Spurs finally win! A long-awaited stumble to the finish line sees Spurs all but secure themselves a spot in 5th and an automatic Europa League placing. With Dave off watching Leeds in the playoffs, us Spurs fans take a look back on a well-needed victory with a couple of goals from unlikely sources, before turning our attention to our 'title decider' with Man City and discuss the ethical dilemma it presents. Should we actually want Spurs to lose? There's a Pyliotis family feud as the two cousins give their opposing views on this contentious subject and we look forward to the rest of the season's scheduled matches, before what will be our season finale after the Sheffield Utd match.

It's more pain for Spurs as two defeats leave us clinging on to that 5th spot. Elio rejoins the team to look at both the Chelsea and Liverpool losses and help work out what we can take from both performances and we take this opportunity to look at the larger picture and what these poor performances tell us about what needs to change for next season - as well as what positives we can pull from the wreckage. Yes, it's the Arsenal one. Sadly, despite a wild 5-goal extravaganza, Spurs could not overcome their own shortcomings as a painful defeat to the enemy leaves us analysing our various issues. Enough time has passed that we can look back over the Newcastle thumping without crying and look at it with a level head. Join a full team as we force ourselves to consider the big picture but also what weaknesses this performance illuminates with the future in mind. That future hopefully ends with Spurs finding a real rhythm under Ange but starts with the nail-biting prospect of welcoming recent Champions League departees, Arsenal to our ground in a hope to slash their title hopes and keep our top 4 chase alive (coefficients be damned).

Two games to look back on this week as the Easter schedule fills up. 4 points from 6 for Spurs as a win against Luton and a draw with West Ham see us in pole position for 4th place heading into the last couple of months of the season. Dags, Dave and Elio take a good look at both games, analysing a few performers who have been on the receiving end of criticism lately as well as the bigger tactical picture - does Ange have a 'Plan B'? Are we improving? There's also a look ahead to Forest, some chat about the financial results and the usual other Spursy business.

One whole solid hour of us talking almost exclusively about how much we hate Arsenal Football club.  Why? Because there was no game, the England match was boring and because we can. Dags, Socs and Dave bring you this week's episode as Elio is spared the chore of unpicking a horrible 3-0 defeat to Fulham fresh off the back of such an encouraging win at Villa Park. We try our best to ascertain exactly how Spurs managed to play it quite so Spursily and what this means for the short term and for the bigger picture - with a slight glance forward to next season and Phase 2 of the Big Ange project. There's all the usual unplanned pitstops and deviations along the way as we continue to find new and innovative ways to distract ourselves from the pain of describing a Spurs defeat.

The good times are back! Dave calls in sick, presumably in an attempt to avoid our insufferable delight as Spurs roll back the months to happier times with our most dominant and important win for some time - perhaps not coincidentally achieved by a lineup resembling that of the pre-Chelsea meltdown era. Dags, Elio and Socs take great joy in dissecting each goal and all the major players, taking time to praise nearly every player on the pitch and their collection of wonderful contributions (including John McGinn's), as we never know quite how long this feeling will last. There's also a fairly appalling preview of the Fulham game in the absence of our regular opposition scout - typical Big 6 fans stuck in our own bubble. Speaking of appalling - we also get stuck in to the latest developments brought about by ENIC that will see season ticket prices rise and senior concessions impacted and exactly what we think of all that. A lot to get out teeth into this week and we attack it with all the zest of a rattled Scotsman scything down a runaway young left back. We hope you enjoy listening along.

Just like Spurs' winning goals at the weekend, this week's PDP comes slightly later than ideally scheduled but we do our best to review another strong second half showing to see off a particularly unthreatening Palace side and complete a double over them this season. Dags, Elio, Socs and Dave break down a good win and one that leaves us chasing the tails of our next opponents, Aston Villa - in the developing battle for that all-important 4th (or is it 5th?) spot for the CL places - before we look ahead to that enticing Super Sunday fixture. There's also a brand new, possibly semi-permanent and certainly extra obnoxious feature introduced early on that I'm sure you will all hate or love - we're still not sure. Enjoy!

It's quiz time! Without a match or much particularly interesting Spurs chat to get through, we decided not to leave you empty handed this week (because we love you, listeners) and instead bring you a quiz all about Spurs' season so far. Elio, Socs and Dave fight it out to be named quiz champion in a fast paced, chaotic, poorly officiated, horribly planned and disgustingly corrupt trivia extravaganza. The only thing worse than the quality of the quiz itself is the quality of the actual audio - this week coming to you in a virtually unedited, raw and compressed format (due to technical difficulties) which we think actually adds to the charm of this dumpster fire of a podcast. Controversy, comeback and comical buzzers - this quiz has it all, except for a competent quiz master. Try and play along at home and see if you would have beaten the winner's score!

