One day he asked the woman, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?” “Of course we may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,” the woman replied. “It's only the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden that we are not allowed to eat. God said, “You must not eat or even touch it; if you do, you will die.” “You won't die!” The serpent replied to the woman. “God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.” The woman was convinced. She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit delicious, and she wanted the wisdom it would give her. So she took some of the fruit and ate it, then she gave some to her husband who was with her and he ate it to. At that moment they felt shame at their nakedness.” Lust of the eyes (she saw) lust of flesh (beautiful/delicious) and pride of life (what it would do for her). Ephesians 2:1–2 NKJK “And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience” 1 John 5:19 NLT “The world around us is under control of the evil one”. John 12:31 NLT “The time for judging this world has come, when satan, the ruler of this world will be cast out. And when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw everyone to myself.” You can't enjoy the love of God when your enduring the love of the world. The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Verse 16 For forty days the Philistine came forward every morning and evening and took his stand. Verse 20 Early in the morning David left the flock with a shepherd, loaded up and set out, as Jesse had directed. He reached the camp as the army was going out to its battle positions, shouting the war cry. Israel and the Philistines were drawing up their lines facing each other. As he was talking with them, Goliath, the Philistine champion from Gath, stepped out from his lines and shouted his usual defiance, and David heard it. Saul replied, you are not able to go out against this Philistine and fight him; you are only a boy, and he has been a fighting man from his youth. Verse 37 The LORD who delivered me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine. Saul said to David, go, and the LORD be with you. Verse 45 David said to the Philistine, you come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. Verse 48-51 As the Philistine moved closer to attack him, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet him. Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell facedown on the ground. So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him. David ran and stood over him. He took hold of the Philistine's sword and drew it from the scabbard. After he killed him, he cut off his head with the sword. 1 Corinthians 11:23 The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, this is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me. In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, this cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me. Genesis 2:7 NLT Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man's nostrils, and the man became a living person. This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one. Now the man and his wife were both naked but they felt no shame. You surround me with songs of victory. Psalm 119:112 NKJV I have inclined my heart to perform Your statutes forever, to the very end. Romans 3:23 NKJV For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 6:23 NKJV For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 10:9 If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 1 John 1:9 NKJV If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Jeremiah 17:7-8 NLT Blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought.Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit. John 7:38 ESV Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. Romans 8:9B NIV84 If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. 2 Corinthians 13:5 NIV84 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you–unless, of course, you fail the test? Radical Faith is believing even when I cannot see it. Hebrews 11:1 NIV84 Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Radical Faith is obeying God even when I don't understand it. Hebrews 11:7 NIV84 By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. Proverbs 14:12 NKJV There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death. 3. Radical faith requires deep roots to live out God'sdestiny for your life. Ephesians 2:10 ESV For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Daniel 1:8 But Danielresolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself this way.

Jeremiah 17:5-10, NIV This is what the Lord says: “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the Lord. That person will be like a bush in the wastelands; they will not see prosperity when it comes. They will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives. “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? “I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.” We are all on a journey! Ephesians 1:4-5, MSG Long before he laid down earth's foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. Long, long ago he decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ. (What pleasure he took in planning this!) Ephesians 4:11-16, NLT 12 Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. ...that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. 14 Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won't be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. 15 Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. 16 He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. What is my Next Step? Revleation 12:10 "They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; Be the first to forgive. Colossians 3:13 NIV "Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you." “We all need a grave yard in the back of our minds where we can bury the faults of others, 6 ft deep in the soil of love with the shovel of forgiveness.” Encourageone another. Ephesians 4:29 NIV "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen." “It's not about giftedness, it's about thoughtfulness.” Be thoughtful, and everyday, seek out others to encourage. Share with them Jeremiah 29:12 NIV "Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you." If we were as quick to lend our ear as we are about lending our opinions, we might see more hurting hearts getting healed. Trade up Romans 12:21 “Do not be over come by evil but over come evil with Good.”

Luke 7:11-17 NLT "Soon afterward Jesus went with his disciples to the village of Nain, and a large crowd followed him. A funeral procession was coming out as he approached the village gate. The young man who had died was a widow's only son, and a large crowd from the village was with her. When the Lord saw her, his heart overflowed with compassion. "Don't cry!" he said. Then he walked over to the coffin and touched it, and the bearers stopped. "Young man," he said, "I tell you, get up." Then the dead boy sat up and began to talk! And Jesus gave him back to his mother. Great fear swept the crowd, and they praised God, saying, "A mighty prophet has risen among us," and "God has visited his people today." And the news about Jesus spread throughout Judea and the surrounding countryside." 1. Do you overflow with compassion for others? Greek word for compassion: splagchnizomai Proverbs 11:25 NLT "The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed." 2. Will you look for opportunities to meet the needs of others? Galatians 2:20 NLT "My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

Joshua 4:4-7 NIV 4So Joshua called together the twelve men he had appointed from the Israelites, one from each tribe, 5and said to them, “Go over before the ark of the Lord your God into the middle of the Jordan. Each of you is to take up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the Israelites, 6to serve as a sign among you. Psalm 33:6 NLT The Lord merely spoke, and the heavens were created. He breathed the word, and all the stars were born. Psalm 139:13-14 NIV 13You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother's womb. 14Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. Colossians 3:16-17 NLT 16Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. God's favor is provision found in His presence for His purpose. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 2 Corinthians 4:7 NLT We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.
