    Ivy Insights

The One Heart Podcast hosted by Brooke is a truly transformative and enlightening show that delves into various aspects of spirituality, personal growth, and self-realization. This podcast has quickly become one of my favorites, as Brooke's authenticity and wisdom shine through in every episode. Her ability to share her own journey and experiences in a vulnerable way is truly admirable, and it has helped me tremendously in my own spiritual growth.

One of the best aspects of The One Heart Podcast is the depth of knowledge and insight that Brooke brings to each episode. She skillfully combines ancient wisdom with modern teachings, providing a unique perspective on spiritual topics. Whether she is discussing mindfulness, meditation, or the power of intention, Brooke offers practical advice and techniques that can be easily applied to daily life. Her ability to simplify complex concepts and make them accessible to all listeners is truly remarkable.

Moreover, what sets this podcast apart from others is its emphasis on personal growth and self-discovery. Brooke encourages her listeners to explore their own inner worlds and tap into their true potential. Through introspection exercises, guided meditations, and thought-provoking discussions, she helps guide individuals on a journey of self-realization and empowerment. This aspect of the podcast has been immensely valuable to me personally, as it has allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of myself and my purpose.

However, while The One Heart Podcast offers incredible value in terms of spiritual teachings and personal growth, one aspect that could be improved upon is the frequency of episodes. As an avid listener who eagerly anticipates each new release, I often find myself craving more content from Brooke. Although I understand that creating high-quality episodes takes time and effort, I would love to see more frequent releases so that I can continue on this transformative journey alongside her.

In conclusion, The One Heart Podcast is an absolute gem for anyone seeking spiritual guidance and personal growth. Brooke's ability to impart wisdom with sincerity makes this podcast a must-listen. Her teachings have the power to transform lives and inspire individuals to cultivate a deeper connection with themselves and their spirituality. I am immensely grateful for this podcast and eagerly look forward to each new episode. Thank you, Brooke, for sharing your journey with the world and helping others on their own path of self-discovery and spiritual evolution.

The big red flag that tells you that you are in duality (judgement and black and white thinking).

Moving beyond a duality mindset is one of the most helpful steps to living your life in more creation. Reminder, duality is seeing the world in black and white and having a perpetual judgement or rejection of one of these polarities. It's right vs. wrong, good vs. bad, worthy vs. unworthy, etc. When you move into seeing in non-duality (from the unconditional love of the heart), you gain the ability to hold space for both polarities to be one. But making this shift towards more love is helpful when you can spot the moments when duality creeps in. Resonance is hard to describe with words because its really all about feeling. And yet, you have likely had the experience of what it's like to resonate highly with a person or idea or activity vs. what it's like to not have resonance with something. We can often judge ourselves or others based on resonance, when really it's not about who's right or who's wrong and more about being a form of guidance and communication from the Divine to help us navigate our path in the way that will bring us the most joy. This is the home of the ego and the voice of judgement that lives in our mind. I don't know about you, but this is a hard place to live. Cancel culture is not my favorite thing. I do admit, there is a sort of thrill the ego gets in being able to cling to what it thinks is right and metaphorically destroy opposition by cancelling someone through unfollows, unsubscribes, or public declarations of rejection. But you know what? The thrill is totally short lived. And it's empty. And more importantly, it is a place of contraction not creation. When you live in duality (black and white thinking), cancelling any voice that is different than your view can be an automatic response. But the more we can expand our mind and heart into non-duality (oneness), the more we can find and retain connection with the beautiful humans around us.This is most definitely a practice...AND...it's worth every effort. Often times our fears about other people's opinions are the very thing that keep us from making change, from speaking up, from doing the thing we know deep down we need to do, or even pursing our own dreams. If we get trapped in people pleasing and abandoning our own sense of self at the risk of not being liked, long term the results are far worse than they would have been otherwise. What do you do for a living? Do you have children? Are you married? While these questions are still important insights into someone's life, I was recently asked a casual question at a dinner that I haven't been able to stop thinking about for more than a month. It stopped me in my tracks and made my heart beat fast. I've never been asked this question before so I didn't have a practiced response, and perhaps that is why it was so impactful. Have you ever felt like you were walking on eggshells in a relationship? We all know the feeling... we don't want to rock the boat and create chaos and drama, but we also doubt the possibility of experiencing authentic joy here as well because something is being suppressed. It's the elephant in the room that keeps us from feeling free to just be ourself. So we play safe. We play small. We make sure we don't tip into the direction of getting triggered, but we also aren't free to tip in the direction of play and joy. We have a very small range of what is tolerable. While we may fool ourselves into thinking this is what it takes to keep things "good" in the relationship, this narrow range is more like a prison than a safe zone. And it's not just our relationship with others that can operate here, but also our relationship with ourself. Yes, you can walk on eggshells with yourself! Maybe there's a part of you that still longs for a certain dream or a part of you that still carries the burden of a criticism you received a long time ago. We often described our complex feelings using this language... "Part of me feels (fill in the blank)." In this episode we're going to address our many different parts, and how this concept can help us to more fully understand our emotions and triggers they might bring. Most importantly of all, is the invitation we all have to love these different parts of who we are. Even those parts that annoy us or that we would rather reject. Have you ever had the hope in your life that someday you would arrive at a point of spiritual maturity where you no were longer triggered by anything? You were no longer triggered by your spouse, or your kids, or your parents, or your co workers, or that really annoying person in your life, or maybe even no longer triggered by your own self? I have had this wish for most of my life! I think I have imagined that someday there would hopefully be some epic moment of arrival where I was eternally happy and unaffected by emotional challenges because I'd finally figured out how to master the game of life and had transcended it. If reaching that arrival is even possible, I am still a long ways out, and more so, I don't know that I have ever met anyone who has ever arrived at perfect peace and stayed there forever afterwards no matter what. All the people I know still get off balance...some are better than others at responding to those moments, but I don't know anyone who is no longer triggered by anything. With that said, I think talking about the nature of trigger and response is a worthwhile conversation. Perhaps if we understood some of the mechanics of what happens when we're triggered we can in the very least, get better at responding. SHOWNOTES:Use code ONEHEART30 to get 30 days free on the Co Create App and gain access to the guided meditations and Q&A that accompanies this Reclamation of Feeling course.