Wolves have done it to us again - after another false dawn both in terms of form and fitness, Spurs find themselves on the receiving end of a second 2-1 defeat at the hands of Wolves this season, once again with key players missing and others still on the mend.  Dags, Elio, Socs and Dave sift through the rubble after a disappointing loss that leaves us just outside of the top 4 with a resurgent Man United breathing down our necks. There are selection headaches ahead of upcoming games, discussions focussing on specific offenders within the team and some chat about how to fix our problems in the short-term through some tactical tweaks and in the long-term through some targeted transfers. Aussie's dream is over! Spurs are down to just one competition left to play for and will sadly have to settle for winning 'the single'. In a slightly patched up PDP team, in the absence of Elio and Dave, Dags is joined by Socs and the team's long serving producer/sound guy/tech support and occasional editor, Petros - guest on a few episodes of days gone by, who has come armed with his thoughts on Man City, a lot of stats and even some nice words for the pod. The team weighs in on a disappoint but probably deserved cup exit and looks ahead to the final few days of the January window as well as a clash with Brentford who sadly look to be signing Antonio Nusa despite our lovely discussion of him as a prospect for us! Season's greetings to you all and thanks for patiently awaiting the festive return of the PDP. Santa delivered 3 points to Spurs in one of his more generous gifts of the year but it would have taken a Christmas miracle to bring us back from a 4-0 deficit against Brighton in the following fixture. We analyse both games and take a look at our ever-evolving crisis and the prospect of a challenging January with many players missing and look at how we could shape up by combining the ruins of our current squad with any likely new acquisitions in the mid-season window. Also on this week's show, a tribute to our departing club legend, former captain and era-defining goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris who prepares to swap N17 for Los Angeles. As if the episode title wasn't warning enough, as always, listener discretion is advised.

Spurs string together back-to-back wins for the first since October and all is well again with the world - almost. A full Plus Dave team brings you its analysis this week, looking at the slightly less convincing acquisition of 3 points this time around at the cost of yet more suspensions. We look over the 2-0 win at Forest with a spotlight on Dejan Kulusevski and another on Yves Bissouma - for different reasons. There's also a look ahead to upcoming fixtures with the seemingly unbreachable Everton visiting next weekend before a trip down to Brighton. There are more than the usual number of random tangents regular listeners have become accustomed to this week and Elio's voice battles bravely against a sore throat, managing, incredibly, to talk just as much as he usually does despite sounding like the lovechild of Sean Dyche and Marge Simpson.

We are so back! Tottenham come away with an impressive win and an even more impressive performance against highly-fancied Newcastle (albeit a tired and depleted version) to end our run of 5 games without a win. With no Elio this week, a returning Dags is joined by Socs and Dave to discuss, arguably, our best outing of the season so far (as well as a slightly less exciting match against West Ham a few days earlier). It's one of those games where we cant help but go through player by player and give them their due adoration so be prepared for that. There's also a lengthy discussion about the Cuti dilemma, a look ahead to the rest of our busy December schedule and a strange amount of Harry Maguire chat.

With Dags off sunning himself in Barbados, Elio takes over as host for the post-match analysis of Spurs' death-defying draw at the Ethihad against last year's treble winners Manchester City. As well as taking a few moments to look at the controverial refereeing decision at the end, and just how little Socs actually cares after a long history of Pedro Mendes and Lasanga-Gates in his Spurs watching career. We also look forward to West Ham's Cup Final against us next week and the looming threat of the dangerous resurgent Newcastle United.

Spurs lose again but at least this time we lose with style. Join an unusually chirpy 3-man team, given the circumstances, this week as we discuss what is our third defeat in a row and quite possibly the third of four with Man City looming. Elio takes a week off but was still kind enough to send in a few clips of his thoughts on Sunday's loss, while Dags, Socs and Dave discuss a match that many feel could and perhaps should have been a home win, showing plenty of positive signs - not least, a particularly attacking and exciting lineup. This week the Plus Dave welcomes an extra special guest - a familiar voice to some of you no doubt, and one of the founding fathers of Spurs podcasting - host of the excellent The Extra Inch Spurs podcast and huge inspiration for the PDP - Chris 'Windy' Miller. Windy joins Dags, Elio, Socs and Dave in a fully loaded team tasked with keeping you all entertained this international break. In this special episode, we take a chance to look back over life under Ange so far, how the reality has strayed from the expectation, what the long term future might hold for this exciting squad and what the near-term future might bring in the midst of our mini crisis. We talk tactics, squad depth, signings and the long game in this mid-season debrief. Plus Dave returns for a snappy one this week as Elio spends a week on the sidelines - there's only so much we can fill in for his monologues after all! Join Dags, Socs and Dave as we look back on a tough late defeat to Wolves making it back-to-back losses to bring the Postecoglou honeymoon to a firm end. We discuss the evident impact of our injury/suspension crisis and how that might affect us across a difficult lineup of matches to lead us into Christmas. We also take a quick look ahead to the Villa game after the break and see how we might approach that one and the challenges they may pose.

Our dream start has hit a major bump in the road. After flying out the blocks against Chelsea, the match fell apart in bizarre and spectacular fashion in an eventual 4-1 home defeat to our old boss that leaves us missing 4 key players for varying lengths of time through suspension and injury. Through all this though, there remains a sense of positivity and pride in the way we still went for it and we are, of course, still right up there in the league with some positive to take. The usual team try their hardest to go through the countless major talking points in an incredible London derby and provide their thoughts and feelings following our first loss of the Premier League season. Join us for for an emotionally-charged, action-packed and foul-mouthed adventure, befitting of one of the maddest games we have ever seen. 

