The boys finish up Kaladesh block with Aether Revolt, and Shivam unloads some more stories about the set and culture behind it! Shivam and Wheeler Love Magic is brought to you by our patrons at Patreon.com/shivamandwheeler. Join us for discord access, bonus episodes and more!
This week begins our coverage of the worlds of Aetherdrift, Magic's multiplanar racing set, and where better to start than the starting line: the plane of Avishkar! This new name isn't a new place, though, as the world formerly known as Kaladesh has undergone a lot of change since we last visited it in Aether Revolt. We take you through the history of the plane, talk about the changes that birthed a new and better world, and run through some legendary names you might see on the track or in the stands during Aetherdrift! If you'd like to join our Discord server to talk all things Magic, sign up for our Patreon at Patreon.com/TheVorthosCast, where everyone who pledges a dollar or more a month gets access! For $3 a month, you get access to our live listen, where you can hear the show recorded live on Thursday evenings!

Premium removal is pretty fantastic, and this is one of the best uncommons in the business. Fatal Push, originally from Aether Revolt, is an absolute banger in older formats and seeing it here with a snazzy new art is absolutely welcome. Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/hamhocks42 Twitter: https://twitter.com/hocks42 Discord: https://discord.gg/yefBNBu Decks: https://aetherhub.com/User/hamhocks42 Overthinking MTG is a daily podcast where our host, HamHocks42, takes a look at a random card from Magic: the Gathering and talks about it for at least 10 minutes. Often, though, he ends up yammering about whatever's on the top of his mind that the card reminds him of and a half hours passes and it turns out all he's done is share his thoughts on recent news related to Commander, Magic: the Gathering Arena, Modern, Pioneer, Standard, or humorous anecdotes from his kitchen table jank days.
