Pastor Neil continues the "GIVE ME THE FREEDOM" series with Part 2 of “FREEDOM THAT TRULY FREES US” from Galatians 5:13–15 God has called us to freedom, but true freedom is not about living for ourselves. It is about using the freedom Christ has given us to love and serve others. This message continues the challenge to put aside selfishness, walk in love and live out the freedom we have been given through Christ.

Just like ancient Corinth, our culture promises status, significance, and self-reliance—yet true freedom is found only at the foot of the cross. Discover how a bigger view of Jesus dismantles division, humbles our pride, and frees us from the pressure to be impressive.

How we manage time is really how we manage ourselves. In this conversation, Neal and I explore a key question to help us shift from ordinary to exceptional. Key Points Swirling shows up for all of us when we ruminate on an interaction in a way that's not helpful. Most people don't think to ask about others' intent. The key question to shift our thinking: “What's the intent?” Ordinary thinking goes with the flow. Exceptional thinking pauses and allows us to consider the intent behind the interaction. To free time each day, pause before responding in a complex situation and ask yourself, “What's the intent?” This question becomes powerful when you can ask and answer yourself without needing to say it out loud. Thirteen months after admitting under oath that he deliberately killed four University of Idaho students, Bryan Kohberger claims a book convinced him he's innocent. His petition points to evidence in Ethan Chapin's hand that he says was never disclosed — but unsealed documents show a defense expert already tested it, and it matched the victim. Retired FBI agent Jennifer Coffindaffer walks through what the petition actually says versus what the forensic record contains, why Kohberger's language mirrors a published book rather than legal filings, and the one procedural move that would make or break his case: whether former defense attorney Anne Taylor admits under oath that she failed her client. The families were promised no more appeals. Prosecutor Bill Thompson put that in writing. That promise was never his to make.LinksJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Shame says that we are unworthy and can never be accepted. Pride says that we are sufficient and do not need anyone's help. While they appear to be opposite struggles, both seek identity and worth apart from Jesus Christ. In this episode of Anchored in the Word, Dave Jenkins explains from Romans 3:22–24 how the gospel humbles human pride while healing the shame of repentant sinners. All people have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, leaving no room for boasting. Yet believers are justified freely by God's grace through the redemption accomplished by Christ. The cross exposes the seriousness of our sin and displays the greatness of God's grace. Because Christ bore the guilt and condemnation His people deserve, Christians no longer need to prove themselves through pride or hide themselves in shame. If you feel like you should be hiring, delegating, or building a team but your numbers aren't reflecting that growth, this episode is going to challenge that decision. In this episode of The Real Truth About Business podcast, I'm breaking down why outsourcing too soon is one of the fastest ways to hurt your profitability and stall your business strategy. This is for service-based entrepreneurs who are stuck in a revenue plateau, feeling overwhelmed, and thinking the solution is to hire more help. After 9 years of experience, I can tell you that's not always the answer. Inside this episode, I walk you through when outsourcing actually makes sense, how to identify real bottlenecks in your pipeline and sales process, and how to protect your profit while still scaling your business. What You'll Learn:Why outsourcing too soon can decrease your profit instead of increasing itHow to identify whether you need strategy or support in your businessThe difference between hiring for capacity vs hiring for statusHow to determine if something is actually worth delegatingWhy understanding your sales process and pipeline matters before hiringHow to make outsourcing decisions that support real revenue growthEpisode Highlights:[00:00] Introduction: The “hire more” message in the online space[03:00] Why outsourcing has become a status symbol[06:00] Profit vs workload: what actually matters[10:00] Real example: paying a team but not paying yourself[14:00] Why doing everything yourself can reveal what actually matters[18:00] The danger of outsourcing without understanding strategy[21:00] Identifying real bottlenecks in your business[24:00] When outsourcing actually makes sense[26:00] Final thoughts on hiring strategicallyKey Takeaways:Hiring Does Not Automatically Mean GrowthHere's what I see constantly. Business owners assuming that hiring is the next step to scale. After 9 years of working with service-based entrepreneurs, I can tell you that's not always true.Hiring without strategy does not create growth. It creates expense. You can have a full team and still not be profitable. And that's the part no one talks about.A profitable solo business will always outperform an unprofitable business with multiple contractors.Profit Should Always Be the PriorityOutsourcing should increase your profitability, not just decrease your