Disneyn uusin Star Wars -tv-sarja, The Acolyte on jakanut mielipiteitä – kahdeksanosainen teos on saanut sekä ylistäviä että murskaavia arvioita. Sarjan keskiössä ovat yliluonnollisia kykyjä omaavat jedi-ritarit, jotka tutkivat kollegansa murhaa. Vuonna 2019 alkoi kiitelty The Mandalorian -sarja, jota seurasi parjattu The Book of Boba Fett sekä Ewan McGregorin tähdittämä Obi Wan Kenobi. Näiden jälkeen julkaistiin Rogue One -spinoff-elokuvan taustatapahtumiin sijoittuva Andor, Pedro Pascalin tähdittämän The Mandalorianin kolmas kausi sekä Rosario Dawnsonin näyttelemä Ahsoka, mitkä ovat kaikki olleet kelvollisia jatkeita Star Wars -avaruusoopperauniversumille. Silti Star Wars mielletään entistä pöhöttyneemmäksi kokonaisuudeksi. Sen alkuperäinen lumo on hiipunut useimpien silmissä yhä laajenevien tuotteiden ja tarinoiden myötä, ja koko franchise on kärsinyt tämän takia monien mielestä inflaatiota.
