:12–17 Galatians 5:13 1 Peter 4:8–10 Mark 10:45 Philippians 2:5–8 Main Points (verbatim): Our sinful nature wants to be served! The New Testament constantly challenges all believers to serve! Jesus set the example by serving us first! Reflection: Are you living like Jesus? Are you serving others with the gifts God has given you? Church is the best place to start. Let the Holy Spirit lead you into a life of joyful service. This week, we continue our “Why Church?” series by focusing on the power and purpose of fellowship. From the early church in Acts to the Spirit-filled community we're called to today, God has always intended for His people to walk together. Fellowship isn't optional—it's foundational. Key Scriptures: Acts 2:42–47 1 John 1:6–7 Deuteronomy 7:6–7 Matthew 18:20 2 Corinthians 13:14 1 Corinthians 15:33 Main Points (as delivered): God has always intended to bring his people together! God wants fellowship with you! God never intended for us to make this journey alone! You will find fellowship somewhere! Reflection:Do you really trust Jesus with your relationships? Are you willing to surrender your social circles to follow Him more closely? Let this message challenge and encourage you to commit to true, Christ-centered fellowship. Welcome Graham fam! We are so glad you could watch Sunday morning online with us. Series: Why Church? | Week 1 Introduction: Many people question the importance of church. This series explores why church matters—starting with worship. Today's focus: Worship as preparation for eternity. Scripture References: John 16:5–9 – Jesus promises the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:1–4, 41 – The Holy Spirit comes and the Church is born. John 18:20 – Jesus worshiped publicly. Matthew 5:31–32 – Jesus came for the spiritually sick. Revelation 5:11–14; 7:11 – Heaven is filled with corporate worship. Main Points: You Can Never Replace Personal Worship Personal worship is vital and affects corporate worship. You can feel close to God in nature, but that doesn't replace gathering with others. Jesus Led by Example Jesus regularly worshiped in synagogues and the temple. He never asked us to do anything He didn't do Himself. You Can't Replace Corporate Worship Church is God's design for believers to grow, serve, and worship together. It's not about perfection—it's about surrender and transformation. Church prepares us for eternity. Heaven Is Described with Corporate Worship Revelation shows heaven as a place of unified, eternal worship. If we desire heaven, we should desire worship with others now. Closing: Worship in church is a glimpse of what's to come. Church is preparation for eternity. If church feels unappealing, it may reflect a heart issue. Pray for surrender—yours and others'. Welcome Graham fam! We are so glad you could watch Sunday morning online with us. Introduction: Final week of the Prodigal Son series. Focus: The older brother's reaction and the importance of humility and joy. The Father celebrates the return of the lost son, but the older brother refuses to join. Scripture:Luke 15:11–32 Main Points: The Unfaithful Son Was Celebrated The younger son sinned, squandered his inheritance, and returned in brokenness. The Father (God) forgave and celebrated him—not because he deserved it, but because He could. Forgiveness and restoration are God's to give, not ours to withhold. We must not let our sense of justice override God's mercy. The Faithful Son Was Uncelebrated The older brother kept score and felt overlooked. Faithfulness doesn't always come with immediate recognition or reward. Our reward is eternal, not earthly. True humility accepts God's mercy for others, even when we don't understand it. Celebrate with Joy The older brother obeyed out of obligation, not joy. When our hearts align with God's, we celebrate what He celebrates. Spirit-filled living leads to joyful obedience, not resentment. A true child of God rejoices when the lost are found. Closing: Be humble. Rejoice when others return to the Father—because that is His will. Luke 15:31 – “Everything I have is yours.” God sees your faithfulness and will reward you in His time. Welcome Graham fam! We are so glad you could watch Sunday morning online with us. Introduction: Week 2 of the Prodigal Son series. Last week: God desires our return. This week: Even if the return isn't perfect, a win is still a win. Scripture:Luke 15:11–32 Main Points: Things Get Worse Before They Get Better The younger son dishonors his father, leaves home, and lives in sin. Sin leads to destruction and despair (Proverbs 14:12). God allows us to experience the consequences of our choices to bring us back. People Are Naturally Selfish—Even With God The son returns not out of love, but out of desperation. Many of us come to God for selfish reasons—but that's okay. Over time, love and relationship grow from that decision. A win is a win—even if it starts messy. The Father Doesn't Care—He Just Wants You Home The father runs to the son before he says a word. God celebrates our return, no matter how broken or selfish it may seem. Confession is still important (1 John 1:9)—saying it out loud brings healing and clarity. Closing: Pray for the win! Zephaniah 3:17–20: God rejoices over us and restores us. Jesus has already won—we share in His victory. It may not look perfect, but if someone returns to God, it's a win. Today Paul continues his message from chapter 3 as he is warning the Galatians of how dangerous it is to try to live by the Law of Moses. Join us as we talk more about what it means to be a true child of God and how important it is to put Jesus first in all things.

