Shake then Double strain into a Collins glass filled with cracked ice. Garnish with a sprig of mint. (helpful hint: roll the mint in your hand before putting it in the shaker. This will release the oils.) This is one of the most classic of the classic cocktails dating back to the 1880's. In our book, it is the perfect cocktail. It is a refreshing, herbaceous, boozy, and appropriate for any occasion and time of the year.
