Many of us have a faulty perception. We think that redemption works like a checking account—make as many deposits as we can and when we come up short, borrow what we need from Jesus to make up the difference. The truth is - we make no deposits, and we need no loans. We have been redeemed by Him. He paid the price and the ransom for our souls—all of it, in full, for all of us—with His blood. Living the gospel of Jesus Christ is not about earning our salvation, a concept that only leads to frustration and failure. Living the gospel of Jesus Christ is about choosing daily to qualify for His gift that He freely offers us, by relying wholly on Him. The gospel is a system of redemption. The gospel is not a system to promote the assimilation of virtuous habits and the accumulation of good deeds—all people can achieve worthy goals and live good lives. In Redeemed Through His Blood, we learn how others have experienced redemption and we discuss how each of us may access the power of Christ and His Atonement, which will bring His joy and His peace into our lives.

What does real faith look like—and how can it become a transforming power in your life? In this episode of Redeemed Through His Blood, Scott and Deb dive deep into the doctrine of faith in Jesus Christ. Far from being passive belief, faith is portrayed here as a relational, responsive trust that moves us to act—even when we don't see the outcome. Drawing on personal experiences, scriptures, and gospel teachings, they explore what it means to trust the Savior enough to move forward in uncertainty.Scott and Deb reflect on the idea that true faith isn't just about outcomes—it's about becoming. As we choose to believe Christ, follow Him, and act on His promises, our faith opens the door to His enabling, strengthening, and transforming grace. This episode will help you see faith not as a checklist item, but as a way of life that connects you to divine power, especially when the path is unclear.
In this episode, Scott and Deb go beyond the outward signs of rebellion to explore the roots beneath: fear and pride. While we often focus on the visible “fruit” of sin, the Savior is gently inviting us to dig deeper. Fear isolates us, pride hardens us, and both quietly keep us from receiving the healing and connection we long for.Through scripture, story, and soul-level honesty, Scott and Deb invite us to recognize these hidden roots and begin to surrender them. This isn't just about behavior change—it's about trusting Christ enough to let Him transform what lies beneath.
In this powerful season opener of Redeemed Through His Blood, Scott and Deb take us deep into the heart of our fallen condition—and the Savior's invitation to let go of the things that keep us from Him. Drawing from Alma 23 and personal reflection, they explore what it means to bury not just obvious sins, but the subtle, spiritual weapons of rebellion that linger in our lives: pride, fear, resentment, control, shame, self-condemnation, and more. This conversation is raw, honest, and hopeful. It's about recognizing our resistance to God's grace and learning to lay it down—not through willpower alone, but by surrendering to Christ. If you've ever struggled with perfectionism, passivity, or pain that pulls you away from God, this episode will speak directly to your heart. Come join us as we learn to bury our weapons—and become new through Him.

With tender reflections on repentance, surrender, and the role of agency, they remind us that the Fall was not a mistake, but part of a divine plan—designed to lead us back to Him.
In this heartfelt episode, Scott and Deb dive deep into the doctrine of the Fall of Adam and Eve—not as a story of shame, but as the essential backdrop to healing, growth, and redemption. You'll hear about spiritual identity, the "gift of desperation," and how remembering who we truly are can shift how we experience our most difficult days. They also discuss personal experiences with addiction recovery, emotional strain, and road rage—yes, road rage!—as they unpack how knowing the plan of salvation helps us show more compassion to ourselves and others.