Welcome back as Paul gives us great advice on what is to be done with the Law of Moses. If put first it condemns us. If we keep Christ first, it is beneficial and helps us. Join us as we learn where this Law fits into our walks with Christ.

Welcome Graham fam! We are so glad you could watch Sunday morning online with us. Sermon Title: Prodigal Son – ReturningSeries: The Prodigal Son | Week 1Occasion: Father's Day Introduction: Launching a new series on the Parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11–32). The word “prodigal” originally meant “one who returns.” The father in the parable shows great faith by letting his son go, hoping he would return. Scripture:Luke 15:11–32 Main Points: Sin Brings Poor Decisions and Difficult Circumstances The younger son's request was selfish and dishonorable. He squandered his inheritance in wild living and ended up in desperation. Galatians 6:7–8 – We reap what we sow. Sin affects not only the sinner but also those around them. God Will Turn You Loose The father (representing God) allows the son to leave and make his own choices. God doesn't force anyone to stay—He honors our free will. Isaiah 53:6 – We all, like sheep, have gone astray. Sometimes people must be allowed to feel the weight of life without God. God Will Let You Taste What You Ask For The son had to experience the full consequences of his choices before he could return. God allows us to feel the emptiness of sin so we'll long for His presence. Heaven is not for those who reject God—it's for those who return to Him. Closing: If God can't bring them back, what makes you think you can? God wants us to come back. The story of the Prodigal Son is the story of all humanity—starting in Genesis 3. Don't be afraid to let go of someone you love. Trust that God is able to bring them back. Welcome Graham fam! We are so glad you could watch Sunday morning online with us. Introduction: Final week of the “Dealing With Conflict” series. Recap: Conflict is unavoidable, should be private (within reason), and we must remain faithful through it. Today's focus: God can use even evil or painful situations for good. Scripture: Acts 15:36–41 (Paul and Barnabas' sharp disagreement) Main Points: God Can Use Discouragement to Bring About Passion Paul and Barnabas' split led to the Gospel spreading in two directions. Personal testimony: God uses transitions and separations to expand His Kingdom. Psalm 119:71 – Suffering teaches us to pay attention to God's ways. Discouragement can fuel a deeper passion for doing what's right. God Can Use Division to Bring About Unity Though divided over John Mark, Paul and Barnabas remained united in Christ. Hebrews 12:14–15 – Work for peace and guard against bitterness. Healthy conflict, when handled biblically, can strengthen relationships and unity. God Can Use Failure to Bring About Restoration John Mark failed early but was later restored and became valuable to Paul. 2 Timothy 4:9–11 & Colossians 4:10 – Paul requests Mark's presence and affirms his ministry. Never write someone off—God can redeem and restore anyone. Closing: God can use anything—good or bad—for His glory and your growth. There was no clear “winner” in the conflict between Paul and Barnabas—both had valid perspectives. Let Jesus define you, not your conflict.
