We're told to push through, tolerate more, optimise harder, but that version of resilience is what leads many people straight into burnout. If your team isn't performing at the level you want, the problem may not be skill, strategy, or effort... it may be vision. In this episode, Kelly breaks down one of the most underutilized but powerful leadership skills in business: vision casting. You'll learn why vision is not a "once-a-year" exercise, how it directly impacts performance and profitability, and how to balance clarity with innovation in a rapidly changing market. If you want a more aligned, motivated, high-performing team in 2026, this episode is your blueprint. One of the most underappreciated but powerful skills of an effective leader is the ability to cast vision. Many entrepreneurs struggle with team performance — but rarely stop to ask whether they've clearly and consistently articulated a compelling future for their people to move toward. In this episode, Kelly unpacks why: Top performers don't just want compensation; they want meaning. The best teams don't work for you, they work with you. In a rapidly changing economy, vision provides certainty when strategy must shift. Kelly shares how leaders can: Recast vision consistently — not just during annual planning. Create a sense of clarity and belonging for their team. Lead confidently even when the full path forward isn't clear. In today's fast-shifting business environment, where AI, buying behavior, platforms, margins, and market conditions are constantly evolving, the leaders who thrive will be the ones who can both hold the long-term vision and iterate the short-term strategy. A few weeks ago, I got an Instagram DM from a student who was having a hard time. She had photographed a dream client about a year ago. The session went so well, the photos were stunning, it truly could not have gone better. And then she recently saw that same client book another brand photographer. And her heart was broken. And honestly? Mine was too. Because I've been there. I think we've all been there. Whether you're a brand photographer or not, if you've been in business long enough, you've probably lost a client. So in this episode, I'm walking you through how I think about losing a client, what to evaluate, what not to spiral over, and how to reframe it in a way that actually makes you stronger (and maybe even a little delusional in the best way). We're talking:What to do first when you find out a client booked someone elseHow to evaluate your process and experience without spiralingThe difference between a one-off loss and a pattern you need to pay attention toWhy “there is enough for everyone” is more than just a fluffy mindsetWhen your offer might actually be the issueThe “if not this, then better” mindset shift that's changed everything for meHow to respond publicly when a past client works with another photographer (yes, go comment on their post!)If this has happened to you recently, I hope this episode feels like a deep breath and a little perspective shift.Links & Resources
#148 Looking for fewer regrets? In this episode of the Everyday Bucket List Podcast, we're diving into something we don't always say out loud: travel regrets. The trips we postponed. The experiences we assumed we'd "get to someday." The bucket list ideas we quietly ghosted. But here's the good news — skipped dreams don't disappear. They wait. And sometimes, all it takes is one decision to turn regret into action. You'll hear about: Karen's regret about missing the Yayoi Kusama exhibit at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden — and how she turned it around by planning a trip to see it at the Buffalo AKG Art Museum Why spontaneous stops like Niagara Falls in winter can become unexpected bucket list highlights How positioning a trip around the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown proves that meaningful experiences don't require weeks off A reminder that bucket list ideas aren't just about destinations — they can center around art, concerts, sporting events, or once-in-a-lifetime natural phenomena This episode of the Everyday Bucket List Podcast is about shrinking regrets in real time. It's about noticing that quiet nudge — the one that says, "I could still do that" — and choosing to move. The journey begins with an honest reflection on missed opportunities and the subtle weight of "someday." It continues with a proactive decision to plan around what truly matters — whether