The Agency Brief Note ♻️ THE NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT (1934) (Cold Open) "In 1934, Congress looked at a few gangsters with Tommy guns and decided to put every future gun owner on probation… forever… without ever proving we did anything wrong." (The Brief) THE ORIGIN STORY: PANIC AND OPPORTUNISM The Setup: Prohibition ends in 1933. Federal agencies face budget cuts. They need a new war. They choose "The War on Crime." The Hook: DOJ uses the St. Valentine's Day Massacre to sell a "gangster gun" crisis. The Bait & Switch: The NFA was pitched as a tax on "criminal weapons," but the original bill attempted to register all handguns. The NRA (back when they were Fudds) helped kill the handgun portion but let the rest slide. Crucial Detail: SBR/SBS restrictions were only in the bill to prevent people from hiding pistols. When pistols were removed, Congress left the SBR rules in. We are regulating barrel length today because of a 1934 legislative error. THE MECHANISM: A BAN DISGUISED AS A TAX The "Poll Tax": They couldn't ban guns (2A exists), so they used the Taxing Power. The Cost: $200 in 1934. Inflation Adjustment: That is roughly $4,500 today. Intent: It was an economic ban designed to ensure only the wealthy could own modern firepower. The Registry: The true goal was the NFRTR (National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record). Registration is always the prerequisite for confiscation. THE LEGAL COVER-UP: U.S. V. MILLER (1939) The Supreme Court case that upheld the NFA was a setup. The Fix: The defendant, Jack Miller, was dead before the decision was handed down. His court-appointed attorney did not show up to argue the case. The Ruling: The Government argued unopposed that a sawed-off shotgun had no "militia utility." The Court agreed, solely because no one was there to tell them otherwise. THE MODERN IMPACT & REGULATORY CREEP 1986 Hughes Amendment: Proved the danger of registries. Congress used the NFA list to ban all new machine guns for civilians. Note: The Hughes Amendment passed on a fraudulent voice vote where the "Nays" clearly had it, but the Speaker pushed it through. ATF Power Grabs: The NFA definitions are vague. This allows the ATF to write law without Congress (e.g., Pistol Braces, Bump Stocks, Triggers). Culture War: It normalized the "Two-Tier" system. The wealthy buy what they want; the poor get what they are given. CONSTITUTIONAL ANALYSIS (POST-BRUEN) The Vulnerability: Under the Bruen test (Text, History, Tradition), the NFA is on death's door. The History: There is zero historical tradition of the Founding Fathers taxing the ownership of standard arms or creating a federal list of owners. The Argument: The government claims these weapons are "dangerous and unusual." We argue they are only unusual because the government has spent 90 years threatening to put us in prison for owning them. New York Targets Polymer80 Seller, Life Sentence ♻️ New York authorities are pursuing severe legal action against a seller of Polymer80 ghost gun kits, seeking a life sentence, highlighting aggressive enforcement against unserialized firearm components. U.S. Civilian Gun Ownership Reaches 500 Million ♻️ Article reports that civilian gun ownership in the United States has surpassed 500 million firearms, highlighting the scale of private armament amid ongoing debates on gun rights and statistics. Some Anti-ICE Protesters in Minnesota Are Openly Carrying: What Does the Law Say? ♻️ Article discusses anti-ICE protesters in Minnesota openly carrying firearms and examines the relevant state laws on open carry. Everytown Is Lying About Impact of National Reciprocity, Again ♻️ Article accuses Everytown for Gun Safety of misrepresenting the effects of national concealed carry reciprocity legislation, claiming their arguments exaggerate risks and ignore benefits for law-abiding gun owners. ATF/DEA Merger Appears DOA ♻️ Reports indicate that plans to merge the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) are effectively dead on arrival (DOA), halting a proposed consolidation of federal law enforcement agencies. NC Lawmakers Dragging Their Feet on Constitutional Carry ♻️ North Carolina lawmakers are delaying progress on constitutional carry legislation, frustrating gun rights advocates amid ongoing debates over permitless carry. Send us a textWhat happens when you swap the cola in a Long Island for Sprite, cranberry, cinnamon, and a kiss of citrus—and then hand New Year's resolutions to Disney legends? We kick off with a winter spiced Long Island inspired by Jollywood Nights, breaking down the build, the balance, and the subtle orange-cranberry glow that makes this riff dangerously sippable. Think classic structure, brighter finish, and a candied orange wheel that smells like December. With glasses clinking, we pivot into a resolution game that's equal parts nostalgia and honesty. Donald promises calm and barely survives the countdown. Ariel tackles her treasure trove with help. Belle tries fewer pages, more people. Cinderella sets her own curfew. Tiana wrestles with “healthy” in the land of gumbo. We go deeper than punchlines, exploring why some characters are primed to evolve and why others are hilariously doomed by design. Captain Hook finds peace and opens an island bar. Jack Sparrow plans to plan, then doesn't. Buzz meets gravity. Pumba embraces accountability. Scar swears off dramatic monologues—and immediately proves our point.Along the way, we rank recent holiday pours, daydream about park trips, and admit we need to level up our promos and episode lists. It's playful, a little dark around the edges, and surprisingly reflective about habit change, identity, and the rituals that help us try again. If you love Disney lore, themed cocktails, and character-driven what-ifs, you'll feel right at home.Pour the recipe, press play, and tell us which character would actually keep a resolution this year. If you enjoyed the ride, subscribe, leave a rating, and share this episode with a Disney friend who needs a laugh and a holiday sip. Cheers!

