Ps 65: 4 All the earth shall bow down before you, O God, and shall sing to you, shall sing to your name, O Most High! Responsorial Psalm 39(40):2,4,7-10 Here I am, Lord! I come to do your will. I waited, I waited for the Lord and he stooped down to me; he heard my cry. He put a new song into my mouth, praise of our God. Here I am, Lord! I come to do your will. You do not ask for sacrifice and offerings, but an open ear. You do not ask for holocaust and victim. Instead, here am I. Here I am, Lord! I come to do your will. In the scroll of the book it stands written that I should do your will. My God, I delight in your law in the depth of my heart. Here I am, Lord! I come to do your will. Your justice I have proclaimed in the great assembly. My lips I have not sealed; you know it, O Lord. Here I am, Lord! I come to do your will. As we come to the end of another liturgical year, we, the Choir of Our Lady of the Rosary RC Church, express our gratitude to you who have listened and supported our music ministry during the course of the year. We pray for God’s blessings on you and hope that you will stay with us, as we start a new liturgical year of psalms, with the coming of Advent. From the Letter of Saint Paul to the Colossians 1:15-18 “He is the image of the unseen God and the first-born of all creation, for in Him were created all things in heaven and on earth: everything visible and everything invisible, Thrones, Dominations, Sovereignties, Powers – all things were created through Him and for Him. Before anything was created, He existed, and He holds all things in unity. Now the Church is His body, He is its head.” Reading from Lectionary for Mass © 1969, 1981, 1997, International Commission on English in the Liturgy Corporation. All rights reserved. Cf. Ps 16:15 As for me, in justice I shall behold Your face; I shall be filled with the vision of Your glory. Responsorial Psalm 18(19):8-11 The precepts of the Lord gladden the heart. The law of the Lord is perfect, it revives the soul. The rule of the Lord is to be trusted, it gives wisdom to the simple. The precepts of the Lord gladden the heart. The precepts of the Lord are right, they gladden the heart. The command of the Lord is clear, it gives light to the eyes. The precepts of the Lord gladden the heart. The fear of the Lord is holy, abiding for ever. The decrees of the Lord are truth and all of them just. The precepts of the Lord gladden the heart. They are more to be desired than gold, than the purest of gold and sweeter are they than honey, than honey from the comb. The precepts of the Lord gladden the heart. Gospel ReadingOn the first day of the week, at the first sign of dawn, they went to the tomb with the spices they had prepared. They found that the stone had been rolled away from the tomb, but on entering discovered that the body of the Lord Jesus was not there. As they stood there not knowing what to think, two men in brilliant clothes suddenly appeared at their side. Terrified, the women lowered their eyes. But the two men said to them, ‘Why look among the dead for someone who is alive? He is not here; he has risen. Remember what he told you when he was still in Galilee: that the Son of Man had to be handed over into the power of sinful men and be crucified, and rise again on the third day?'
