Have you ever known someone who lashes out a lot, pushes buttons, is overly critical, and sometimes downright mean? If you do, there is a good change that those behaviors are a form of protection, rather than an indicator that they are not a good person at heart. It does mean you need to condone the behaviors, however. Unfortunately, the behaviors generally hurt the person who lashes out and the people closest to them, plus, it severs connection, leaving the person in the place they unconsciously fear most - alone. Have you ever had a good retail therapy day? It's so common it has a name. There is nothing wrong with having a moment of purchased joy. We do it with food, too. But do you find yourself chasing happiness? Like nothing you do or buy fills that space for very long. I've seen this conflcit with couples where one person wants to have a bunch of things to feel happy while the other doesn't care about the stuff, they just want to be happy. It often causes disagreements because HOW they feel joy is misaligned. In this episode I will explain how to find inner peace and joy from the inside rather than trying to create it with things. It is called the Path of Mastery.