that's an art exhibit, a natural wonder, or a small-town museum filled with nostalgia. Along the way, you'll hear how quick action transformed hesitation into gratitude, how winter travel created a quieter and more powerful experience at Niagara Falls, and how stacking meaningful stops into one trip maximized both time and memories. Because the fastest way to shrink a regret? Move. Click here to send me a quick message :) I read a post this morning from someone in Slovenia who said we are "underreacting" here in the United States. In some cases, this may be true. But I also see a lot of people highly reacting to the immense onslaught of too much-ness that we're navigating right now.And in that reacting, it could be actively doing things, but it may also look like reactively numbing or shutting down completely.Because let's be honest, too much-ness is often... overwhelming. Maybe we're not underreacting, maybe we're overwhelmed. And if so, that makes a LOT of sense. Can we normalize not feeling regulated right now? Like, how can we expect ourselves to be okay, really? But -- simultaneously, somehow, miraculously, nature continues. The sun shines, the moon returns. The earth is always here for us.That said, overwhelm is real, and exploring tools to help us understand our own personal relationship to it is what this week's guest, Sherene Cauley, brings. She researched overwhelm, and then created this beautiful image that she calls the Talisman against overwhelm.Such a creative way to bring interactive practice that encourages self-reflection into our daily lives. If you're in the murky muck right now and want to explore a creative path to deeper self-awareness and navigating overwhelm, this conversation is perfect for you.Resources:Grab a spot on the Natural Contraception waitlist (opens feb 8th 2026)Today's shownotes: Check out the Talisman of Overwhelm image + Sherene's links Episode 197: Somatic practices for healing childhood wounds using IFS with Kristen StakeEpisode 209: Sacred Rage with Andrea Thompson Episode 210: How to build capacity and resilienceIf you loved this episode, share it with a friend, or take a screenshot and share on social media and tag me @herbalwombwisdomAnd if you love this podcast, leave a rating & write a review! After spending back-to-back VIP days with multiple multi-seven-figure leaders, Kelly noticed a powerful pattern: The businesses ready to scale fastest weren't missing strategy — they were missing identity. In today's episode, Kelly breaks down why backing up to the identity of your brand may be the most important move you make heading into 2026. In an economy where information is commoditized and AI is everywhere, the businesses that win are the ones that lead movements, not transactions. This episode will challenge you to rethink how you cast vision, create belonging, and build a brand people want to stay loyal to for years, and not just buy from once. In this episode, Kelly explores: Why logic alone no longer converts buyers (and, how movements outperform marketing tactics) The difference between customers who transact and customers who stick around How to create "stickiness" (and ultimately, lifetime value) through identity and conviction Why the heart and soul of your brand matter more than ever in 2026 TIMESTAMPS: 03:06 – 05:40 — What Kelly noticed after multiple VIP days with 7-figure CEOs 05:41 – 07:55 — Why growth stalls when identity isn't clear 07:56 – 10:20 — Logic vs. emotion: how people actually decide to buy 10:21 – 12:45 — Transactions vs. movements (and why LTV suffers) 12:46 – 15:05 — How identity creates brand "stickiness" 15:06 – 17:30 — Service-based businesses and the lost art of stewardship 17:31 – 18:55 — Why AI makes conviction and humanity non-negotiable RESOURCES: Grab your copy of Conviction Marketing: https://www.amazon.com/Conviction-Marketing-Kelly-Roach/dp/B09S259DWK Subscribe to Kelly's Substack channel: https://kellyroachofficial.substack.com/ Follow Kelly on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kellyroachofficial/ Follow Kelly on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kelly.roach.520/ Connect on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/kellyroachint/

