This summer, we are exploring the ways God interrupts ordinary life to invite people into something truer, deeper, and more life-giving. In Scripture and in our own stories, God's interruptions are rarely convenient but often transformative. Together, we will learn to notice how God meets us in disrupted plans, shifting expectations, and unexpected moments. This is not a series about disruption for its own sake. It is about trusting that God is at work even when life feels uncertain or unsettled. As we slow down and pay attention, we begin to see that his interruptions are often invitations into something better than we would have chosen on our own. Sometimes the most meaningful change in our lives begins with an interruption we did not expect, but deeply need.
Jesus doesn't recruit admirers. He interrupts lives.
Most people never imagine that God could use them in a significant way. We look at the great men and women of Scripture and assume they were born different. Stronger faith. Greater confidence. More talent. More preparation. But when you study the Bible closely, you discover something powerful: God often…

This week covers a lot of ground, but a single thread runs through all of it: the West's remarkable ability to undermine itself while convinced it is doing the opposite. We start with Trump's visit to China, a summit that was months in the making and amounted to little beyond beef export quotas and Boeing orders. While Xi received Trump, Putin, and twelve other world leaders this year in Beijing, the United States arrived without preparation, without serious agreements, and without a strategic framework. The gap between American destructive capacity and American diplomatic influence has rarely been more visible. Then we turn to Israeli Minister Ben Gvir's decision to film and publish a video of himself touring a detention facility where flotilla activists were held, taunting them for an audience back home. Netanyahu's response, sandwiched between references to Hamas terrorist supporters and deportation orders, managed to make things worse. We examine what this moment reveals, not just about Ben Gvir, but about where Israel is as a country, and why its current trajectory is a threat to its own security far more than to anyone else's.Finally, Modi's European tour ran into the predictable obstacle: a continent that wants new partners but cannot resist lecturing them first. Europe succeeded only in signalling moral superiority to a domestic audience while making it more difficult to connect with India. This podcast is an individual project between us, Dario Hasenstab and Balder Hageraats. This powerful message takes us into Acts chapter 8, where we encounter the remarkable story of Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch—a narrative that reminds us God works primarily through ordinary people in their ordinary moments. The central lesson challenges our desire for control and predictability: God interrupts our routines, obedience opens doors, and courage multiplies hope. We see Philip called away from a thriving ministry in Samaria to a barren desert road, which seems counterintuitive until we understand that God's disruptions are actually divine directions. The Ethiopian official represents something profound—that success does not equal significance. Despite his wealth and position, he was spiritually searching, reading Isaiah but unable to understand without guidance. Philip's simple willingness to run toward the chariot, listen, and ask one question—'Do you understand what you're reading?'—became the doorknob that opened the door to salvation. We're reminded that we're not the door to people's faith; Jesus is. We're simply doorknobs, instruments God uses to open possibilities. The urgency in this story is palpable: delayed obedience is disobedience. The challenge before us is identifying our 'one'—that person God has placed in our path who needs us to walk alongside them. This isn't about having all the answers or special training; it's about opening our mouths and letting the Holy Spirit do His work through our availability.Subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@CelebrateChurchCelebrate Church is led by Pastor Noah Rollins. Following Jesus is not a Sunday activity but a call that interrupts the control you try to maintain over your daily schedule and personal plans. Ultimately, when Jesus interrupts your life, he is not trying to be a nuisance but is inviting you to stop being a spectator and start participating in his mission to change the world.
First Kings is filled with kings who compromise, leaders who fail, and people who drift from God in ways that feel painfully familiar. From Solomon's divided heart to Ahab's destructive choices, the story does not hide the consequences of leadership, disobedience, and misplaced trust. But First Kings is not only a record of failure. It is also a story where hope keeps breaking through. In this episode, we reflect on the major themes of First Kings and the way God continues to meet people in the middle of their mess. We talk about the weight of leadership, the role of prayer and fasting, the danger of spiritual drift, and the mercy that remains available even when people have wandered far from where they were meant to be.This conversation invites us to ask:What do our choices reveal?Where have we confused intensity with sincerity? And what might it look like to return to God before failure has the final word?