Independent Veteran candidate, retired Army Lieutenant Colonel, PhD, ultra-marathon champion, and living kidney donor Matt Cavanaugh is a damn impressive leader. And he joins Independent Americans host Paul Rieckhoff from Colorado's 5th district for an unfiltered, high-energy conversation on why “America is not okay” and why he believes voters are trapped in another “Alien vs. Predator” election where, if either major party wins, the people lose. From NORAD's backyard in the shadow of Pikes Peak, he makes the case that his home turf—majority independent, home to five military bases and Team USA—is the best district in America for an independent veteran Congressional candidate to break through. Cavanaugh explains why his campaign logo features a buffalo and how American bison running straight into the storm became his metaphor for political courage in a district that's ready to send an independent veteran to Congress. He tears into gerrymandering, shutdowns that burned billions, and a political class that left every newborn with six-figure national debt stapled to their birth certificate, while calling for a new generation of “rational vertebrates” with the backbone to stand up for Article One of the Constitution. Matt and Paul also fly into Matt's living kidney donation—why he voluntarily gave a kidney at Walter Reed to a stranger in Seattle, how that transplant chain saved eight lives and saves taxpayers far more than it costs, and how serving others from combat to transplantation to running for office is his answer to these “times that try men's souls.” Paul opens the episode with a rapid-fire breakdown of Trump's marijuana order and “war dividend” troop checks, the Trump–Kennedy Center rename push, the rising risk of war near Venezuela, Ukraine's 1,390th day of full-scale war, and major movement on extremism inside the Coast Guard, plus culture, sports, and hope—from Avatar and SpongeBob to Football Friday picks, polar bears, skiing with kids, and New York City marathon memories. Kela is an inspiring mama who joins us today sharing her HBA2C story! All three of Kela's pregnancies were planned home births, yet her first two ended in cesarean after long labors labeled “failure to progress”, concerns of chorio, tachycardia, and fever. Though the odds were stacked against her, Kela never let go of the dreamy home birth she knew in her bones was possible. With the support of an incredibly skilled and VBAC-supportive midwife, Kela achieved an incredible home birth after two cesareans! This birth included over nine hours of pushing, continuity of care, and manual cervical scar tissue work during labor. Meagan and Kela dive into more details about cervical scar tissue, something that definitely isn't talked about very much! Kela says, “I knew deep down I could have the vaginal birth I always desired. And I did. It was the farthest thing from easy, but I couldn't have done it without my incredible midwife who owns In Due Season Birth Center. She specializes in VBACs and she believed in me the whole way.”Needed Website: Code VBAC for 20% OffThe Ultimate VBAC Prep Course for ParentsOnline VBAC Doula TrainingSupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/the-vbac-link/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brands

What started as a walk to urgent care ended with the words, ‘you're having a heart attack,' and a truth I never saw coming. An angiogram gone silent, and five blocked arteries that shouldn't have let me stand. Then the doctor's words about my eventual fate - “that was going to be you” - became the line that split my life in two. That surgery didn't just save me. It became the compass I've followed ever since. In this episode, I talk about what changed after that day: eating with intention, moving with purpose, and communicating without yelling, gaslighting, or going to emotional war. That shift carried into fatherhood too. I stopped worrying about who my son might become and started appreciating the boy right in front of me.There's also the peace part and the ongoing lessons that continue to this day. The boundaries I drew, the twisted people I sent to the “cornfield,” and the stress I finally stopped confusing with responsibility. This is a conversation about survival, yes, but more than that, it's about design. How you design your days, your circle, and your energy when you realize you don't get unlimited minutes. It's Here! Welcome back to Beautifully Broken, where healing meets high performance. Today I'm joined by my friend and returning guest George Wiseman, who last appeared in Episode 141 sharing his extraordinary origin story. This time, we