Another week, another win as Spurs find themselves (temporarily at least) 5 points clear at the top, but still out on their own at the top of the league, 10 games in. We're still not getting ahead of ourselves though, as we take it one game at a time... This week it's Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park who did their best to make the soaring Spurs look fairly average for large parts of the 90 minutes but our quality showed through in the end. We look over that game and how it played out before looking ahead to a huge fixture as our old friend Pochettino looks to lead Chelsea out on our turf and take us on in our own nightclub/fortress in just over a week's time. We discuss the impending welcome that awaits our old boss and also take a trip back to the Poch days to ponder what kind of match we could expect and where it will be won and lost - there are some bold predictions and some strong language (what else is new?)

With only the slightest hint of tongue in cheek and varying degrees of conviction we talk about out credentials to be up there in May, what might have to happen to give us a shot (short of an injury crisis at the Etihad and Spurs signing Jude Bellingham in January) and what we are doing right to give us even the faintest right to dream. We also take this opportunity to go on a very short trip down memory lane and look back at this excellent start to the season with some of the dust having settled, with clear(ish) heads to assess the story so far, highlight the big surprises, the key statistics and how it's left us all feeling as Spurs fans/Spurs sympathisers. We all know we probably won't keep this up all season and we probably won't go on to win the actual Premier League... ...but seriously though what if we could?

The Spurs go marching on! Once again we didn't make it easy for ourselves but the important thing is we got the win, we got the three points and it's enough to sail off into the international break top of the league as we pray for most of our players to make it back in one piece. Dave takes the week off as, presumably, Spurs winning repeatedly is starting to bore him - leaving Dags, Elio and Socs to discuss a hard-fought 1-0 away win at Premier League new boys Luton Town. We discuss a frantic opening 10 minutes, a needless Bissouma red card and of course big Micky's first goal in our shirt capping off another outstanding outing. There's also a look ahead to Fulham and how we might shape up Bissouma-less-ly for that one. Finally - just for good measure - a round of Challenge Elio is thrown in right at the end. Spurs are anything but boring right now as we manage to secure a massive 3 points in a home match against 9-man Liverpool thanks to the help of some lovely Angeball (and our own 12th man in Stockley Park). Some say Liverpool had this one coming - we discuss all this and more after an exciting 2-1 victory that leaves us as one of just two unbeaten teams left in the league and right up there in the mix at the top of that tree. Elio is back to his brilliant, pompous best with a stunning trademark rant aimed at Liverpool and their fans, showing quite how little sympathy he has for the Merseysiders. We discuss some of the usual suspects pulling out yet more outstanding performances and go over all the controversial (or not so controversial) decisions and we flirt with the idea of letting ourselves dream - if just for the briefest of moments. Spurs survive a trip to the Emirates! Not only do they survive, but they come out with their heads held high, leaving many of us a renewed sense of optimism for the season ahead. To help us discuss the match and the efforts of Ange's young superstars this week is a star of the present and future - podcasting prodigy and FCA-award nominee Harry Scarfe. Harry makes his Plus Dave debut in a huge week and settles right in like he's been doing this for decades, showing us old dogs how it's done.  As a passionate advocate for raising awareness and campaigning for extra support to autistic and neurodiverse individuals - in football and beyond - Harry tells us more about his efforts in this area as well as his own unique experience growing up as a Spurs fan with autism and what Spurs specifically are doing to support our neurodiverse fanbase. We bring you our thoughts on a hard-fought and well-deserved point away to Arsenal and look ahead to a similarly challenging proposition in Liverpool next weekend. Well Spurs, you sure know how to keep things interesting! We're back this week with a (relatively) regular episode to discuss a thoroughly irregular ending to our home game against Sheffield Utd - adding to our illustrious trophy cabinet with a new record for the latest comeback in Premier League history (a record we took from ourselves, of course) Dags, Elio, Socs and Dave discuss the drama and everything that led to it, before turning their attention to the big one next weekend - the dreaded NLD at the Emirates. Is this the year we reverse our fortunes? Does Angeball have enough might to outwit Arteta and his latest experimental lineup? While this week is slightly more professional than last week (a low bar if ever there was one) - rest assured, the poise and composure take a fairly sharp nosedive towards the end - where, just as it did around the 97th minute at the weekend, everything gets just a little bit silly. We have bold predictions, in-depth analysis, foul language and even a good old-fashioned Challenge Elio for the veterans among you.

Happy birthday to the Plus Dave Podcast - as we turn 2 years old, we celebrate in this special episode by throwing all semblance of structure out the window - waving goodbye to anything remotely approaching intelligent, professional football debate and conducting ourselves with all the maturity you would expect of your typical 2nd birthday party. Rather than discussing movement in the transfer window, our players' performances in the international break or our upcoming ties with Sheffield United and Arsenal, we instead wade through a pile of questions from listeners, friends and even Chat GPT, ranging from the thought-provoking to the utterly ridiculous, often both at the same time and everything in between.