workload. That's the standard. If hiring someone is not:Creating more revenueIncreasing your capacity to sellImproving your conversion rateThen it's not supporting your business growth.Inside the Focused Visionary Framework, this directly impacts your Pricing and Pipeline pillars. Because every expense you add affects your bottom line. Most People Don't Know What They're Actually OutsourcingThis is one of the biggest issues. You hire someone because:You don't like doing itIt takes too longSomeone told you toBut you haven't asked:Do I even need this? When you don't understand the strategy behind what you're outsourcing, you also don't know:What success looks likeWhat ROI should beWhether it's actually workingAnd that's how money gets wasted. You Might Not Be as Busy as You ThinkThis one might sting a little. Most service-based entrepreneurs are not overwhelmed with essential work. They're overwhelmed with unnecessary work. That could look like:Creating content that doesn't convertBeing on platforms that don't bring clientsOvercomplicating your marketingWhen you strip your business back to what actually drives revenue growth, you often realize you don't need as much help as you thought.Hire to Solve a Bottleneck, Not a FeelingThis is the shift. You don't hire because you feel overwhelmed. You hire because you've identified a specific bottleneck:You're at capacity with clientsYou can't take on more sales callsA repeatable process is slowing you downWhen you know exactly what the problem is, you can hire the right support to fix it.That's how outsourcing strengthens your sales process instead of complicating it.Strategy Comes Before SupportThis is one of the most important takeaways. If your pipeline isn't working, hiring someone to bring in more leads won't fix it.If your conversion rate is low, more visibility won't fix it.You need to understand:Where your leads are coming fromHow they're moving through your sales processWhere they're getting stuckOnly then does outsourcing make sense.Otherwise, you're just adding more activity without improving results. You Need to Know If You Need Brains or HandsThis is the simplest way to look at it.Do you need:Strategy (brains)Execution (hands)Most people hire hands when they actually need brains. They hire someone to do the work before they understand what the work should be.And that disconnect is what leads to wasted time, money, and energy.Smart Outsourcing Supports Sustainable GrowthOutsourcing is not the problem.Timing is.When done correctly, outsourcing:Frees up your time for revenue-generating activitiesStrengthens your pipelineImproves your sales processIncreases your profitBut when done too soon, it does the opposite. That's why this decision matters so much.Because the goal is not just to grow your business. It's to grow it profitably.Resources MentionedSubscribe to Back Pocket Insights for FREEBook a CEO Strategy Call Learn more about The Missing Piece IntensiveLearn more about The Focused Visionary AcceleratorDownload the FREE Lead and Conversion TrackerSubscribe to the Sunday Morning Brew NewsletterAbout the Host:Michelle DeNio is a business strategist based in Sarasota, Florida, specializing in helping service-based entrepreneurs break through revenue plateaus using her Focused Visionary Framework. The Gospel Frees Us from Shame and Pride Shame tells us that we are unworthy and can never be accepted. Pride tells us that we are sufficient and do not need help. Although these struggles appear to be opposites, both seek identity and worth apart from Jesus Christ. Listen or Watch The Gospel Confronts Pride and Heals Shame In this episode of Anchored in the Word, Dave Jenkins explains from Romans 3:22–24 how the gospel humbles human pride while healing the shame of repentant sinners. Every person has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, leaving no room for boasting before Him. Yet sinners are justified freely by God's grace through the redemption accomplished by Jesus Christ. Shame says, “I am not enough. I am unworthy. I can never be accepted.” Pride says, “I am enough. I do not need help. I can stand on my own strength.” Both struggles direct our attention inward and attempt to establish identity apart from the worthiness and sufficiency of Christ. The gospel points believers away from personal performance and toward Jesus Christ alone. Christians are not accepted by God because they are worthy in themselves. They are accepted because of the perfect righteousness of Christ and His finished work on their behalf. The Grace of Justification “The righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.” Romans 3:22–24 Justification is God's legal declaration that a sinner is righteous before Him. This declaration is not based on human merit, religious effort, morality, or achievement. It rests entirely on the righteousness of Christ credited to believers through faith. The cross tells us that our sin is far worse than we imagined and that God's grace is far greater than we dared hope. The gospel therefore leaves no room for boasting and no reason for despair. How the Gospel Frees Believers Stop Grounding Your Identity in Performance Your identity is not determined by your greatest success or your deepest failure. The Christian's worth is found in the worthiness and sufficiency of Jesus Christ alone. Confess Sin Honestly The gospel enables believers to confess their sin without hiding behind pride or drowning