Poets are not for consumption. Artists are not slaves to praise with mediocre fame (=emotional greed). Poets and Artists create the civilizations and cultures that fill up our history books. They do not deserve to die in abject fame or poverty. They deserve reverence, intimacy and respect. They deserve to be our beloved teachers again, not pop stars we will consume and reject once all radiance has been sucked out of them. The Poetical Manifesto is the Artist's Manifesto.