Her Soul Purpose Show: Sharing Jesus & Tough Topics of Womanhood
Have you ever felt like God was nudging you somewhere, but you had no idea where "there" actually was? That's exactly where today's guest found herself. In this episode, I sit down with author and missionary Robyn Pratt, and honestly? Her story stopped me in my tracks.Robyn opens up about a moment in her freshman year of college that changed the entire direction of her life, and how that one moment of saying yes eventually led her to years of missionary work in Indonesia with Mission Aviation Fellowship. But here's what I love most about this conversation: it's not a highlight reel. Robyn gets real about the waiting, the uncertainty, and what it actually looks like to follow God when you can't see the next step.We talk about how to recognize God's voice when life feels loud, why the "in-between" seasons aren't wasted time, and how to loosen your grip on the plan you thought you had.If you've been sitting with that quiet tug on your heart….. but fear, patience, or the need to have it all figured out is holding you back, this one's for you.Robyn's story is a reminder that obedience doesn't require a perfect map. It just requires a willing heart.Robyn is a former missionary with Mission Aviation Fellowship in Indonesia and current children's ministry coordinator at Liberty Bible Church in Chesterton, Indiana, also a wife of 22 years to a hubby in law enforcement, and mom of two teenage daughters. Life has never been boring, and God has taught her about Himself on each and every adventure. She loves to share what she has learned to help women understand that God is trustworthy when He calls them to a new adventure.Connect with our guest:Website: http://robynprattauthor.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/share/15khfBLHqn/; On a Wing and a Prayer book: https://amzn.to/4cfqNDZ Connect with me:Braided Faith IG: http://www.instagram.com/braidedfaith/ Cryssie Addis IG: https://www.instagram.com/cryssie.addis/Novel & Mug IG: http://www.instagram.com/novelandmugBraided Faith FB: http://www.facebook.com/groups/braidedfaith Braided Faith Website: www.braidedfaith.comNovel & Mug Website: http://www.novelandmug.com The Wellness Box: http://www.thewellnessbox.shop

Pastor Robert Tisdale preaches at Tampa Life Church about a “special season of visitation” and God's interruptions, sharing a personal moment of sensing God's presence at home and a past struggle with seeking angelic encounters before choosing to pursue Jesus instead. He celebrates the church's recent growth, citing over 100 baptisms and many filled with the Holy Spirit, and urges the congregation to steward what God is doing rather than spectate. Using Acts 10, he highlights how God prepared both Cornelius and Peter, then poured out the Holy Ghost on Gentiles “while Peter yet spake,” showing God is not confined to human tradition, timing, or process. He teaches that the Spirit falls on surrendered faith, is confirmed audibly (speaking in tongues), confronts bias and control, and calls people to pre-commit to respond when the Spirit moves.00:00 Marked By Presence00:24 Angel In The House01:48 Chasing Angel Sightings05:15 Genesis Reality Check06:38 Visitation And Baptisms07:48 God Interrupts Plans11:09 Cornelius And Peter Setup14:56 Holy Ghost Falls Mid Sermon20:19 God Breaks The Pattern22:19 Who Gets The Spirit23:47 Breaking Shame Barriers24:09 God Bypasses the System25:04 Faith Changes in a Moment26:53 Whosoever Believes28:18 Tongues as Evidence30:08 Why God Makes It Public35:04 Shattering Religious Boxes37:49 Make Room for God41:43 Surrender the Need to Explain44:18 The Veto Window47:40 Pre Commitment Response48:14 Altar Call Breakthrough
Angel opens the episode with a slice-of-life moment — a dented passenger-side mirror that could have ruined the day. Instead of anger, she chooses a different path: pause, perspective, and prayer. Through candid storytelling, a childhood hum of “this little light of mine,” and a grounding reminder from James 1:19, Angel turns an ordinary annoyance into a lesson on peace. Listeners are invited into a moment of honest reflection, a short prayer, and a simple question: is it worth losing your peace? Compact, warm, and faith-filled, this episode shows how the smallest interruptions can become openings for grace.
In our reading we hear about the calling of Saul to proclaim the Gospel. There's plenty of pre-call Saul energy in the world right now. It's the reliance on certainty and control. And it is destructive. And Jesus interrupts this, offering Saul a new path forward. And he does the same for each of us. The sermon is based on Acts 9:1-19.

