The panel are back on Last Word On Spurs in another busy week around Hotspur Way as Tottenham have signed defender Marcos Senesi on a free transfer following his departure from Bournemouth. The 29-year-old will officially complete his move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 1 July, subject to international clearance. Senesi, capped three times by Argentina, decided to leave Bournemouth earlier in the season after rejecting three contract offers from the club. The centre-back - who has also just been included in Argentina's squad for this summer. We also reacted to the news that Tottenham have confirmed that Ben Davies has signed a new contract with the club, while Yves Bissouma is leaving as a free agent. Davies joined Spurs from Swansea City in 2014 and will now extend his stay in north London into a 13th season, having made 363 appearances for the club to date. Only 20 players have played more matches for Tottenham in their history, including Davies' former team-mates Heung-min Son, Hugo Lloris, Harry Kane and Eric Dier. Spurs did not confirm the length of Davies' new deal, but widespread reports on Wednesday said it was a one-year extension. As one player commits there future, one departs as but there was no new deal for Bissouma, who played the full 90 minutes in the Bilbao showpiece. Bissouma made 111 appearances for Spurs after arriving from Brighton in 2022, scoring two goals – both of which came in the Premier League in 2024-25. We reflect on the potential Bissouma had and why that quite never materialised during his time at Spurs. We close on Spurs' pursuit of both Jan Paul Van Hecke and Savinho and whether we feel both deals will eventually be completed. fWotD Episode 3324: UEFA Euro 2016 final Welcome to featured Wiki of the Day, your daily dose of knowledge from Wikipedia's finest articles. The featured article for Thursday, 11 June 2026, is UEFA Euro 2016 final. The UEFA Euro 2016 final was the final match of UEFA Euro 2016, the fifteenth edition of the European Championship, UEFA's quadrennial competition for national football teams. The match was played at the Stade de France in Paris, France, on 10 July 2016, and was contested between Portugal and hosts France. The 24-team tournament began with a group stage, from which 16 teams qualified for the knockout stage. En route to the final, Portugal finished third in Group F, with draws against Iceland, Austria and Hungary. Portugal then defeated Croatia in the last 16, Poland in the quarter-finals after a penalty shoot-out, and progressed to the final after beating Wales 2–0 in the semi-finals. Meanwhile, France finished as winners of Group A, beating Romania and Albania before drawing with Switzerland. In the knockout stage, France defeated the Republic of Ireland in the last 16, Iceland in the quarter-finals, and progressed to the final after beating Germany 2–0 in the semi-finals.The final took place in front of 75,868 spectators, and was refereed by English official Mark Clattenburg. Following a goalless 90 minutes which saw Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo depart the match through injury, Portugal then took the lead in the 108th minute through substitute Eder, after his low shot from 25 yards (23 m) beat France goalkeeper Hugo Lloris. This would prove to be the contest's only goal, as Portugal won 1–0 to claim their first major tournament title. In winning the final, Portugal became the tenth different nation to win the European Championship, twelve years after losing their first final, at home in the 2004 tournament. France became the second host team to lose the final, after Portugal, and suffered their first defeat at a major tournament hosted in the country since the 1960 European Nations' Cup third-place play-off against Czechoslovakia. This was the fifth European Championship final to end in a draw after 90 minutes of play, and the second whose winners were decided by extra time, after the inaugural final in 1960. As the winners, Portugal gained entry into their first FIFA Confederations Cup, which was played in Russia in 2017.This recording reflects the Wikipedia text as of 00:52 UTC on Thursday, 11 June 2026.For the full current version of the article, see UEFA Euro 2016 final on Wikipedia. This podcast uses content from Wikipedia under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.Visit our archives at wikioftheday.com and subscribe to stay updated on new episodes.Follow us on Bluesky at @wikioftheday.com.Also check out Curmudgeon's Corner, a current events podcast.Until next time, I'm neural Arthur.

LAFC and Colorado play to a 0-0 draw at BMO behind another clean sheet from Hugo Lloris. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.
A deeply dull, frustrating 0-0 draw with the Colorado Rapids; one of the most boring, nerdy matches we've ever seen at BMO. No injuries, the return of Aaron Long and Stephen Eustáquio, and Hugo Lloris continuing his stint as a human brick wall are all we'd like to remember from this one. The schedule has pounded us and we played like it. Unfortunately we've got a lot of games, and big games, looking right at us in the coming days and weeks. The season rollercoaster has officially put us on the first big turn heading into Minnesota, then the CONCACAF Champions Cup Semis. LAFC's Rotated XI Falls 2-1 to Portland at the Death — Jude Terry screamer, 3rd-string goalkeeper debut, and all eyes on Cruz Azul. Travis, Darren, and Vince recap LAFC's... tbh? frustrating 1-0 home win over FC Dallas that keeps LAFC perfect through five games the club's best-ever start with 13 goals scored and just one allowed (what a sentence!) Hugo Lloris' and the back line saved the match for us, as Dallas looked sharp, pressed hard, and boxed out Denis Bouanga and Son Heung-min.