in shame. Christians can walk in repentance because forgiveness and restoration are found in Christ. Rest in the Finished Work of Christ Because of Jesus, believers are forgiven, accepted, and loved by God. At the cross, Christ bore the guilt and condemnation His people deserved. Through His death and resurrection, He accomplished redemption and reconciliation for them. Episode Highlights Shame and pride both seek identity apart from Jesus Christ. Human sinfulness eliminates every reason for boasting before God. Justification is a gift of God's grace through Christ alone. The gospel destroys self-righteousness without leaving sinners in despair. Christian identity rests in Christ rather than personal performance. The cross is where both shame and pride are defeated. Send us Fan MailMatthew 6:25–32Anxiety may visit your heart, knock loudly and return repeatedly—but it does not have to sit on the throne. In Matthew 6, Jesus does not deny that our needs are real. He does not tell us to ignore our responsibilities, stop planning or pretend that everything is fine. Instead, He directs our attention to the faithful care of our heavenly Father.Jesus reminds us:Your life is greater than the problem you are facing. The Father who feeds the birds and clothes the flowers has not forgotten you.Your heavenly Father already knows what you need.Faith does not mean that we will never feel afraid. Faith means bringing our fears to the Father rather than allowing them to become our master. The gospel does not say, “Stop worrying so that God will accept you.”The gospel says, “Because you are accepted through Christ, you can bring your worries honestly to the Father.”Jesus does not merely tell anxious people to calm down. Through His death and resurrection, He brings anxious people home to the Father. So work faithfully. Plan wisely. Ask for help when you need it. Support others where you can. And entrust what you cannot control to the Father who knows, values and cares for you.The Father's care is not a reward for perfect faith. It is the ground upon which weak faith learns to stand.Watch the full sermon:“Your Father Frees You from the Rule of Anxiety”Matthew 6:25–32#LearningToTrustTheFather #FreedomFromAnxiety #Matthew6 #YourFatherKnows #TrustGod #FaithOverFear #JesusChrist #AFMImpact #ChristianSermon

True Comfort Comes Only by Him | Part 1Exchanging the Guilt That Drives Us for the Grace That Frees UsGenesis 50:15-21 | King's Chapel Live StreamWhat do you do when your past won't stop haunting you?Even after seventeen years of kindness from Joseph, his brothers still lived under the weight of guilt. When their father Jacob died, they feared Joseph would finally take revenge. Their circumstances had changed, but their guilty consciences had not.In this message from Genesis 50, we see how unresolved guilt gives birth to fear, and fear drives us into hiding. Like Joseph's brothers, we often know God's promises but struggle to believe His grace is really for us.The good news is that God does not expose our guilt to shame us. He exposes it so He can free us. Joseph cared for his brothers, but only Jesus, the greater Joseph, can remove our guilt completely. At the cross, Christ took our sin upon Himself and bore the judgment we deserved. Guilt tells us we will never be enough, but Jesus declares that His grace is sufficient. True comfort is not found in ignoring our guilt but in trusting the Savior who has already paid for it.If you are carrying shame, fear, or regret, this message points you to the only One who can quiet a guilty conscience and give lasting peace.Connect with King's Chapel in Longwood, FL - ▶️ www.kingschapelfl.com▶️ https://www.facebook.com/KingsChapelfl▶️ https://www.instagram.com/kingschapelfl/For the GLORY of our Great GodFor the GOOD of our NeighborGenesis 50 sermon, Joseph and his brothers, guilt and grace, overcoming guilt through Christ, Christian sermon on forgiveness, Jesus the better Joseph, guilty conscience Bible, Genesis Bible study, King's Chapel Longwood FL

YOU CAN ALSO READ KENNY'S MANUSCRIPT FOR THIS SERMON HERE!REFLECTION/DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:Providence is “the beneficent care of God”... not just rescuing us from bad situations, but leading us into good ones. Is this different from the way you typically think about God's “providence” in your life?In Exodus 16:4, God tells Moses He will rain bread from heaven… but the people are only supposed to gather enough for each day. What do you think God was trying to teach them through this? Why can this kind of trust be so difficult for us?In what area of your life do you find yourself “gathering more than the day requires,” worrying about (or trying to control) something that God may be asking you to simply trust Him with, one day at a time?Kenny suggests that Moses's self-doubt is actually tied to his doubts about other people… and Jethro's challenge to share his work was really an invitation to trust God's providence. Do you think self-doubt and distrust of others are connected? Why or why not?Is there a situation in your life (at work, at home, or in your community) where you are carrying something alone that you may need to trust others with? What is holding you back from sharing that burden? What is one specific thing you could let go of this week (a worry, a responsibility, a need for control) that might free you to be more present and useful to the people around you?

