The sermon delivers a urgent, pastoral call to spiritual vigilance, emphasizing that the Christian life is a continuous battle against the devil, not a passive existence of comfort or self-fulfillment. Grounded in Scripture—James 4:7, 1 Peter 5:8, Ephesians 6:11–12, and Revelation 12:11—it affirms that believers must actively resist Satan, who operates through subtle deception, modern distractions, and worldly compromise. The preacher warns against the dangers of complacency, moral relativism, and the erosion of biblical authority, particularly in the face of digital temptations like pornography and the proliferation of ungodly voices on social media. He stresses that victory comes not through human effort but through the blood of Christ, the Word of God, and steadfast faith, urging believers to put on the full armor of God, guard their minds, and courageously oppose evil with both defense and offense. Ultimately, the sermon challenges every Christian to live with awareness, discernment, and resolve, recognizing that the fight is real, ongoing, and essential to enduring faith.

In this Abounding Love episode, I continue a six (6) part series on "Steps to Your Ministry." We need to realize each of us has a ministry that Jesus has anointed us to carry out. We are the body of Christ and as such God works through us to do His work on earth. In Step #1, on "Dedication," I referenced Psalm 37:5. We're to COMMIT our way [to roll it over on] the LORD, also TRUST in Him, that He will bring it to pass [also Proverbs 3:5-6]. In this "Steps to Your Ministry #2," I share on "Your Purpose" to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ -- His righteousness, peace and joy. A definition of "dedication" is "having a definite purpose." As the body of Christ, our purpose is to put the Word of God into the world. Singleness of purpose yields the results we are aiming at, that is, to do away with the works of the devil. Prayer, praise and the study of God's Word serves our divine purpose. We not only need a purpose, but definite goals in our ministry to yield results. Join me as we look at five (5) goals with Scripture [James 1:5-8; Matthew 5:13-16; 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-18 and Isaiah 50:4-7] to see how we can get results from the purpose of your ministry. Selah! Big Idea: Asking for God's wisdom is essential for how I live my life. This Sunday, we studied James 1:5–8 and learned that God gives wisdom—willingly, generously, and without reproach—to those who ask in faith. In a world full of uncertainty, we're reminded that we don't have to figure it out on our own. God is ready to guide us if we'll simply ask and trust Him.If you're navigating decisions, challenges, or just trying to live with clarity—this message is for you.