take a more advanced dive into hydrogen medicine—specifically the differences between molecular hydrogen (H₂) and Brown's Gas, a unique blend containing hydrogen, oxygen, water vapor, and an electron-rich plasma known as EEW (electronically expanded water).George breaks down how Brown's Gas delivers not only molecular hydrogen but also bioavailable electrons—fuel your body uses to stop oxidative cascades, rebuild tissue, and restore cellular communication. We talk about why H₂ alone doesn't always create a perceptible effect, why Brown's Gas often does, and how these modalities play distinct roles in the ecosystem of healing tools. He shares incredible user stories—from carpal tunnel relief in minutes to a young woman who beat metastasized cancer using Brown's Gas as part of an integrative healing plan.We also explore the new micro-bubbler attachment that infuses bathwater with micro- and nano-bubbles, dramatically increasing gas absorption and accelerating skin repair. Then George reveals the next frontier: a forthcoming AquaCure add-on that allows users to make their own deuterium-depleted water, a therapy shown to support mitochondrial function and metabolic repair. This conversation is equal parts science, innovation, and lived experience—another perspective-shifting journey with one of the most generous inventors in wellness tech. Episode Highlights [00:00] – Hydrogen research overview: inflammation, oxidative stress, and why H₂ is having a moment[02:22] – The AquaCure's unheard-of one-year money-back guarantee[03:38] – Welcoming George back + reflections on the “Beautifully Broken” ethos[05:26] – No device is a panacea: hydrogen as one tool in a larger healing ecosystem[07:53] – A remarkable cancer remission case and how Brown's Gas supported the process[09:16] – Why hydrogen helps nearly every condition studied (and why side effects are positive)[10:27] – What is Brown's Gas? The six constituent gases and how they're formed[11:56] – Discovery of electrically expanded water (EEW): a third gas with unique properties[14:22] – The role of electrons: inflammation reduction, oxidative damage repair, and immune support[16:47] – Brown's Gas during the pandemic: oxygenation, cytokine storms & rapid recovery[19:14] – Why you must stay below a 2% inhalation threshold for safety[21:40] – Hydrogen's role in regeneration: scars, immune restoration, and organ repair[24:08] – External applications: bags, gloves, spot treatments, and rapid nerve relief[26:10] – Hydrogen vs. methane: how microbiome differences shape individual outcomes[28:27] – Why Brown's Gas feels different than H₂—tingles, energy, and nerve activation[30:32] – EZ water (Pollack): how Brown's Gas increases structured water up to 300%[34:42] – Solving medical mysteries: capillary flow, blood pressure, and nutrient transport[39:12] – The problem with “flagged words” in health conversations (structured water, silver, etc.)[45:17] – Dreaming of an NFL-wide recovery experiment (Buffalo Bills, call us!)[47:13] – The new micro-bubbler: micro/nano bubbles, skin repair, and whole-body absorption[52:24] – Scar regeneration, tingling, and my own early bathtub experiment[53:18] – Comparing Brown's Gas to oxygen, CO₂, and other recovery tools[55:44] – Why hydrogen research has shifted to PEM systems—and their limitations[59:42] – Worldwide accessibility: yes, AquaCure ships to New Zealand (and everywhere else)[01:01:47] – Upcoming release: AquaCure's deuterium-depleted water system[01:04:08] – Why DDW matters for metabolism and mitochondrial repair[01:05:28] – Holiday discount: 25% off until December 15, 2025 + upcoming price increase[01:06:51] – Closing gratitude and reminder to support the showGet the AquaCureGeorge Wiseman's AquaCure: https://eagle-research.com/product/ac50-v2/— Code: BEAUTIFULLYBROKENLinks & ResourcesThe Biological Blueprint Program: https://www.beautifullybroken.world/Beam Minerals: http://beamminerals.com/beautifullybroken— Code: BEAUTIFULLYBROKENSilver Biotics: bit.ly/3JnxyDD— 30% off with Code: BEAUTIFULLYBROKENLightPathLED: https://lightpathled.pxf.io/c/3438432/2059835/25794— Code: beautifullybrokenCathcBio https://www.catchbio.com/beautifullybroken— Code: beautifullybrokenStemRegn: https://www.stemregen.co/products/release?_ef_transaction_id=&affid=52&oid=1— Code: beautifullybroken CONNECT WITH FREDDIEWork with Me: https://www.beautifullybroken.world/biological-blueprintWebsite and Store: (http://www.beautifullybroken.world) Instagram: (https://www.instagram.com/beautifullybroken.world/) YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@freddiekimmel Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