Knowing what it is and what it looks like has been a key piece in learning how to regulate my emotions and move through things with more love and compassion. If you've ever tried to change how you feel by doing spiritual tools, if you've ever tried to just be more positive and optimistic, if you've ever tried to just look on the bright side or be more grateful and sometimes experienced that these things didn't help you feel better, this episode will explain why that can happen. You'll be able to spot where you do this to yourself, and perhaps when you might project this onto others in effort to fix emotions we judge as wrong or bad. But the challenge with emotion, is that you don't immediately go from a low state to a high state. You don't immediately go from feeling anger to feeling happy. Or from disappointment to contentment. Especially if you are actively resisting what you are feeling in the moment. There's too big of a gap between the two states, and in today we are going to learn about what exists in the gap. 12. Reclamation of Feeling Pt 1: Emotions Are Just the Weather

In my journey to embody more love and to live with One Heart, I have discovered that my ability to access love has a lot to do with my relationship to emotions. And truth be told, that relationship can be complicated. I can be all over the place from full out numbing myself from painful feelings, to making my emotions mean something about me or others, to spiritually bypassing anything uncomfortable in effort to be positive or more spiritual and fix myself. I invite you to join me in this new series on the podcast I'm calling Reclamation of Feeling. A reclamation is to reclaim something, and what I'm declaring a reclamation for, is the pure marvel it is to be a human with a body that feels. When we disassociate from our feelings because we are afraid to feel something, whether that feeling is pain or even hope and joy, we narrow our experience of life. Instead of living in a world of full color and vibrancy, we tone it down to a life of gray because it feels safer. But life is meant to lived fully. There is so much depth and richness we miss out on when we limit our experience. And most importantly, in so doing we also limit what its like to fully embody love.SHOWNOTES:Receive my free "I love and accept you" Meditation on the Co Create App.Find it in the Apple App StoreFind it in the Google App Store

Have you ever experienced a downward spiral? Those moments that knock you off course, and then it's all downhill from there?  We all have our triggers that can set things in motion... what we don't always realize is the spiral can be traveled in two different directions.  In this episode we're going to talk about spiraling up, not down, and how understanding the spiral nature of our own growth can help us live with more compassion for ourselves and others.

You hear me over and over on this podcast state that my journey to unconditional love has required me to let go of seeking love outside of me and to find the love that exists inside. The love that is everlasting and always present in each and every human if we can but let go of the judgements and egoic mind that block our awareness. While it has been crucial for me to go inward for love, what does this mean in context of community? Especially if you find yourself going through any type of challenge in which you feel isolated and alone? I'm looking forward to going deeper into the need we all have  for belonging and community. SHOWNOTES:Receive my free "I love and accept you" Meditation on the Co Create App.Find it in the Apple App StoreFind it in the Google App StoreResources Mentioned in the Episode:Faith Expansion Support Group with Valerie Hamaker Faith Deconstruction and Reconstruction Group with Celeste DavisEmbracing the World---Amma, the Hugging Saint