Coaching with RebekahDiscipleship Membership - The WellHave you ever had a moment where everything felt good… and then suddenly, out of nowhere, something shifts?A heaviness. A sense of emptiness. A kind of darkness that is hard to explain. If you haven, you aren't alone. In this episode, we're talking about those moments. Not just as emotional dips, but as something deeper. What if, at times, we are brushing up against the reality of a broken world? What if those experiences are not something to fear or fix immediately, but something to understand? We'll look at how Scripture speaks to this tension, why we often struggle to name it, and what to actually do when those moments hit. This is not an episode about staying positive. It's about learning how to stay anchored in truth when things feel unsettled and even dark. If you've ever wondered, “What is wrong with me?” in moments like this… this episode will help you put language to it and point you back to what is true.

In this episode of Beth of Fresh Air, I'm getting into one of the most powerful aspects of deprogramming:The pattern interrupt. If you've been following along, you know I've been spending time with the work of G. I. Gurdjieff—and for someone who rarely finds great resonance in other systems, I've found a surprising amount of common ground. One of his key insights:For anything to change…it needs an injection of energy.A shock.Without it, patterns continue.Mechanically. Predictably. Repeatedly. In my work as a deprogramming and archetype coach, I'm essentially a professional pattern interruptor. In this episode, I'll explore:What an interrupt actually is (and what it's not)Why patterns don't shift on their ownThe role of “shock” in transformationHow to catch patterns in real time, not just in hindsightThe nuance (and danger) of trying to interrupt other people's patterns
Fear is one of the most natural human responses to uncertainty. When our plans fall apart, the instinct to worry, panic, or imagine the worst can take over almost instantly. But what if the way we respond to those moments is not automatic? What if it's actually a choice?A recent experience reminded me of this truth in a very real way. When unexpected travel disruptions left me stranded in another country, I was faced with a decision many of us encounter in difficult situations: would I respond with fear, or with faith?Scripture has long taught that faith can bring peace even in uncertain circumstances. And now, modern neuroscience shows something similar. When we intentionally choose trust, prayer, and reflection, it can calm the brain's fear response and help us regulate the stress and anxiety that uncertainty often triggers. How does faith help calm the mind and body in moments of uncertainty? In this episode, I share how choosing faith over fear can transform the way we respond to challenges, and why this daily choice can strengthen resilience in the face of life's unpredictable moments.Things You'll Learn In This Episode Fear is the default responseThe brain is wired to detect threats and activate a rapid stress response. Why can this survival mechanism leave us stuck in cycles of anxiety when we face uncertainty today? What happens when fear takes overWhen the brain's alarm system dominates, it can suppress the part of the brain responsible for reasoning and emotional regulation. How does this “amygdala hijack” shape the way we react to stressful situations?Faith can calm the mind and bodySpiritual practices such as prayer and reflection can help regulate the brain's stress response. How do faith and neuroscience point to similar pathways for building resilience?About Your HostHosted by Dr. Deepa Grandon, MD, MBA, a triple board-certified physician with over 23 years of experience working as a Physician Consultant for influential organizations worldwide. Fiona (19) says she's finally happy… but her dad has “gone psycho” because her boyfriend is 40. He won't let him near the house, makes her get picked up around the corner, and has even threatened to “beat the shit out of him”. So is the father just protecting his daughter, or interfering in an adult relationship? Adrian argues that once she's being treated with respect, age shouldn't matter — while callers say it's “creepy”, “predatory” and a massive red flag. Plus, a twist when a message comes in from Fiona's mother claiming they actually started dating when Fiona was still in school.

