We survived. Now we can finally laugh about it. The full Originals panel — Jim, DJ, Si, Stu and Johnny — sit down for the end-of-season awards: the most bizarre injuries (and Kulusevski's never-ending knock), the best and weirdest goals (Mickey Moore's Puskas, Solanke's scorpion), the takes that aged the worst, the moments we'll never forget, and five very different picks for player of the season. Then Stu walks us through the squad registration maths and what it forces us to do this summer — the priority signings, who has to go, and the one player who missed out on homegrown status by a single day. Plus: Andy Robertson incoming, the Perisic comparison, the Dougie Freedman question, and a Leicester reference at the end that you'll either love or have to actively try not to think about. The first episode of our new data series, The Analyst with Enya, drops on Friday. James, Rocco and Darragha are back after a beautiful Friday night at Elland Road as Leeds United beat Burnley 3-1 to move up to 14th and on to 43 points - the kind of total that's never seen a Premier League side relegated. Anton Stach opened the scoring with a stunning left-footed strike from outside the box (his fourth goal from range this season), Dominic Calvert-Lewin's outrageous back-heel set up Noah Okafor for a glorious Bogle assist, and DCL bundled in his 13th of the season to put the game beyond Mike Jackson's interim Burnley side. We break down the perfect Stach goal in slow motion, debate whether Calvert-Lewin is now Rocco's favourite striker since Tony Yeboah, and reflect on the form run since the Manchester City defeat - 12 points from 21, including the win at Old Trafford and the Wembley FA Cup semi-final alongside it. There's full appreciation of Daniel Farke's elite-level Premier League management, a debate about the referee, and a look at how Leeds have quietly become one of the best-organised sides in the league. Then it's on to Tottenham away on Monday 11th May, with the small matter of Spurs being in the relegation zone, on their third manager of the season under Roberto De Zerbi, and missing roughly half their squad to injury (Simons, Solanke, Kudus, Odobert, Kulusevski, Romero, Vicario, Maddison and more). Plus: the man who lost his watch in the stand, Michael Jackson on the tannoy at full-time, Dara's surprise summer transfer pick to bring back to Elland Road, and why this Leeds squad genuinely wants to be here. 00:00 Welcome and Bass & Bligh 02:07 Reaction to a beautiful night at Elland Road 06:27 Stach's stunning opener 10:19 DCL's back-heel and Okafor's finish 15:11 Calvert-Lewin appreciation 19:14 The third goal and Farke's "43 points" line 23:23 The watch, Michael Jackson and a full moon 27:01 Struijk's error and the referee debate 30:37 Spurs preview: the injury apocalypse 34:05 Summer ahead and Farke is elite 39:24 Dara's curveball: bring Rutter back 42:11 Final thoughts and sign-off
Wolves vs Tottenham preview. Five games left, two points behind West Ham, and a Saturday afternoon at Molineux that suddenly feels like the biggest away day of the season. On today's show the boys look ahead to Roberto De Zerbi's second league game in charge of Spurs, and a fixture that on paper looks straightforward but in reality is anything but. Wolves have already been relegated. The pressure is off them. And this is the same Molineux that has seen home wins this season over Arsenal, Liverpool and Aston Villa. Spurs have won there just twice since 2018. After last weekend's 2-2 draw with Brighton, De Zerbi said he believed Spurs could still finish on 46 points. That means winning every game from here. It starts on Saturday. A first Premier League win of 2026 would give the survival charge some actual oxygen. Anything less and the conversation goes somewhere none of us want it to. Plenty to get into: - The injury list, with Romero, Kudus, Kulusevski, Odobert and Ben Davies all still out, and Vicario edging closer to a return. - Whether Kinsky keeps the gloves after settling in so well. - The midfield question with Bissouma and Bentancur both back in the picture. - Whether Mathys Tel finally gets the nod from the start. - And the one nobody wants to ask out loud: if we don't win at Molineux, what then? Moderator: Gunnar OesterreichMusik: Mattias Klasson/Daniel OlsenDistribution: AcastSamarbetspartners: Life Genomics, Gröna Gårdar, FunmedHitta allt om podden: Websida: https://spannandemoten.se/Instagram: @spannandemotenFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/spannandemotenLinkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/gunnar-oesterreich/Kontakt: gunnar@oesterreich.se eller via sociala medier Hosted on Acast. We stop doing the “everyone's rubbish” routine and actually audit the squad. What's a genuine upgrade, what's just frustration, and who simply doesn't fit. Vicario and the modern keeper problem, Dragusin as the obvious sale, Udogie's injuries, Porro's trade off, midfield balance (and the Paulinha debate), the Kulusevski and Maddison contract time bomb, and why Tel is the one attacker we're building around. Plus, we end with the uncomfortable truth: even if you bin Richarlison and send Kolo Muani back, you still need a proper number nine, and Jon's punt is Osimhen. Learn more about your ad choices. On The Lab we're joined by Dan Kilpatrick from The Athletic to look at where Spurs are heading under Thomas Frank. We talk about the defensive foundations being built, the exciting talent still to come back, and how key players like Kulusevski can transform the attack. We get into midfield tweaks, Xavi Simons' potential, and the big opportunities ahead in the January window with fresh backing from the Lewis era. Plenty of reasons to believe this can still turn into a strong season. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Spurs Beat West Ham in a rounded performance that will put many Spurs fans minds at rest. Not just because of 3 points, but also because Spurs seem to finally have a bench and squad depth that keeps them in touch with the teams they've typically chased. Even with no Kulusevski, Maddison and Solanke. Spurs still had options includig Richarlison, Bentancur, Danso, Udogie and Johnson to call upon. Xavi Simons appears to be the player Spurs have been craving and Bergvall continues to kick on. #TottenhamNews #SpursNews Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
Host Ricky Sacks is joined by George Achillea, Connor and Ash as Tottenham announced their squad for the 2025/26 Champions League league phase. Manager Thomas Frank left out six big names for the club's latest European campaign. Spurs' 25-man squad for their return to Europe's elite club competition doesn't feature Kota Takai, Radu Dragusin, Yves Bissouma, James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski or Mathys Tel. The omission of England international Maddison, 28, comes as no surprise. The midfielder suffered a potentially season-ending knee injury in the club's pre-season friendly against Newcastle in August. Summer signing Takai is also in the treatment room with a plantar fascia injury, and his return date is currently unknown. Dragusin and Kulusevski haven't made the cut as they, like Maddison, are dealing with knee injuries. t's understood that Dragusin could be back to full fitness late next month. Sweden international Kulusevski, meanwhile, is on course to return in late November. We've started the season with a bang under Thomas Frank, beating Manchester City and showing the kind of tactical adaptability we've been crying out for. Mohammed Kudus and João Palhinha look like inspired signings, Richarlison is thriving, and for the first time in a while, we're genuinely excited to watch Spurs. But alongside that optimism is the familiar frustration with transfers. We came close to landing Eberechi Eze only for the deal to collapse, leaving us short of creativity with Maddison and Kulusevski sidelined.