Have you hired people who look great on paper only to later discover the skills do not actually transfer? Today's featured guest built her agency deliberately, one client at a time, carrying systems from her years at L'Oréal before anyone told her those systems would matter. She talks about how she structured accountability on her team from the beginning, how she filters out candidates who cannot think without AI holding their hand, and why she stopped caring about working with the sexiest beauty brands and started caring about working with the right ones. Mimi Banks is the founder and CEO of MB Social, a New York-based social media agency specializing in beauty. She spent years at L'Oréal, where she was among the first people to build social media infrastructure at the company, then moved to a Paris-based startup before eventually launching MB Social. Her team of 25 now handles social strategy, community management, and content for beauty brands across the market. In this episode, we'll discuss: Starting off with a vision on accountable vs responsible Can your team do 80% of what you do? Then you're set Why she stopped chasing the wrong clients Subscribe Apple | Spotify | iHeart Radio Sponsors and Resources E2M Solutions: Today's episode of the Smart Agency Masterclass is sponsored by E2M Solutions, a web design and development agency that has provided white-label services for the past 10 years to agencies all over the world. Check out e2msolutions.com/smartagency and get 10% off for the first three months of service. Building From the Beginning with Systems, Not Just Instinct Mimi came into agency ownership with something most founders spend years trying to build after the fact: a working model for how things should get done. Her time creating social media infrastructure at L'Oréal gave her a process orientation before she had a team to apply it to. When she started bringing people on at MB Social, the systems came with her. The ways of working, the documentation, the clarity around who was responsible versus who was accountable: those were in place because she had already built them once somewhere else. For instance, she started off with clarity on the distinction between responsible and accountable. She positioned herself as accountable from day one while making sure there was always a specific person responsible for each piece of work. That structure kept her from becoming the default executor on everything, which is the trap most founders walk into when they hire without clarifying ownership. The 80 Percent Standard That Actually Frees You Mimi is far enough along in her evolution that she no longer reviews most of what her team produces. She trusts the people leading each department to make judgment calls without routing them upward. Getting there required learning to live with the gap between what she would do and what her team does, and deciding that gap was acceptable. This is a framing every mastermind member knows: if your team does 80 percent of what you would do, that is good enough. Because you cannot do a hundred percent of everything, and the cost of trying is that you stay in the operator role indefinitely. The coaching method Mimi asks her leadership team to apply is asking questions. Similar to the Mastermind's 1-3-1 method, it's basically about asking questions that will help your team come up with options they have already considered, which leads to them coming up with the solution on their own. Do that enough times and the team stops treating the founder as the answer key. Hiring for Beauty When Everyone Says They Know Social The challenge Mimi keeps running into in hiring is the gap between what candidates say they can do and what the work actually requires. Social media for enterprise beauty brands is not the same skill as posting on a personal Instagram. The strategy is more complex, the client demands are higher, and the responsiveness required is relentless. Candidates do not always know that going in, and some of them figure it out in ways that are expensive to the team. The hiring process she built with Hireflex added a video interview layer with no retry option that filters for candidates willing to do the uncomfortable thing even when it is not required. From there she takes the transcripts, runs them through AI against a scoring rubric tied to the job description, and uses that data alongside her own read to make decisions. What she is testing for is the ability to think, not just to produce a clean output