We talk about how Neil at first took Geography in School as one of his A-levels, even though he eventually became a financial advisor and now has his own book and company (Money Tipps). One of the key ideas of this podcast would be the idea of time. We always hear this stereotype that we have no time and we have to work as hard as we can; otherwise we will fail and not live the best life we can. However Neil and I discussed we have A LOT of time to fulfil all of our needs. However, the most important point is that we realize we have the time, but we waste it on things we regret in the future. So make the best use of your time, and realize that you can create your best self without hurrying just like Neil Doig has done! Therefore he started reading up about investing strategies from the greats of the stock market. In this episode we discussed why investing in the long-run is the best course to make the most money, why dividend stocks are simplistic and perfect for a beginner, and why day trading might not be the best fit for everyone. We both resonated that we have been told to not advise the youngsters about investing as people from a younger generation. But, investing into stocks at a young age IS the recipe to success.
