Jeff Bezos had a 10-year plan when he first created Amazon. He didn't focus on selling books, toys, gadgets, or any other items. He recognized that individual products go in and out of style, but he wanted the company to focus on things that would almost never go out of style. As a result, he directed his company to always focus on what would always be popular: fast-shipping and low prices. How does that translate into your business? Are you focused on selling a specific product, or are you focused on the bigger picture of what will never go out of style, and adjusting your product offerings as times change? In this episode, Coach George Wang is going to talk about 3 business areas that I think will never go out of style, as well as how you might be able to take advantage of them. By the end, you'll fully grasp this concept and be able to apply the lessons in your own business.Listen now!

Mr. Rogers was an icon for a lot of us. We all remember his songs, the sweater, and of course, all the lessons he taught us. While there were a lot of lessons we learned from him on camera as children, there are a few lessons we can learn as adults from what transpired in his life off cameraThe first is a lesson in following your purpose in life vs following your passion, and how Mr. Rogers was able to follow his purpose in life and infuse his passion into it.Another lesson is one in business. Today, we hardly see or hear of anything related to him anymore, and that's because he had a few very specific rules about advertising and marketing. Unfortunately, these rules made it so that children growing up today will never grow up with the wonderful lessons he taught so many.In this episode, Coach George Wang goes in depth about these 2 lessons. Why you need to follow your purpose as opposed to your passion, and the choice he made that is preventing children today from hearing his message.Listen now!Show Notes: CoachGeorgeWang.com/90
Want a specific result, give specific directionsHow do you get others to take the specific actions you want – The answer is pretty simple, give them specific directions Too often though, we give vague instructions or vague requests, and are frustrated when we don't get the result we want. There's a cognitive bias called the false consensus effect which is the tendency for people to think that other people think like that. They think others have the same beliefs and would take the same actions in any given scenario. This is why we sometimes give vague instructions or vague requests, think “it's common sense” how it should be done. This is false, and in this episode, we're going to talk about this effect and how to instead of letting it hinder us, use it to understand others and how they think.Listen Now!Show Notes: CoachGeorgeWang.com/89

Living by design means living life consciously and deliberately chosen by you, not based on what society or your parents or the media tell you. Today’s guest, Johnny Elsasser, came to that conclusion for himself upon returning to the U.S. after serving in the military. As an army ranger, he served several combat tours in the early 2000s at the highest levels. Then, at the age of 28, he found himself a civilian once again, one without purpose or mission for the first time in a decade. When realizing he wasn’t the only man in the world who felt this way, he started on a new journey where it became his purpose to aid other men in finding theirs. Johnny talks with Coach George Wang about living in authenticity, what tools you can use to help yourself, and the role that leadership plays as far as the impact you have in the world. It’s through fulfilling your purpose through effective leadership that you reach true fulfillment within yourself. Listen NowShow Notes: CoachGeorgeWang.com/49
Financial Independence, Retire Early--that’s the dream, right? It’s also a movement, one that this week’s guest lives by. Ironically, Max Lee already achieved the FIRE dream a few years before even hearing about the movement. He didn’t start off with a silver spoon in his mouth, either. Based in Florida, he might have been content to spend his days continuing to ply his musician trade. His wife, however, encouraged him to open a real estate investment firm together. He agreed, collecting rental properties and doing some fix n’ flips. Now they’ve built up enough passive income to take care of the mortgage and food while each following their individual passions (and for Max, that still includes music). This is the power of FIRE! But what does FIRE actually mean, and what does it look like in his life? Here’s the story of a musician who achieved financial success in a completely unrelated field within three years.Listen Now!Show Notes: CoachGeorgeWang.com/48