with AI assistance. The perfect presentation that does not match the resume tells her nothing useful. The candidate who works through a problem imperfectly, in their own words, tells her a great deal. Designing the Agency Around the Clients You Actually Want Mimi stopped chasing the sexiest beauty brands. Not because she cannot get them, but because sexy and right are not the same thing. Payment terms that stretch to 120 days, clients who treat the team poorly, brands that want work done yesterday and deliver assets a month late: those are not problems that prestige solves. She now runs the agency with a no bullshit attitude and is quick to address when a client's behavior affects her team. That boundary is what makes it possible to keep the team she has built. The version of client selectivity that actually holds is based on being clear enough on what you are building that you can recognize a client who does not fit before the contract is signed. After all, client relationships are like dating: you have to see if you get along before you commit, because the worst version of a client relationship looks a lot like a bad marriage, and the damage it does to a team is not undone when the contract ends. Along the way, we examine why so many people struggle to change, how avoidance prevents growth, and why the first and last Beatitudes may hold the key to understanding the entire process of becoming who we are capable of becoming.Elevate How You Navigate with Len & a free call https://elevatehowyounavigate.comMAYU Water, use "autism" for 10% off at https://mayuwater.comDaylight Computer Company, use "autism" for $50 off at https://buy.daylightcomputer.com/autismDaylight Kids (!!!) https://kids.daylightcomputer.com/autism ‪Chroma Light Devices, use "autism" for 10% discount at https://getchroma.co/?ref=autism00:00 The Beatitudes; Self-Transformation & the Sermon on the Mount01:13 Poor in Spirit; Humility, Confidence & Self-Awareness04:23 Mourning; Emotional Honesty & Facing the Self08:28 Meekness; Strength Under Control10:03 Hunger & Thirst for Righteousness; Motivation, Meaning & Values14:14 Mercy; Judgment, Compassion & Understanding Others16:06 Pure in Heart; Congruence, Alignment & Integrity17:45 Peacemakers; Compassion, Relationships & Letting Go of Control22:53 Persecuted for Righteousness; Identity, Self-Respect & Acceptance24:08 Self-Awareness → Self-Acceptance; The Two-Part Process of Change27:05 Why Many Christians Stay Stuck; Reading Without Transformation28:07 The Two Present-Tense Beatitudes; Final ReflectionsX: https://x.com/rps47586YT: https://www.youtube.com/@FromTheSpectrumemail: info.fromthespectrum@gmail.com

Hans Frees of Outdoor Escapes has been in business 25 years, filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy, lost money on a spec home during the 2008 crash, and came out the other side with better relationships, a better location, and a much healthier respect for staying in his lane. He and Mark swap war stories about building spec homes they probably shouldn't have, losing sleep over unpaid subcontractors, and why the small-town bank that bet on them at rock bottom is still their bank today. It's 32 minutes of hard-won wisdom from someone who learned most of it the expensive way. In this episode, you can learn:• Why the first and last Beatitudes may reveal a hidden psychology of transformation• How humility becomes the gateway to self-awareness, and self-acceptance becomes the foundation for lasting change• Why emotional honesty, rather than avoidance, is essential for growth• How comfort, validation, and control can block psychological development• The surprising connections between the Beatitudes, Carl Rogers, Jung, neuroscience, and the process of becoming who you areThe Beatitudes are often read as moral teachings, but what if they also describe a psychology of transformation? In this episode, we explore the possibility that the first and last Beatitudes form a complete arc of change: from humility and self-awareness to self-respect and self-acceptance. Along the way, we connect the Beatitudes to Jungian psychology, Carl Rogers, predictive processing, neuroscience, and the human tendency to avoid what is most difficult to see within ourselves. Rather than a list of virtues, the Beatitudes emerge as a progression—one that reorganizes identity, transforms desire, and ultimately changes how we relate to ourselves, others, and reality itself.Part 6 (and link to 1-5) https://youtu.be/cwSOiuskFKo?si=qGtCl7aX-xRM6zyIPart 