Click here to send me a quick message :) How do you relate to the fierce intensity that is rage? So many of us are socialized to dim this part of ourselves, to tuck it inside, that it is NOT welcome in the world. For women and female-bodied folks, it is common to be labeled "hormonal" or "hysterical." And what does that typically mean? Anger, irritation, rage...This is so deeply embedded in our cultural ways of knowing that the word "hysterical" actually comes from the root word "hyster-" which connotes womb/uterus.Hysteria was a common diagnosis in the 19th century that referred to irritability, impulsiveness, tendency to "cause trouble" among other things. This idea that those qualities of energy are something to literally diagnose says a lot about how poorly embraced they were. So, where is it then that we are allowed to express this innate part of ourselves? Perhaps in our homes or intimate relationships, maybe in certain forms of work, but almost nowhere in a publicly accepted way.Today's guest, bodyworker and ritual facilitator Andrea Thompson shares about her journey to embracing her own Sacred Rage and how she came to facilitate spaces for others to express their rage, too.She also speaks about her own personal fertility and perimenopause journey which is profoundly interwoven with her work around rage and ritual. This conversation is overflowing with embodied wisdom and inspiration. Low energy isn't one single experience, and that's why so much generic advice fails. In this third episode of the Energy series, we explain the four most common low energy patterns we see repeatedly in clinic, helping you understand why your fatigue shows up the way it does. Rather than labels or diagnoses, this episode focuses on biological patterns that reflect how the body adapts to stress, illness, inflammation, and prolonged demand.02:50 — Why Low Energy Looks Different in Different People05:20 — Pattern 1: Wired But Tired (Chronic Stress & Nervous System Overdrive)13:40 — Pattern 2: Flat Fatigue (Energy Conservation & Reduced Output)20:10 — Pattern 3: Post-Viral or Immune-Driven Fatigue26:10 — Pattern 4: Burnout-Style Fatigue (Loss of Adaptive Capacity)30:50 — What All Low Energy Patterns Have in CommonEach pattern is explained in clear, relatable terms so you can see yourself in the physiology — not judge yourself for it. If you've ever felt tired all day but alert at night, struggled to recover after illness, felt heavy and unmotivated for no obvious reason, or wondered why rest doesn't restore your energy anymore, this episode will help you make sense of it.RESOURCES: Grab all the links and resources mentioned in this episode at https://www.nicolegoodehealth.com/the-goode-health-podcast/episode-109DISCLAIMER: The content in this podcast and related website is not intended to be a substitute for medical advice. One spot isn't what you think! Also, it's not necessarily for the location. I'm going to take you through my thought process. We cover: Repeat travel value Food and culture Museums and history In this episode, the host talks about revisiting places in the United States that left a strong impression but felt only partially explored. She shares how returning to familiar places gives travelers a chance to take things at a more relaxed pace and enjoy things they may have missed the first time around. The discussion highlights revisiting cities for museums, food, history, art, and cultural experiences rather than trying to see everything at once. The host also emphasizes that interests can change over time, making repeat visits feel fresh and meaningful. Overall, the episode encourages travelers to view repeat trips as an opportunity to add new layers to places they already love. While everyone's talking about crushing goals and using willpower to achieve more, let's talk about what you're really after. And a completely different way to get there. Here's the truth most people miss: your goals aren't really about the goal itself. What you're actually seeking is a feeling.Maybe it's competency, creativity, deep connection with your animal, or a sense of freedom. But somewhere along the path to achievement, many people abandon these very feelings in favor of force, dominance, and willpower. We'll explore why the methods you use to achieve goals matter just as much as the goals themselves, and how you can pursue what you want through ease, connection, and integrity instead of force. In this episode, you'll discover why visualizing the process rather than just the outcome creates better results and actually prepares your brain for success. As you move into 2026, ask yourself: "How does this feel?" That simple question might change everything.Resources:Grab your FREE video training to help your dog.