Send us Fan MailThere are seasons in life when we become so busy—even with good things—that we can stop listening. Modern life makes it easy. Work piles up. Responsibilities multiply. The to‑do list is growing faster than we can cross things off. And before we realise it, the noise of life has drowned out the voice of the Lord. And—perhaps most surprisingly—it can happen in ministry as well. You can become so involved in the work of the Lord that you forget the Lord of the work. You can be doing the right thing, for the right reasons, and still lose sight of the One you're doing it for. There is a moment in the Old Testament that captures this perfectly. A moment when God interrupts His own building project to remind His people what matters most. Two weeks ago, I missed a podcast episode, my email newsletter, and my social media posts. For the first time in years. And I felt awful about it. In this episode, I'm talking about what happens when life interrupts your marketing rhythm. The guilt. The doubt gremlin. The pressure we put on ourselves to always show up perfectly. And most importantly, what to actually do when you're ready to come back. This isn't about hustle. It's about capacity. It's about being human. Hey friend, Have you finally started exercising — only to lose consistency when life got hard? Do flare-ups, fatigue, or sickness derail your movement routine? Do you feel discouraged every time you lose momentum with exercise? You started exercising consistently. Then a flare hit. Or sickness hit your house. Or sleep disruption wrecked your energy. And suddenly your movement routine disappeared. This episode is about what to do when life interrupts your exercise consistency. Inside, we talk about: Why losing consistency is often a capacity shift — not a discipline issue How stress and poor sleep increase fatigue and make exercise feel harder Why pushing harder after a break often backfires How to restart smaller so exercise becomes repeatable What counts as movement on fatigue and flare days How to create a simple “movement plan” based on energy levels If you've ever wondered, “How do I stay consistent with exercise in real life?” This episode will give you a realistic framework that actually fits chronic illness and neurodivergent parenting. I'm Ashley — a mom living with chronic illness in a neurodiverse family. If you're dealing with constant fatigue, brain fog, inflammation, and broken sleep while trying to keep up with your kids, you're not alone. This podcast is for chronic illness moms raising neurodivergent kids who want stress relief, better sleep, and simple, realistic habits to finally feel better in their bodies. Each episode shares nervous-system-friendly support to help you calm overwhelm, boost energy, and practice healthy habits that improve your symptoms — even in the middle of a full, demanding life. Sometimes the most loving thing God can do is interrupt our plans and reroute our expectations. Ray, E.Z., Mark, and Oscar explore how divine disruptions are not accidents or setbacks but intentional moments in which God breaks into ordinary life to accomplish eternal purposes. The guys explain that trials and detours are not problems to escape but pathways God uses to shape trust, deepen faith, and redirect hearts. Ray shares how his own salvation was an unplanned interruption, reminding listeners that without Christ, humanity remains helpless and lost. Yet, God steps in at the precise moment to change everything. The guys reflect on how Scripture reframes interruptions as invitations rather than inconveniences. Drawing from the life of Jesus, they note that even when Christ sought rest, He responded to interruptions with compassion and obedience to the Father's will. E.Z. shares how unmet expectations challenged him to examine whether his worship depended on outcomes or on trust in God's character. The guys emphasize that God is not punishing His people in these moments but positioning them, and that believers often misunderstand their relationship with God as contractual instead of covenantal. True devotion flows from trusting that God directs every step, even when plans unravel. They move on to the reality that what feels like disruption is often providence unfolding. The guys highlight biblical examples such as Joseph, whose life spiraled from favor to suffering before God used him to preserve many lives. They stress that believers see only a chapter while God sees the entire story. Jesus is presented as the fulfillment of every faithful figure in Scripture, the true and better Adam, Abraham, Jacob, Moses, and Job. These truths are meant to lead to worship, as theology rightly understood draws hearts toward awe and surrender, especially in seasons of chaos. Finally, the guys warn against resisting God's interruptions, pointing to Jonah as an example of obedience delayed by bitterness. They remind listeners that idols often hide behind expected outcomes and that God's primary work is to shape the heart, not to guarantee success. Every no from God is framed as kindness, every hardship as purposeful, and every interruption as an expression of grace. The cross itself stands as the ultimate divine disruption, reshaping eternity through suffering and redemption. The guys wrap up by calling believers to perseverance, gratitude, and trust, confident that God is for His people, too wise to be mistaken, and too good to be unkind.Send us a textThanks for listening! Divine interruptions often feel like setbacks, but Scripture reveals them as invitations to deeper trust and worship. Ray, E.Z., Mark, and Oscar explore how God lovingly disrupts plans, trials, and expectations to accomplish purposes far greater than we can see. They explain that what feels like chaos is often God positioning His people rather than punishing them, and that faith is revealed most clearly when plans unravel. Drawing from biblical examples, they show how God uses suffering, detours, and delays to shape character and display His glory. The cross stands as the ultimate disruption, in which what appeared defeated became the means of salvation. Ultimately, believers are called to receive interruptions with gratitude, surrender expected outcomes, and trust that God is for them and working all things together for good.Send us a textThanks for listening!