6 WBS https://youtu.be/cwSOiuskFKo?si=qGtCl7aX-xRM6zyIPart 7 WBS https://youtu.be/KbuiXmwdKeAInternal Calculators part 1 https://youtu.be/uKa3wzpRoxQ?si=57tk2tO14VNVdzcpInternal Calculators part 2 https://youtu.be/5lsQIJUPgQ4Elevate How You Navigate with Len & a free call https://elevatehowyounavigate.comMAYU Water, use "autism" for 10% off at https://mayuwater.comDaylight Computer Company, use "autism" for $50 off at https://buy.daylightcomputer.com/autismDaylight Kids (!!!) https://kids.daylightcomputer.com/autism ‪Chroma Light Devices, use "autism" for 10% discount at https://getchroma.co/?ref=autism00:00 Elevate How You Navigate, MAYU Water, Daylight Computer & Daylight Kids, Chroma Light Devices05:18 Can the Self Be Transformed?; Reordering the Self12:27 First Beatitude: Poor in Spirit; Humility & Openness17:37 Second Beatitude: Mourning; Emotional Honesty & Integration20:32 Third Beatitude: Meekness; Strength Under Control24:00 Fourth Beatitude: Hunger & Thirst for Righteousness; Reordering Desire28:32 Fifth Beatitude: Mercy; Judgment, Compassion & Humanity30:55 Sixth Beatitude: Pure in Heart; Integrity & Congruence33:58 Seventh Beatitude: Peacemakers; Strength Beyond Control35:58 Eighth Beatitude: Persecuted for Righteousness; Self-Respect & Alignment38:42 The Psychology of Transformation; Final Synthesis41:23 Closing Reflections

This is a compilation episode, and it draws from some of the most honest and clarifying moments across recent conversations on the show. Nine different voices, each approaching the same territory from a different angle: what it means to stop being ruled by the outside world, to understand the patterns we inherited, and to come back to something more real inside ourselves. What We Dive Into:1. Thoughts arise whether you choose them or not. The shift is learning to observe them rather than be pulled by them.2. The nervous system learns what safety feels like early, and it keeps returning to that baseline even when it no longer serves.3. Your body, your beliefs, your identity, all of it was accumulated over time. Setting it aside, even briefly, creates the space to touch something underneath that is more stable. Because of the gospel, we are no longer children of performance, but children of promise called to stand firm, reject the chains of striving, and live in the freedom Christ has already secured for us.

What does it really mean to build a life around practice — not just on the mat, but in how you love, how you work, and how you show up for your community? In this rich and wide-ranging conversation, Harmony Slater welcomes Sonia and Luis, the founders of Agora Lisboa — a space in Portugal dedicated to yoga, meditation, and the deep study of Buddhist philosophy. This is a couple who left careers in international development and high finance, followed the thread of practice across continents, and landed in Lisbon to build something rare: a community where dharma and asana are not separate from how you live. In this episode, you'll discover: Why Sonia chose yoga over a prestigious French government contract — and what her teacher said that changed everything How Luis discovered Zen Buddhism through the beauty of Japanese temple gardens at age 20 — and then meditated alone for 12 years The humbling moment Luis realized community is non-negotiable on the path to freedom What the ancient Greek word 'agora' has in common with Sanskrit and Portuguese — and why it became the perfect name Why crises are turning points (not breakdowns) — and the etymology that proves it How Ashtanga yoga and Buddhist meditation aren't just compatible — they're sibling traditions The difference between practicing for self-improvement and practicing for freedom Why you can't build an island of happiness in an ocean of misery — and what that means for your community Sonia's beautiful story of finding her pranayama practice while rocking her twins to sleep Why Harmony is teaching at Agora Lisboa June 25–28 — and how you can join her Sonia was born in France to a Brazilian mother and French father, trained at Ashtanga Yoga Paris, and worked in international development across Africa before stepping fully into teaching. Luis grew up in Colombia, moved to France at 18, discovered Zen Buddhism in Japan, and spent a decade in finance before burnout and love conspired to change everything. Together, they created Agora Lisboa — a name that holds multitudes: the Greek marketplace, the Portuguese word for 'now,' and a Sanskrit term for light.
