Real connection. That’s all any of us really want. We want to belong. We want to be seen. We want to know we matter. The Connected Mom Life with Emily Siegel is a podcast all about learning how to live a life full of authentic connections. Because villages don’t just happen. They’re created. And each week, we’ll talk about how.
The Connected Mom Life podcast is an incredible resource for moms looking to build meaningful connections and navigate the challenges of motherhood. Hosted by Emily, this podcast stands out from others in its genre by providing actionable advice and relatable stories that leave listeners feeling supported and empowered. With a focus on friendship, work-life balance, and self-care, Emily offers a fresh perspective on these topics and provides practical tips that can easily be implemented into everyday life.
One of the best aspects of The Connected Mom Life podcast is the practicality of the advice given. Unlike many other podcasts that provide general high-level advice, Emily breaks down exactly what to do and say in various situations. This specificity not only makes the advice more actionable, but it also helps to alleviate any feelings of failure or inadequacy that may arise when listening to other podcasts. It's refreshing to hear someone who has gone through similar struggles share their experiences and provide tangible tools for navigating them.
Another highlight of this podcast is the authenticity and relatability of Emily as a host. She shares personal stories and experiences that make her feel like a trusted friend rather than an expert talking down to her listeners. This creates a sense of connection and understanding, making it easier for listeners to relate to her and feel comfortable implementing her advice.
While there are many positive aspects to The Connected Mom Life podcast, one potential downside is that it may not appeal to everyone. The topics covered are primarily focused on working moms, which may limit its relevance for stay-at-home moms or those in different stages or circumstances of motherhood. Additionally, some listeners may find the conversational style of the podcast too casual or prefer a more structured format.
In conclusion, The Connected Mom Life podcast is a valuable resource for moms seeking guidance on building connections and navigating the challenges of motherhood. Emily's relatable approach, actionable advice, and focus on friendship make this podcast stand out from others in its genre. Whether you're a working mom looking for practical tips or simply seeking a sense of community and support, The Connected Mom Life podcast is definitely worth a listen.

The other day I found myself having all of the “should” thoughts… “I should call my parents, actually read the stack of books on my night stand, clean the dishwasher filter, etc.” Sometimes “shoulds” can be helpful nudges, and other times, they can load us up with unnecessary guilt. Recently I've been asking myself a question when I think I “should” do something that is helping me gain greater clarity on my next step, and release guilt if in fact I don't have the capacity to do the thing my brain thinks I should do. The holidays are a lot of things. They're fun, stressful, full-of-wonder, intense, and everything in-between. In this episode, I'm sharing the 6 simple prompts I use to help me plot out my ideal holiday season so I can feel more present, and less stressed - and I'm hopeful it will help you too. Between worrying we're not doing enough as moms, to feeling like we're imposters in our work places, to stressing over whether that mom is actually interested in being our friend or was just being nice – Mind Gremlins are constantly by our side. In this episode, I'm joined by my friend and confidence coach Jess Critchlow to help us better understand what's actually happening when Mind Gremlins surface and what tangible steps we can take to combat them so we can move forward in taking brave action even if our palms feel a bit sweaty (okay, a lot sweaty!) Over the years, I've been transparent about what it looks like to live far away from family while raising a family of our own. There's lots of really great things about it! I just got back from a last-minute trip to see one of my dearest friends! But in saying yes to that trip, I knew I'd be saying no to being able to do the podcast I had planned. So I wanted to re-play the episode I had in my head when I made the decision to say YES to this trip, knowing it'd mean I'd need to give myself permission to take a break from my original plans. So I thought in lieu of my planned episode, I'd play that episode. Because in my experience, us moms need to give ourselves more permission to take breaks! But knowing when to take a break and for how long, isn't always the easiest thing to figure out. In this episode, I'm sharing 3 questions to help you determine when you might need a break from something in your life, and my best tip for how to give yourself permission to actually take it, guilt-free! We literally only have so much time for close relationships.