In this episode I'm going to continue Part 2 of my Love story. And I have to say that in over ten years of podcasting, this episode is hands down the most vulnerable episode I've ever done. That being said, I want to preface by letting you know my two personal guidelines for vulnerability..First, I never publicly share my stories when I am in the messy middle. I always always wait until I am in a neutral place and have progressed through any experience far enough to be able to have some healthy detachment. Second, I only share with purpose. And always my purpose is to teach a principle. The principle I'm teaching in this story is unconditional love---which you will probably quickly notice, you don't hear about unconditional love in this story until the end. What you will hear instead is a lot about rejection and judgement. But life often teaches us most profoundly through contrast. For me, I could not know what true love was, until I learned what love is not.SHOWNOTES:Receive my free "I love and accept you" Meditation on the Co Create App.Find it in the Apple App StoreFind it in the Google App Store

This is not a romantic love story, rather it is my own personal journey from living in the reality of conditional love and judgement to living in the reality of unconditional love and acceptance. We will all have our own love story journey. I talk a lot about unconditional love on this podcast, because I believe that is what real love is. A question that often arises when you begin to explore unconditional love after living with conditions for so long, is, if love has no conditions, then how do you not just become a doormat? How does the world not just go crazy? These questions are really the result of being taught fear instead of love, and I think this is a really important distinction to get clear on so we can create a more peaceful world to live in.  As a thank you to my listeners, I have created a free "I love and accept you" meditation for you to practice unconditional love for yourself. Meditation is my favorite tool for unlearning our judgements and returning to unconditional love. In this episode we're going to talk about how judgement is the #1 block to experiencing unconditional love. And I will tell you right now, if you can let go of judgement, you will enter the world of unconditional love. It's that simple. And... at the same time, not so simple... because our judgements can be so deeply held. Let's learn more about how to see and remove the barrier of judgement so you can create a better reality. SHOWNOTES:Receive my free "I love and accept you" Meditation on the Co Create App.Find it in the Apple App StoreFind it in the Google App Store

In this episode we're shining a light on how we withhold love from ourselves or others based upon the conditions we may unknowingly be putting upon ourselves or others. Living with conditional love has its consequences. Most prominently being the ever present feeling of not being enough or having to fix or change who you are in order to be loved or accepted. It's a constant state of lack and poverty, and one of the greatest epidemics of our time. The great tragedy of this, is it doesn't have to be this way, because the love we seek is actually already within. SHOWNOTES:Receive my free "I love and accept you" Meditation on the Co Create App.Find it in the Apple App StoreFind it in the Google App Store

In this episode we're going to talk about what the difference is between duality and non duality. I like to think of duality as similar to polarity. It's living in a black and white experience of life. Non duality is learning to close the gap between polarities to achieve wholeness.  If we desire to live with One Heart, this is an important concept to understand. We're divided inside. We have a true self, and we have an ego.Another way to say the same thing, is that we have a divine self and we have a human self. We're both fully divine and fully human. We have been taught to judge our humanness as shameful. Or maybe we've even been taught that divinity is something we earn or become if we prove ourselves worthy enough?Could it be, that true wholeness is learning how to unite our two selves into one? If I reject my humanness, I reject half of who I am. This is not wholeness. Its halfness. Wholeness is learning how to unite the divide, not eliminate the half we judge as bad. My intention with this One Heart podcast, is to offer insight, stories, and experiences for how we can be whole. Both fully divine AND fully human. Love brings wholeness. Judgement brings separateness.SHOWNOTES:Receive my free "I love and accept you" Meditation on the Co Create App.Find it in the Apple App StoreFind it in the Google App StoreThe Co Create App gives you access to over 100+ Guided Meditations, new Yoga Classes, Inspirational Audio Courses, and community Challenges to support you in living into your true identity as the creator of your life. 1. Self Improvement to Self Love and Acceptance

I have spent years of my life studying self improvement. I have had an insatiable hunger, that if I could just fix myself and improve myself, then it would magically solve all my problems and I'd find success, whatever success was. I have since discovered that what I was really chasing was love. I believed that if I could just be better than I was, or just be someone else, then I would find the love I was looking for. God would love me more, I would love me more, and other people in my life would love me more.  And so I pursued the path of self improvement.Ironically, I am discovering that if you focus on self love and acceptance, you actually DO IMPROVE. Like dramatically! I've been putting the cart before the horse for years. But the reason to love and accept yourself more fully, is not about what you can achieve because of it, the reason to love and accept yourself more fully, is for what it does for your entire experience of life in the present moment. It is for what it does for your personal happiness, and for your relationships. For what it does for the paradigm in which you see the world. For what it does for your heart. SHOWNOTES:Co Create by Brooke Snow: My *New* App!