In this episode, we open up about the creative strategies we've discovered as female real estate investors to secure capital when traditional funding feels out of reach. We share our experiences with tapping into equity, refinancing, and leveraging our networks, along with creative financing options like seller financing and partnerships. Throughout our journey, we've learned the importance of community, due diligence, and strategic planning. We've found that accessing our own equity through refinancing or HELOCs and building strong networks has been key to uncovering creative financing options. Understanding return on equity (ROE) has helped us evaluate property performance, and partnerships have provided us with capital, though they require careful due diligence.Raising private money and exploring creative financing methods like seller financing have been game-changers for us, bridging funding gaps when needed. We've realized that community support is invaluable for sharing resources and advice, and regularly reviewing our portfolio's equity is crucial for strategic planning. These approaches have empowered us to make informed decisions and grow our investments with confidence. "Intuitive eating is not about perfectly staying within a calorie number or a maintenance threshold. It is about developing trust with your body and using each eating experience as feedback, not a test of whether you pass or fail."Have you ever felt like you just can't stop eating certain foods, even when you're full? Or maybe you find yourself second-guessing every food choice, worried you're eating too much as you try to follow intuitive eating? These everyday struggles can leave you feeling stuck in guilt, confusion, and chaos around food.In this solo episode, I'm answering real and vulnerable questions Rebels sent me on Instagram. These are questions I hear all the time as a Registered Dietitian and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. From why we overeat “delicious” food, to how to handle food indecision and what it means to “eat too many calories” as an intuitive eater, I'm breaking down myths, normalizing the messiness, and offering practical, compassion-filled tools to help you trust your body again. You'll also hear a relatable story from fellow Rebel, Jaimie, who went from tracking every calorie and overeating while on vacation to truly enjoying food and stopping when full. Together, we'll look at the patterns that keep so many of us stuck, the real reasons eating can feel chaotic, and why permission, structure, and kindness are game-changers on your intuitive eating journey. What You'll Learn:Why honoring fullness isn't about willpower and what's really behind that “can't stop eating” feelingHow food rules and restriction actually make overeating more likely, and what to do about itPractical tools for navigating indecision and food guilt so eating can feel less chaoticThe mindset shifts that help you move away from perfectionism with food and listen to your body's unique needsWhy occasional overeating is normal (even for intuitive eaters) and how every eating experience is an opportunity to learnHow to zoom out and look at the big picture of health, beyond any single meal or calorie countRemember, Rebels - this work isn't about getting every food choice perfect. It's about showing up with curiosity, compassion, and a willingness to trust your body one step at a time. How do you go from hearing a quiet tug on your heart to building a thriving microschool in only four months? In this episode, I sit down with Lauren Talbot—former accountant, middle school math teacher, and now the founder of The Anchor Learning Center in Louisiana. From her one-stoplight town, Lauren followed God's unmistakable call to leave public education and step into something completely new: creating a homeschool hybrid microschool. Lauren shares how she describes her journey as “weaving the tapestry of my calling and destiny”—a beautiful, faith-filled story that began the day she buckled her seatbelt, drove away from her classroom, and received a life-changing phone call that confirmed her next steps. Today, just four months later, she and her mom are serving 30 students alongside student interns, bringing her vision to life and transforming her community. Lauren is also a proud member of our Microschool Masterminds community—a supportive network of founders who, like her, are guided step-by-step through building, growing, and sustaining their microschools and homeschool hybrids. In this episode, you'll also hear how the Mastermind has helped Lauren find encouragement, strategies, and clarity as she stepped into leadership. If you've ever wondered… Could I really build a microschool from scratch—even in a small town? How do I follow God's call when it feels risky or “taboo”? Where do I find a community of people who understand this journey? …then this story will inspire and empower you. ✨ Press play to hear Lauren's powerful testimony of surrender, faith, and courage—and discover how Microschool Masterminds can help you weave the tapestry of your own calling. Starting a microschool comes with incredible joy—but it also comes with the pressure of making everyone happy: parents, students, even your staff. If you've ever felt the weight of parent expectations on your shoulders, this episode is for you. In today's conversation, I'm pulling back the curtain on how new founders can manage parent pressure without burning out. We'll talk about: ✨ Why boundaries are essential for your sanity and your school's success ✨ How proactive communication reduces conflict and builds trust ✨ The reality that confidence doesn't come overnight—it grows with systems, support, and consistency ✨ Practical ways to onboard parents, clarify expectations, and foster community involvement And most importantly, I'll remind you that you are not alone. What if you had a community of founders who reminded you that you're not crazy for doing this—and helped you do it well? That's exactly why I created Microschool Masterminds and the Open House Playbook. These resources are designed to give you the clarity, tools, and encouragement you need to lead with confidence.
