Nottingham Forest, thirty nine days after appointing him, have decided to part ways with new first team coach Big Ange Postecoglou. After a torrid start to his Nottingham Forest career, the game at the weekend against Chelsea represented an opportunity to get the ship in right direction. But three second half goals sunk all hopes and left Big Ange out of another job in English football. Harry Maguire's header sent Liverpool to their third straight loss in the Premier League and fourth in a row total. An unbelievable blip in form from the champions after such a blistering start to the league campaign. Arsenal score yet another set piece and Spur lose at home to Villa. Liverpool slumped to a fourth successive defeat for the first time in almost 11 years as their miserable run of form continued with a disappointing reverse against Manchester United. Harry Maguire scored the winner late on after Cody Gakpo had deservedly equalised a controversial opener from Bryan Mbeumo in only the second minute. Ste and Rio get together to bask in the glory of beating rivals Liverpool at Anfield. There's analysis of specific tactics that Amorim employed to unsettle the Champions' defence and Rio discusses why Mbuemo and Cunha cause Virgil Van Dijk so many problems. After scoring the winner, there's special praise for Harry Maguire and also Casemiro for showing resilience and the mentality to regain their place in the team when it could have been easier to leave the club.Rio details the importance of new goalkeeper Senne Lammens and how his performances have stabilised the rest of the team. With an important match against Brighton next up, Rio questions whether the pragmatic, difficult-to-beat approach will be sustainable at Manchester United and Ste discusses whether the fans would allow that style of play to become more commonplace over the next few months as Amorim continues to develop the squad.Rio also suggests that Florian Wirtz will be questioning his summer transfer to Liverpool and details why Liverpool's tactics are contributing to Alexander Isak's early struggles. #812 | Ed and Wayne celebrate Manchester United's 3-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao in the Europa League. We expected a tough night but instead, led by the irrepressible Bruno Fernandes, Harry Maguire's sublime dribbling skills and Casimiro's renaissance, United secured a memorable victory. What a night! The hosts also talk about the implications of victory, which leaves United on the verge of another Europa League final - tp be played in the same San Mames stadium.

Harry Maguire, we have now established, can do anything he wishes. From ball-winning centre-half, to aerial target man, to tricksy winger... After a nervy first twenty minutes in Bilbao, Maguire (wide on the right) turned, turned again, and delivered the cross which Casemiro eventually headed home. Then came the Bruno show. A nerveless penalty, won by Rasmus Hojlund, before bursting through to add a third first-half goal, the skipper's stats are astonishing. More importantly, Manchester United are on the brink of a Europa League final. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

The short version is that Ruben Amorim's Manchester United beat Lyon to progress to the Europa League semi-finals, where they will face Athletic Club. The long version... wow! Cruising at 2-0 after an hour, the team suffered not one but two implosions; the first to take the game to extra time, then another to find themselves four-two down against ten men. Strikerless, subs used, needing a miracle; Amorim got three. Casemiro won a penalty, converted by his captain (the 5,000th Utd goal at Old Trafford), and the Brazilian then laid on goals for makeshift strikers Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire, leaving the stadium, and fans watching on TV around the world, in equal measures of disbelief and rapture. Welcome in for another edition of the Morning Espresso from the SDH Network, brought to you by Oglethorpe University, Atlanta's premier undergraduate learning experience and soccer powerhouse. One of the wildest comebacks in the history of Manchester United might not just save their season, but might just save their status as an elite-level club as the Red Devils were trailing 4-2 to Lyon in extra time with less than 10 minutes to play and they came all the way back to win 5-4 on the night and 7-6 on aggregate. Non-forwards who were pressed into attacking roles Kobbie Mainoo & Harry Maguire scored the goals that leveled it and won it. Of course the Champions League final comeback win is going to be bigger, but there isn't a more shocking comeback and from a deeper position in a meaningful match that I can remember. Spurs continue on in the Europa League as well and Ange Postecoglou is enjoying sticking it to his critics after they knocked out Eintracht Frankfurt. Could it be an all-England Europa League final? Sputs have to get past Norwegian champs Bodo/Glimt while Manchester United will face Athletic Club de Bilbao. All MLS matches this weekend are tomorrow and the highlight is Columbus hosting Miami in Cleveland. Both teams are unbeaten, but Miami does have to think about Thursday's trip to Vancouver for the first leg of the Concacaf Champions Cup semifinals. Some other tasty matchups this weekend, be on the lookout for this week's MLS Six Pack later today on the SDH Network.UEFA Women's Champions League semifinals start this weekend with former Arsenal manager Joe Montemurro leading his Lyon side against the Gunners while Chelsea and Barcelona meet for the third straight year at this stage. Barcelona have won the last two, but Sonia Bompastor will continue the Quadruple-chase for the Blues. African Champions League semifinals also start this weekend as two Egyptian clubs, Al Ahly who have won 4 of the last 5 titles and Pyramids, face two South Africa clubs in Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates, respectively. First legs in South Africa this weekend, second legs next Friday in Cairo. According to Spanish reports, Jurgen Klopp has agreed to speak with Real Madrid about their coaching job that is expected to be open after the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona next weekend. Carlo Ancelotti is still in the sights of Brazil, who want him in place before the June World Cup qualifiers. More to come on this, but Georgia Impact sent the SDH Network a statement about their inclusion in WPSL Pro, the new women's second division professional league launching next year. "For too long female soccer players thought the end of the road was after 4 years in college. Now we can offer them the opportunity to live their dream by making it as a professional soccer player," said Robert Roddie, the Georgia Impact head coach. Their season at the amateur level of the WPSL starts very soon in Canton, coverage coming shortly all over the SDH Network as they start their preparations for becoming a professional club in 2026. More Espresso on Monday on the SDH Network, presented by Oglethorpe University.
